42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / WHEN WAS YOUR WORST MOMENT AND CHALLENGE WITH BITCOIN ? on: September 12, 2022, 07:44:47 AM
I believe everyone here onboard this platform once had a very  though and challenging moment with bitcoin at the initial start. At first it seems unrealistic then looks like a scam but at last it was a real deal. sharing our experiences and worst moment might just help others build on and also bring us back to the very first beginning of our journey into bitcoin then. This would also help us evaluate how far we have gone and also creates room for more on-boarding of more adopters. Sharing our experiences on how we started would also encourage more to be steadfast  in the system. This would go a long way in helping others at the verge of giving up on bitcoin.

How was your worst moment and experience like and how were you able to handle it then ?
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / With the hacks and Bitcoin for ransome, who's to be blamed? on: July 08, 2022, 11:22:03 AM
Recently, there have been series of data and financial hack by hackers from exchanges and kyc verification firms entrusted with customers data, information and funds. The most recent is that of the 1billion Chinese data hack and hacker demanding for 10 btc as ransome.
I strongly believe that information and data of citizens are to be treated with utmost care because it's a private affairs so must be accorded due respect but when the third party entrusted with such information can't show any credibility and reliable feature in playing their role what happens?
It is unfortunate that data information of clients can't be protected with utmost care as a result of breached security measures.
Now I ask though it sounds funny but to be realistic, this is the reality. Who is to be blamed for funds hacks, data leak/hack? Is it the government, security agencies or the kyc firms or the sole organization that demands all customers must under a kyc verification process. Your genuine opinions are all welcomed.

44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Crypto in time of rescue. on: June 24, 2022, 05:21:29 PM
Today I decided to take a walk down the road side. Normally I don't take anything with me as I walk but today I decided to go out with my mobile phone. While taking a walk I admired the environment and surroundings as beautifully made and was full of joy and happiness. On getting to the other end of the Street, I noticed some group of boys ( assumed to be
in early teens age) walking pleading for help. So I stopped and called one of them inquiring to know what the matter was and he said that the others were his brothers and that they have not eaten anything yet today. I felt bad and I wondered what must have happened. Well I never bother asking them any question further because from the looks, things weren't alright with their parents.
I had no money on me to give them neither do I have any money on me to buy food for them there and then. I had to invite them with me to a friend  whom owns a supermarket at the other end of the Street. I introduced him into Crypto a longtime ago. We had to walk a little distant as well. When we got to his supermarket, I bought some snacks and drinks for them and they were all happy. They thanked me for coming to their rescue in time and I was wondering if I had not taken a walk what would have happened to them maybe God wanted me to rescue them that was why I went out and with my phone. After they had gone, I turned to my friend and explained him how it all happened I pleaded with him to accept Crypto in payment and he accepted for the kind gesture I showed to the kids. There and then I paid the bill in Crypto with my phone.

I was happy  to have rescued those innocent kids wondering about for help. Internally I had joy that filled me all through and secondly I was able to do that through Crypto payment.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bill prohibiting crypto currency as means of payment on review. on: June 14, 2022, 01:59:38 PM
It is no new thing about the clampdown on Crypto currency and assets globally. Many countries have tagged crypto currency's illegal and therefore prohibit their banks and other financial institutions from transacting or dealing on Crypto. As we all know, Russians are major stakeholders in crypto and of lately, the Russian parliament are reviewing a bill to prohibit payments via crypto currency.  As a matter of fact, taking this into consideration that crypto currencies are volatile, Russians role in the blockchain industry and the current bear market. Will this continue to mount pressure on the crypto market if this bill scales through after the review and vote. Your thoughts and contributions are welcomed.

46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What are the comparative advantage of Bitcoin over other blockchains? on: June 11, 2022, 01:48:29 PM
Bitcoin is no doubt the first digital currency i.e digital gold to be founded. So far it has taken the lead over other crypto currencies such as ethereum, cardano, stellar etc for some years now. It has been in limelight and had been recognized and accepted as a means of legal tender in most part of the world. Currently, many blockchain projects are under development with good potentials and use cases. Now I ask a question, Will Bitcoin survive the taste of time in the nearest future?  Will there be any preferential treatment for Bitcoin if definitely a new contender comes up?
Your thoughts, ideas and opinions are welcomed.
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How do you educate petty traders in adopting Bitcoin? on: June 09, 2022, 10:26:48 AM
I have come to realize that mostly on daily basis, petty traders; hawker stall, street vendors, street hawkers, market men and women, kiosks do transactions often and frequently and they are not amongst the top class citizens in the society. Some are uneducated and are not anywhere near technology to get acquainted with blockchain and Bitcoin. I believe if they are informed and have knowledge about Bitcoin properly they will want to key into it so as to save themselves of unnecessary stress and expenses from banks and other groups.
What's your opinion in educating these petty traders and letting them know more about Bitcoin because  I believe this is amongst the grassroot adoption which starts from the base as they do transact more often than some of the big companies we hear of. Although the petty traders do little amount but it is most often on daily basis.
What steps would you take in drawing the attention of the traders to Bitcoin?
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How has SEC contributed to the blockchain industry? on: June 08, 2022, 10:05:06 AM
As we all know the SEC so far was established for checkmating exchange activities be it Fiat or crypto currency but it's current outburst on crypto currencies and projects is unbecoming. Now I ask to what extent has the SEC really contributed to the improvement of the blockchain industry over the years past. Recently, binance is under investigation only God knows what the outcome would look like. I need you honest opinion.
