What is the state of digital rights in your country?
Do you go to jail if you don't give your encryption password to authorities? Is bitcoin legal? Does your government create state trojans and state virus? Do authorities have the right to hack your computer? Is encryption legal?

LONDON Banks in the European Union (EU) should refrain from offering customer accounts in virtual currencies like bitcoins until regulatory safeguards are in place, the bloc’s banking watchdog said on Friday.
The EU’s executive European Commission responded by saying it was imperative to look quickly at possible regulation. Source: http://www.omantribune.com/index.php?page=news&id=170908&heading=BusinessWhat do you think about this? I think banks will eventually vanish, we do not need them any more

It's getting so huge these days, there are more than 100.000 websites that try to make a unique fingerprint of who you are. What do you think, is this really neccesary? should the web be reformed, or should the tracking increase? should there be laws on tracking, or basically, anything is allowed? For a random list see http://bitbin.it/kVdKkkVL (it's a little messy, but you can see the sites) but of course, the scale is far beyond this list

The price of one bitcoin will reach $2000 by the end of 2014, a venture capitalist has predicted - a 226pc increase from the virtual currency's present value.
"I actually think $2000 is a pretty conservative estimate," he told The Telegraph. "We don't know for sure if it's going to happen in this year, but there's no doubt in my mind that Bitcoin's price is going to be thousands of dollars and, almost for sure, tens of thousands of dollars for one."
Source : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/currency/10960012/Bitcoin-price-to-hit-2000-by-end-of-the-year.htmlI think it's an interesting prediction. What do you think? will we hit $2000 by the end of 2014 ? Personally I think we'll see $4000 per bitcoin one day

La Maison du Bitcoin is hosting the very first French bitcoin hackathon. It will take place on June 13-14-15th in the brand new coworking space, 35 rue du Caire, 2nd arrondissement of Paris.
Many entrepreneurs are thinking about working on bitcoin projects in France, but so far only a dozen startups have been launched. The goal of this hackathon is to create a first spark in the French ecosystem and to offer visibility for the actors who wish to be a part of it. But above all, this hackathon will be the occasion to form great teams for potential bitcoin businesses.
I am very excited to see what projects will be created thanks to this event: a bitcoin hackathon is the perfect way to showcase bitcoin as an application platform. Beyond new payment methods, the bitcoin protocol makes it possible to transfer property rights in an unforgeable and transparent way. Property rights can refer to digital money indeed, but also to shares or any kind of certificates.
Here are a few examples of what could be created on top of the protocol:
Micropayment based applications – incentivised open wifi hotspots, pay-per-second ad free radio, etc Smart contracts: building a crowdfunding platform completely managed through the bitcoin network Hardware applications: physical locker or door controlled by the bitcoin blockchain
