2  Economy / Economics / The Promising Future of Bitcoin on: June 04, 2014, 06:58:54 AM
Bitcoin , is a strange word for me a month ago, and I have never heard of it before. But now, Bitcoin has consumed a lot of my work time, and even found its way to my life time. Everyday I find myself checking my computer or phone for the latest news of Bitcoin, which has opened my eyes. And I'm interested in it gradually. Here, I just share my ideas with you. I believe that Bitcoin has a promising future. There are some reasons to support my ideas.
On the one hand, from the adoption prospective, you can find Bitcoin in business, education, entertainment and other industries. In business, a major New York law firm decided to accept bitcoin. The firm says they recognize that bitcoin is here to stay, and are already playing an important role in business and the economy. In education, the Immersive Education Initiative(a not-for-profit organization) on Monday launched what is said to be the world's first global education scholarship fundable through bitcoin, which is good for spreading bitcoin. In entertainment, Snoop Dogg expressed interest in accepting bitcoin for his latest album, and former Spice Girl Mel B actually went through with it by offering her single up in exchange for the digital currency, which is an interesting development in the Bitcoin space and highlights the community's companies and other notable entities. On the other hand, Bitcoin seems to be have a healthy environment. The Financial Conduct Authority--a regulator in the United Kingdom--has made it clear they want to help the development of bitcoin business by having a regulatory environment that supports them, which can promote and create room for Bitcoin into the market. A permissive regulatory environment is key to helping digital currencies flourish, especially when speaking of bitcoin. Thankfully, it's nice that not only Uk regulators, but some other regulators, have recognized that point.
From the above, Bitcoin will be valuable, because it can be used in real world, not only online world. Therefore, I believe Bitcoin will help the world.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BTC and the 2014 Brazil World Cup on: June 03, 2014, 07:51:27 AM
Hello, guys! I'm a staff from BD Development Ltd. We are a team of dedicated developers, and more importantly, Bitcoin enthusiasts who believe that the benefits of cryptocurrency can be applied to help improve the global economy. We aim to bring awareness and adoption of Bitcoin into the world of sports, currently focusing especially on the soccer industry. We believe that the success of a digital currency is determined by two important factors, adoption by real-world users and infrastructure to use the currency. To achieve this, our team will carry out several marketing projects to increase adoption not only among users, but to also revolutionlize the socioeconomic world of soccer through the implementation of Bitcoin as a payment method in commercial establishments linked to the sports. This will then allow users to spend Bitcoin for sports merchandise and services. Furthermore, we also understand the importance of spreading adoption to the mainstream consumer for Bitcoin users. Bitcoin hopes to achieve the same with soccer lovers all over the world as they unite to enjoy the world's favourite sport. To do so,  we aim to conduct a physical distribution of Bitcoins to the world's population during major soccer events, such as the Brazil World Cup 2014.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Does Bitcoin Require Regulations? on: May 30, 2014, 08:12:02 AM
As we all know, Bitcoin is an innovative payment network and a new kind of money. It uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks; managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the network. Bitcoin is open-source; its design is public, nobody owns or controls Bitcoin and everyone can take part. Although many of its unique properties, it still faces some dificulties.
Recently, a number of publications posted about an economic note on bitcoin regulations. Different people hold  different ideas for it.David Descôteaux of the  Montreal Economic Institute suggested that bitcoin would require regulation, but according to the Canadian Bitcoin Foundation, they would much prefer if the government kept out.
In my opinion, I agree with David Descôteaux. In order to develop and thrive, Bitcoin requires regulations. The Bitcoin network is decentralized, which has two sides. On the one hand, it is good for free development of Bitcoin. However, on the other hand , it brings lots of big risks, such as cheating ,crime, etc. Therefore, Bitcoin requires regulations. The regulations requires government intervention to some extent. The measures kook by government can promote healthy development of Bitcoin.
