Honestly, this question has been on my mind for a long time, who actually are the members who often comment on wall observer? they are legendary members who have many merits, they have never registered or joined a sign campaign, I suspect they are holders or miners, maybe they are true bitcoin lovers, maybe some members think their posts are just shitpost/off topic but they are existing members on this forum are not for campaigns, they are there for bitcoin

Guys, do you often feel like me? when I raise the bet I lose and when I lower the bet I win. Does the casino system/algorithm know the betting patterns we make? So often when we bet big we are given a loss and when our bet is small we actually win, which is very annoying

As we know, there is a neighboring forum that is starting to get busy for some reason, and we can teleport the account there. So what happens if someone sells their account on a neighboring forum? Maybe it hasn't happened yet, but someday it might happen when the neighbor forum becomes bigger than it is now. (I mean selling teleport accounts from bitcointalk accounts)

I think this will be related to trust and whether there needs to be a cross-forum DT policy? It sounds crazy, but the thought was actually in my head

A few days ago I started learning about Bitcoin Core and found it to be more complicated than the Electrum I was used to. I'm still new to Bitcoin Core, but yesterday we came across what I thought was an interesting discussion on our local forum about wallet descriptors in Bitcoin Core. By default as far as I know we can't retrieve the private key, as @achow101 said

Descriptor wallets do not allow dumpprivkey because the fundamental principle behind descriptor wallets is that private keys are not enough information to transport a wallet. Private keys lack derivation information and lack information about what kind of scripts to create. They also do not work for wallets that have anything more complicated than just single key scripts. Thus allowing a RPC that only outputs private keys would be working against the point of having descriptors.

Instead of dumpprivkey, descriptor wallets have listdescriptors. This will output all of the descriptors stored in the wallet, which means that it will include information about derivation paths and scripts to create. Descriptors are a full backup of the key and script information stored in the wallet. With 23.0, listdescriptors will also be able to optionally output descriptors containing private keys.

However one of the members on our local forum was able to provide a way to find the private key in the wallet descriptor, via third party support of course. I haven't tried it but one of the other members on the local forum has tried it and had success

Here's How:

- Open "console" and enter passphrase walletpassphrase "your password" 600, If your wallet has encrypt passphrase
- Next use the argument getaddressinfo "your address"
   ~ Note the type of script address in the parent descriptor section ("parent_desc") pkh, wpkh, sh or tr
   ~ Note the hdkeypath
- Next use the argument listdescriptors true
- From the results, look for a descriptor ("desc") that has the same script address type (pkh, wpkh, sh or tr) as the "parent_desc" that you previously noted And make sure it has the same hdkeypath too
- Note the extended private key (xprv key)
- Download BIP39 Tool (Mnemonic Code Converter) https://github.com/iancoleman/bip39/releases , and run it offline (turn off the internet network)
- Enter the xprv key in the BIP32 Root Key column in the BIP39 Tool
- Done, you will find the private key from the address on the descriptor wallet

We know that all bitcoin transactions will be recorded in the ledger and the data will get bigger day by day, is it logical if the recording has reached 100 or 200 years, and how big will the bitcoin ledger data be in the future?

In my opinion, bitcoin transactions are very slow, because they take around 10 minutes, even though currently there is LN but in my opinion it is not the right solution, especially since there are people who say LN is not bitcoin because it is different from the main bitcoin network. Can bitcoin transactions be accelerated in the future? I think Bitcoin needs to accelerate with increasingly sophisticated technological developments, and transaction speed will probably become a vital need in the future

Since 2024 started, I have seen changes in discussion behavior in forum which have changed quite a lot compared to 2023. Yes, of course we all know that the most fundamental change is the banning of mixers and all their campaigns from forum.

Maybe I'm still too early to draw conclusions because we are only 6 days into 2024.
