2  Bitcoin / Project Development / BitcoinReminder.com is looking for an investor/takeover on: October 14, 2014, 10:03:23 PM
Dear valued users,

BitcoinReminder.com is looking for an investor/takeover.

---[ WHY? ]-----------------------------------------------------------

Any payment service requires a very careful maintenance and we were doing so responsibly since 2011.

The service has never suffered any hack or a major technical problem, earning the trust of thousands of users.

However, since our time and resources are limited it's getting harder and harder for us to ensure perfectly safe and robust service performance. Also we are looking forward to a new bitcoin project, so we would like to free our time for the new one. It was (and is still) a great feeling to develop BitcoinReminder.com, but as time goes by, interest and direction changes.

---[ FOR SALE ]-------------------------------------------------------

Should you feel like buying BitcoinReminder.com, please submit an amount you are willing to pay to office@bitcoinreminder.com.

The highest amount wins the blind auction. If the bids are not enough from our perspective, we won't sell BitcoinReminder.com and continue the service.

This auction includes:
- complete source code (Ruby on Rails)
- bitcoinreminder.com domain
- database (enabling you to resume the service where it stopped)
- server scripts/configuration and monitoring recipes

The code base is relatively clean, conforms with ruby on rails conventions and is well tested. It should be easy to navigate for a rails programmer.

Deadline for submitting buy offers is on *Saturday*, 1 Nov 2014.

Thanks and happy trading,
Peter

6  Local / Deutsch (German) / [Österreich] Bitcoins als Bezahlung als Sebstständiger? on: February 18, 2014, 07:03:10 PM
Hallo Leute,

Smiley

8  Local / Projektentwicklung / BitcoinReminder.com - Beta-Phase vorbei! Hallo BitcoinReminder.com! on: August 01, 2013, 05:47:01 PM
Hey Leute,

9  Bitcoin / Project Development / BitcoinReminder.com - Goodbye beta, Hello solid BitcoinReminders on: August 01, 2013, 05:07:11 PM
Hey,

You all know staying up to date about current bitcoin exchange rates is crucial for making wise and profitable trades.

I founded and developed BitcoinReminder.com a realtime notification service for people who want to stay current with Bitcoin exchange rates on their own terms.
Our system monitors Bitcoin exchange rates 24/7 and alerts you via email, text/SMS or Jabber/XMPP if the markets' rate drops or exceeds your specified limits.

Over the last two years we have been improving and polishing BitcoinReminder.com. Since it now runs great and feedback has been excellent,
we are happy to announce that we ended our beta phase today.

From now on, you can count on us to be notified about Bitcoin rates when it matters most. With our new payment model,
we’ve set ourselves up for continued investments and improvements to Bitcoinreminder.com.
We aim to maintain high reliability and high quality service to make sure you never miss a good trading chance.

I want to give a big thanks to our veteran users (at the moment, about 1100).
I hope we get the chance to show tons of new users exactly what our veteran users already find so great!

If you have any suggestions, wishes, or criticisms, please feel free to create a uservoice ticket at https://bitcoinreminder.uservoice.com/,
post your thoughts here, write us a private message here on the forum, or write us an email at office@bitcoinreminder.com.

Try it out, get free reminders and register at BitcoinReminder.com

Best regards & happy trading!

14  Local / Projektentwicklung / Betatest: E-Mail / SMS Handelskurs Warndienst (derzeit alles kostenlos!) on: August 06, 2011, 06:08:44 PM
Hallo Leute,

http://test.bitcoinreminder.com

18  Other / Beginners & Help / Trading: Will price go up? Newbie question on: June 30, 2011, 12:40:53 AM

Do you think the price will go up in the next hours on mt. gox (http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/mtgoxUSD.html)?
Because of the many buy offers? Or is there no correlation? Im not good in economics and want to hear your opinion...

thanks!
19  Other / Beginners & Help / OSX Growl-Ruby-Bitcoin-Ticker on: June 29, 2011, 11:18:06 PM
I published a OSX Ruby Growl script: https://github.com/lichtamberg/Growl-Ruby-Bitcoin-Ticker

==== DESCRIPTION
Ruby script for OSX which fetches the current trade data of Mt. Gox and Bitmarket.eu (EUR) and
shows a growl notification if the trade data exceeds a specific up/down limit.

You can justify yourself which limits you want (f.e. notification when last trade was 15 % higher than the last one)

=== Requirements ===

Ruby (think it works with 1.8.7 as well as 1.9.2)
installed growlnotify

and following gems:

require 'rubygems'
require 'json'
require 'money'
require 'growl'

=== Limits ===

Default values are:

  up_mark = 1.007
  down_mark = 0.993

You can set them in the script yourself.

Feel free to send pull requests!
