1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BitcoinDark to make Bitcoin anonymous on: August 18, 2014, 09:23:35 AM
I learned about this press release and wanted to share:

Bitcoin Made Anonymous By BitcoinDark’s Unprecedented Cryptocurrency Teleport Technology

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/bitcoin-made-anonymous-bitcoindark-unprecedented-033200415.html

I know, "altcoins" are heavily scrutinized by the Bitcoin community. But BitcoinDark does not have the ambition to compete with Bitcoin, it is rather a platform to make cryptocurrencies anonymous in general, even the king of kings itself.

quote from the press release :

"BitcoinDark is not just an innovative anonymous cryptocurrency: it is an evolving toolbox of cutting edge technology for cryptocurrency developers and enthusiasts worldwide. With its collaborative spirit, planned super network of many different cryptocurrencies utilizing BTCD core infrastructure, anonymous transactions for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, decentralized InstantDEX currency exchange and much more – BitcoinDark is not just a cryptocurrency but a revolutionary digital currency infrastructure"

In light of the ongoing discussion about Bitcoin legislation, do you think BitcoinDark could serve a purpose in keeping Bitcoin the way it was intended; decentralized and anonymous? I am looking forward to the discussion.

I've been following the BTCTalk thread ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=684090.0 ) about BitcoinDark since the beginning. I am quite fond of BTCD because it does not aim to directly compete with other anonymous coins, the cutthroat hostility between other coins really saddens me. The thing I like about BTCD is that it can make all cryptocurrencies anonymous, without taking sides. (My guess is that's why the BTCD thread has remained relatively FUD free) I wanted to share the following press release:

Bitcoin Made Anonymous By BitcoinDark’s Unprecedented Cryptocurrency Teleport Technology

BitcoinDark is a community driven project that aims to fulfill the original ideals of cryptocurrency: decentralization, openness, and anonymity

Next generation anonymous cryptocurrency BitcoinDark will implement the primary innovation of Teleport technology to ensure privacy through off-blockchain transactions. In line with the original idea behind Bitcoin, BitcoinDark aims to create a decentralized currency and payment system – however the evolution of BitcoinDark will encompass much more – supporting decentralized trading, a P2P asset exchange and constructive collaboration across the cryptocurrency ecosystem as a whole.
BitcoinDark’s exclusive anonymous teleport technology will also make Bitcoin itself fully anonymous.
