61  Other / Meta / Find Bitcoin Address? on: November 06, 2017, 05:53:56 AM
I wanted to ask is there any feature on bitcointalk where we can find addresses posted by a user? Instead of going through the history of a user, is there a quick way to find out weather a bitcoin address was posted by a user or not? Is there some sort of script etc for this?
62  Bitcoin / Project Development / Bitcoin hodl clubs? on: October 29, 2017, 01:02:35 PM
Hey fellow bitcointalk members, i was wondering if there are any hodling clubs out there? I mean where people stake in an address with x amount of btc for x period of time? They don't send their coins to anyone, they are in possession of their coins all the time, they just sign an address and stake it in a thread. If they want to leave they just take out their btcs no penalties etc, just a fun project. what do you think of it? Are there projects like this out there? If so please list them.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BCH and BTG Balances Question. on: October 27, 2017, 05:26:49 AM
So i am not familiar with these forks and how they work. I do know that, during a specific point in time both the forks took a snapshot of the blockchain and our balances were carried over to those altcoins. Now my question is a simple one, if i claim my BCH and BTG, will i lose my BTC? Like if i had 0.1 BTC, that would mean at the time of snaphot i would have 0.1 BCH and 0.1 BTG Respectively, If i sell those, will i lose my BTC too?
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Robert Shiller "Bitcoin a Fad" on: October 19, 2017, 08:13:10 AM
So i read the article yesterday, He said that Bitcoin is a "Fad" and it will disappear just like bimetallism, well i disagree with him, Managing metals is and can be a pain in the a**, While bitcoin and other crypto-currencies don't carry that sort of burden. Why do people comment on things that they don't understand properly. Why has he made a comparison in 2 different things? plus why is that when bitcoin reaches new heights and somebody comes forward with FUD. Do let me know what you think of his comments.

65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / PC/Android/IOS wallet with fingerprint encryption? on: October 05, 2017, 06:41:43 AM
Hey guys, i want to ask if there is any wallet software which encrypts the wallet.dat file with our fingerprint data, so that instead of typing a password which can be compromised by a keylogger, that wallet software should use our fingerprint data and some how use that data to encrypt the wallet.dat file and it should ask for the fingerprint to send btcs etc. Do let me know if any wallet like this exists or not. If it doesn't i will try to make one.

67  Other / Off-topic / Math Question. on: September 28, 2017, 08:53:45 AM
Hello Fellow Bitcointalk members. Please explain this. Keep in mind I am not good in maths, so please don't be harsh. Tongue

Lets say an item costs $100, and we want to increase its price by 30% on the current price, The right way would have been

($100x30)/100 + $100 = 130$ right..?

But today i came across a dude, who did things differently. Instead of solving it that way.

He said Lets subtract 30% from 100% and then calculate the new increased price on the new percentage.

100%- 30% = 70% ( new percentage )

so if we divide

$100/70% we should get the same thing as 30% increase right?, well the answer is surprising(to me atleast), instead of $130, we get $142.85

What is happening here?

we should get the same answer shouldn't we? if are dividing the original price by 70% this means we should be getting the 130% of the Original price. That would mean an automatic addition of 30% to the original price. Why are the answers different. Its just bugging me.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Smart inputs? on: September 15, 2017, 11:39:12 AM
I have a question regarding inputs, let's say i have 3 inputs, two of them have 0.015 btc and one has 0.03 btc, let's say i have to send 0.03 btc, my question is are the wallets like electrum smart enough to use the single input or they will use the inputs randomly.
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Your Lucky moments during gambling? on: September 06, 2017, 04:36:13 AM
Well this happened with a friend of mine twice, he is just a one lucky fellow. He is one of those yolo gamblers. He mostly gambles on sports, anyway first time it happened was in South Africa vs Pakistan series where Pakistan was out of the match and they won in the last 2 overs, one by Junaid khan and another with saeed ajmal. His bet was around 2000 dollars on that match and Pakistan won that series. Same kind of stuff happened in the srilanka vs Pakistan t20 match, Pakistan won when they were i think 40/5.

He has won too many bets in these situations, my question is have anyone else experienced this kind of luck while they were gambling?
70  Bitcoin / Electrum / Electrum tip for newbies! Plus my Recovery story on: August 22, 2017, 06:46:18 PM
So, i have a big tip for you guys, especially the newbies. So what happened was, a few months back, i moved from blockchain to electrum, electrum created a "Default wallet" for me, fortunately for me i saved the seed, in a text file even thou i did not intend to use it. Anyway i created a new custom wallet with a different name and closed the electrum thinking that it would have set the new wallet as default one.

After a while i started receiving payments and i did not pay attention to the wallet name, the wallet which was receiving the btcs, now a few months later i had to spend some btcs, i tried entering my password, it gave me an error, spent almost half an hour entering the password nothing happened, also i was very calm during the process, which helped me during my recovery. So after failing, i decided to use the seed of my custom wallet, it did recover but it empty, at this point it was clear to me that I had messed up big time.

Anyway i went to app data and found two wallets, the default one which had received all the payments and my custom wallet, i spent the next hour or so trying every password i had saved, but it did not work! I had almost given up my hope but then i thought maybe i did save the default wallet's seed and started going through all text files i had on my pc, i searched my hard drives one by one manually and didn't find any seed, after spending like 5 hours, i finished my hunt, the only part remaining was my desktop location, which too had too many text files.

There was one file sitting there named, new text document and it had the seed in it. Fortunately to me it was the one, this has been a life changing experience for me, and it's a lesson for newbies to pay proper attention when they use electrum.

TL:DR

Always make sure the wallet name is the correct one when using electrum.

72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Single Input? on: August 19, 2017, 07:22:38 AM
I want to know what will happen in the following scenario.

Let's say i have 5 different addresses, all of them have single inputs, meaning they all have received one payment each. Let's say i have another address, Address "X" and i transfer all the btcs from those 5 addresses to Address "X". Will it become a single input for address "X"? Or I will still have the 5 inputs. I just want to know this because of recent fee hikes. I have many addresses with smaller denominations and want some to join up some, what's the best way of achieving this?
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Ever regretted not gambling? on: August 14, 2017, 09:01:11 PM
The question is quite simple one, have you ever regretted not gambling on an occasion? Like football matches etc, where you had a gut feeling of a team wining but you didn't bet? This happened with me in the recent el classico, i had a gut feeling of Real Madrid winning 3-1 but i just didn't bet. Smdh
74  Economy / Long-term offers / Need an Adsense Partner. on: August 14, 2017, 02:38:29 PM
Hello fellow bitcointalk members, I need an Adsense Partner, by adsense partner i mean, What ever amount my website generates, i want to get that amount in bitcoin at the end of the day, The website is yet to be launched and its gaming related, but it is ready. I have 2 Pages on Facebook from where i will drive the traffic from(100K likes and 10K likes Respectively). I will prove the ownership of those pages to only those people who are interested in working with me. The amount will be low first around $20-$30 per day, In a few weeks the earnings are expected to rise to $70 - $150 per day, So i need a partner who can sell that amount of bitcoins daily. We will use your adsense account for the ads obviously.

How do i know it will work?
I have ran a similar project in the past and can show you my earnings of a week via Team Viewer Session, if you are interested in partnering up. Send me a pm and we can discuss this further there.

Your View on this Video and how will AI effect the Blockchain/Monetary System, Your thoughts on this subject. In my opinion bad things are coming for us, Cuz i don't think the elite will think twice for us. They want to stay in power and this could really threaten their existence. In the long run if AI succeeds we will become a cashless society imo. Would love to hear your thoughts on this subject.

79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Open AI Gambling Bot/Discussion on: June 10, 2017, 09:23:37 AM
So Recently Elon Musk announced the Open AI as we know, If you don't know about "Open AI" just google it, It is basically a bot which learns from visual input and becomes a master at doing whatever it is trained on(Given enought time), It can master any Atari game and can even predict stock prices by given it the proper data, so i was wondering what if somebody trains it on Poker or Dice game? It will be the perfect player, far better than the human and could probably make websites go bankrupt, as there is no defeating to an AI. From what i am seeing the future will be AI's Playing against each other. The person who will have a better AI player will win the most bets, Let me know what do you think about it.
