michaeladair for some reason was recently added to BadBear's trust list. Since he has been added, he has now used his position on Default trust list to silence me twice. it is unknown how many other people he has silenced that have not been willing to speak up and simply stopped yelling "scam" when they got negative trust. The day he was added to BadBear's list he sent me a PM asking me to remove my negative trust rating on Redsn0w because "he is to be trusted", he eventually added a negative trust rating on me when I did not remove it. For unknown reasons he removed it after (or maybe right before) he started this thread, which his position was not generally supported. I know there is a (likely hacked) account that is for sale and on default trust list and I am thinking it might be it. here is where the account is being sold. I had been messaging him regarding his exploit via an alt of mine and had been replying to me once ever ~2 mins and has not responded since I asked him for a signed message from an old address. After sending two PM's he replied several minutes later suggesting a particular escrow. I asked him again for a signed message and have not gotten a response. I messaged him from a 2nd alt and have gotten several responses after requesting a signed message from the first one. I have noticed that there have been a lot of bumps in the digital goods section that are done more often then every 24 hours. The solution to these is to report them to get them deleted (this part is easy).

I have also noticed that several threads seem to get random people asking random questions in threads and then never coming back to the thread, nor appear to have any actual interest in what is being sold. From what I can tell these posts are made at approximate times where the thread would appear towards the bottom of the first page or somewhere after the 1st page; not only that but the original poster will not respond until the thread will have fallen to a similar place (I have not had a chance to do a study on this, I was planning on doing so, however it seems that bump spam has gotten worse in recent times).

The reason I noticed this happening is because of this thread which is someone offering to use their various accounts to bump threads (obviously more often then every 24 hours).

I have noticed that this is only happening to certain threads, while other threads are receiving zero (or close to zero) of these random questions despite selling similar items.

I don't think it is appropriate to report most of the posts by random accounts because they do ask legitimate questions, and the responses are also legitimate, it is just that based on activity that happens after such questions are asked and answered, the process repeats itself with another account.

My questions are is there anything that can be done about this? Is it possible to track this kind of behavior? What is the appropriate way to report this kind of activity?

I have honestly been guilty of bumping more then once every 24 hours, (several months ago - probably 4+) was caught, and spoken to and promptly changed my bumping behavior to wait in much more then 24 hours between bumps (often much more then 24 hours - sometimes days). If this pattern of random questions is being done by persons in control of the same account as the person who created such thread, I think this is unfair to others who play by the rules, only bump as often as allowed and promptly responds to questions made in sales threads (eliminating the extra "free" bump)

EDIT: Hulu+, BeatsMusic, MalawareBytes Bundle 1.5$! appears to be engaging in this activity. The user Hello Im Me appears to have several threads with similar abusive behavior

I have decided to dip my toe into signature advertising. I am looking for people to advertise my account selling thread.

I will start with one two week term (this is great if you are waiting for a big campaign to open). My rates (for the two week period) will be as follows:

Full member - .024 BTC
Senior member - .029 BTC
Hero/Legendary - .03 BTC
Orange/Red trust - above rates * 60%

Note: you must make 30 posts to qualify for this payment.

Rules:

You cannot edit your enrollment post - if you edit your enrollment post then payment will be denied
You must make at least 30 posts
~~At least 7 posts must be in either the Marketplace sections or the Beginners and Help sections~~While I do encourage posts in the marketplace and beginners section there is not post requirement to do so
Spam (including bumps, +1's, posts that only contain smilies, posts that only contain pictures, one sentence posts) will not be counted
Excessive spam may result in you getting kicked from the campaign
I will count a maximum of 5 posts in signature campaign threads after you have made 2 posts in signature campaign threads - in other words the first 2 posts in signature campaign threads will not count, provided they otherwise meet the criteria to be counted, after that I will count at most 5 posts in signature campaign threads - the exception is posts on this thread which will not count period
Posts in threads discussing/asking how to sign a bitcoin message will not count
Posts in my account selling thread will not count
If you are banned at any time during the campaign payment will be denied
If 4 or more of your posts (or threads) are deleted by a moderator then payment will be denied - this is much more then what should be deleted in a two week period (I am not going to employ a moderator to check this, however I will check each participants against the modlog for this and the above rule - If I receive an unsolicited report by a staff member or above then it will be taken as if it was on the modlog)

What happens if you cannot make 30 posts in 2 weeks:
You have two choices

1) You can take up to an additional 10 days to make additional posts - you will not need to take the entire additional period and can request payment once you have enough posts (or as many posts as you want). You must keep the signature up until you receive payment
2) You can receive payment at a rate of .001 BTC per post (.0008 BTC for full members), minus 5 posts paying up to the maximum payment above. If you take option 1 above, you can still chose this option based on the number of posts you have made as of the date you request payment (or the date the 10 days is up, whichever is sooner). For example if you make a total of 20 posts then I will pay you for 15 posts at a rate of .001 BTC per post (.0008 BTC for full members); this results in you not loosing out 100% if you do not have time to make enough posts. If you have orange/red trust then the per post rate is 60% of the above.

What happens if I decide to end the campaign early:
I will pay everyone as per option 2 above but will add 5 posts indeed of subtracting 5 posts, up to the maximum rate above. For example if I decide to end the campaign early and you have made 20 posts then I will pay you for 25, on the other hand if you have made 28 posts I will pay you .029 if you are a senior member (or .03 for a hero/legendary or .024 for a full member). You cannot make more then the maximum rates at the top of this post (however if you do make substantially more posts then required and the campaign is successful in creating additional sales then I may pay a bonus).

Signature BB code designers: I am thinking about starting a small signature campaign promoting my sales thread, which can be found here. My problem is that I do not have a signature to have potential participants "wear". This is where you come in! I am willing to offer a .08 BTC bounty for a set of signatures that I will own the exclusive right to use (and potentially reuse/sell). I am looking to use potentially two themes, which means I can potentially select two winners (or if one person creates two sets that I like then one person can win the bounty twice). Note that I may choose to buy only one theme if I feel that will be desirable. I may increase the bounty if I decide this is what the market warrants, and if I receive an exceptionally good design then I may decide to pay more then .05 BTC. I need signatures for the following rankings: Full Member Senior Member Hero Legendary My first theme will be around the fact that people with Red/negative trust cannot generally participate in signature campaigns. I am interested in something alongs the lines of it saying: "have negative trust, buy an account to participate in a signature campaign". If I decide to go this route then my campaign will be geared to people who have negative trust, so you can incorporate that as well. You can use your creativity. My second theme will revolve around the fact that you can earn a decent income from participating in a pay per post signature campaign. Do not mention specific rates, nor specific campaigns, but rather the general fact that a good income can be made from pay per post campaigns. You can mention the fact that participants can receive a 10% discount by mentioning the signature advertisement. You can also include the fact that you can buy a senior account for .4 BTC by mentioning the signature ad (please do not mention both, only include the discount or the special price - also please design the BB code so that both the percentage discount and the price can be easily changed if I decide to do so). Both themes should link back to my sales thread (the link is at the top of this post). Both themes should include my username (as well as a link to send me a PM). Please note that I have noticed that several of my competitors have taken major points from my sales thread OP (and my bumps) and incorporated such information in their own threads. As a result I would recommend against posting the actual BB code as a reply, but to rather post a screen shot of what each signature will look like (if you need help with this then send me a PM and I will be happy to help). If you do post the BB code, or use the BB code in your submission post and someone else steals it, then that is not my responsibility. If the links contained in the list of factoids were not paid for by someone then it might be a good idea to remove them, or at the very least periodically check to make sure the site/thread that the link points to is still 'open for business'/the offer is still valid. One example is the Code: Zero-risk guaranteed Loan. An "incredible" :D 1.5% a month factoid. It points to this thread which was created in September 2012, is locked and the OP has not logged in for months. The thread mentions that the thread is locked and to PM him to take him up on his offer, however the fact that he has not logged in since June 2014 would lead me to believe that he is no longer borrowing money via this offer. So I figured that I will try to dip my feet into lending a little bit. I am willing to offer collateral loans with no set limit as to how much I will be willing to lend. I generally will deny your loan if you are asking to borrow less then 0.10 BTC. For collateral loans under 4 weeks I will generally charge 2% per week. For larger and/or longer term loans I may be more flexible in regards to the interest rate. In the very rare cases in which I make a no-collateral loan, the interest rate is negotiable. Suspected account: chalidore Over the past few months I was contacted on two occasions looking for both an account on default trust and an account with positive/green trust (with trust being several months old) by the same person. I suspect the person was wanting to use the default trust account to give credibility to other sockpuppet accounts. Yesterday Stunna opened up a scam accusation against RandyFolds because he thinks he is using a purchased account with positive trust to create a casino that is a likely scam. Prior to a few weeks ago the RandyFolds account was not used in roughly a year. The RandyFolds account was likely purchased on or about 28/9/14 as this is when it first posted after not posting for a year. Today the chalidore account gives both Stunna and Eisenhower34 who had both given RandyFolds negative trust because of the accusation because of "trust abuse" and "trash talking" about a site that he is invested in. He also gave positive trust to the RandyFolds account. I suspect the negative trust is to pressure Stunna and Eisehower34 to remove the negative trust and the positive trust for the chalidore was to give it undue credibility. The positive trust given to RandyFolds by chalidore claims to have invested 340 BTC in the site. On 1/10/14 RandyFolds opened a self moderated thread asking for beta testers. chalidore responded on 1/10/14 saying that he is interested. It had previously only posted 83 posts, mainly in the mining subforum (except for his first few posts in the beginners subforum). chalidore is on default trust because CanaryInTheMinetrusts him (I do not believe CanaryInTheMine is involved in this scam) likely from a group by from a long time ago. It is my firm belief that account trading should be allowed however I do not agree with this kind of activity and believe this kind of activity will lead to the banning of account trading.
