Paving the Way to Financial Inclusion for Everyone

                                                                                             http://bitcoindark.com
                                                                                             http://twitter.com/BitcoinDark
                                                                                             https://www.reddit.com/r/bitcoindark/
                                                                                             http://slackinvite.supernet.org/

BitcoinDark is a disrupting cryptocurrency platform that seeks to overcome many of the disadvantages inherent to the current world of finance. In addition: we firmly believe that everyone should be free to transact privately, and without the costs imposed by the gatekeepers of the world’s currencies and markets.

Read our Manifesto

P2P Instant Exchange (InstantDEX)
The BitcoinDark client includes an integrated instant decentralised exchange (InstantDEX), which allows near-realtime trading of a wide range of cryptocurrencies and assets. InstantDEX builds up composite orderbooks from many sources, giving the best possible depth and narrowest spreads, and settles trades on a peer-to-peer basis.

You can also trade pegged assets, giving you access to the world’s major currencies, securities and share indices – without the usual impediments of commission fees and KYC requirements.

Read FAQs about InstantDEX

Pegged Asset Exchange (PAX)

BitcoinDark’s Pegged Asset Exchange (PAX) enables users to buy and sell pegged assets, including major currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, CNY), commodities (gold, silver, copper), ETFs and stocks. PAX is completely decentralised and has no single point of failure – meaning it cannot easily be shut down by governments or other third parties.

Learn more about PAX
View the PAX Infographic

Blockchain Features

InstantDEX, PAX and also BitcoinDark itself can be stored on your own personal machine. This means that you will always have access to your assets: no more need for brokers and/or banks to function as your middleman! From now on you can do it from your own home.

Be your own bank, and take the responsibilities that come with it. Never before in history has mankind been able to trade, store and send currencies, commodities and stocks this easily.
(IGUANA, BitcoinDark's Chrome App.  More information Coming soon)

Make Use of Your Stake

BitcoinDark is a complete financial system. Revenues generated are distributed to stakers to reward them for protecting and maintaining the network. Anyone can buy BTCD and run the client. Revenues are periodically paid out in BTCD, with revenue streams generated by SuperNET and a wide range of other businesses and initiatives.

Getting Started

Seen enough? To get started first download our client wallet!(See Below) Then, if you want to fill it with some tokens, visit one of the two major exchanges Bittrex and Poloniex. Afterwards you can check your transactions with the ExploreBTCD.info Block Explorer.

In case you have any questions left, feel free to ask them to our Twitter, the Reddit thread, or better yet, write to info@supernet.org to request an invite to our Slack community and join the development process!

BTC AND DRK?

Essentially yes.  It fills a market gap and allows older generation ASIC miners to put their rigs to use again.

If you want this coin to succeed, we really need a new logo. The current one hurts my eyes

Anyway, I'm looking forward to it. I'd like to see where an SHA-256 coin goes during the crazy X11,X13 phase.

edit 8/22/14: I wish I followed and mined this coin. It's a lot bigger than I expected.

I'm also a bit skeptical over this statement, but I don't believe that someone would use their own BTCtalk account scamcoin. They're practically asking for an infamous reputation if thats the case.

NO MORE PREMINE GET OFF

How else can a coin offer anon bounties, offer giveaways, and have other kinds of bounties?

I agree, this seems legit.

I kind of agree the logo could be designed better. Is there a possible bounty for a new logo?

Yes, this is the purpose of using my personal bitcointalk.  The problem, as everyone should be well aware of, is trust, and this problem plagues every new coin that is released.

Anyone interested in BTCD can review my posting history and decide for themselves whether or not they want to place trust in the project.

With regards to the pre-mine.  As a previous poster indicated, without a pre-mine, it would be near impossible  in terms of future development.  Again, this gets back to the trust issue, and I know it is a sore issue with many.  I also have been burned on a few coins in the past and it sucks when it happens.

I'll be here to answer anyone's questions.  The intent here is to be completely open and honest.

Furthermore, I would welcome anyone's criticisms.  Please try to keep them constructive to help keep development moving forward.

I'm not mining altcoins anymore only BTC but it's refreshing to see a DEV use a non newbie acct for a coin. All coins should follow that as a guideline.
It adds a small level of accountability...  Grin
