Sometimes I do wonder what is the need for reproduction when there are so many kids suffering out there for survival, many are ophans, some have parents but their parents couldn't afford to take adequate care of them due to poverty and some are just helpless roaming round the streets without anyone to help them. It is really necessary to reproduce? instead of adopting some of this helpless children and take good care of them and make them to understand that life is not that difficult as they feel because most of this children grow up with the mentality that the society is unkind to them, they become unhappy and feel so inferior of themselves while growing up, some have mental issues due to the unfortunate situations they have found themselves.

 Is there a way to help this children grow and become better persons in the future instead of bringing more children to this world.

 It has got to my knowledge that so many users more especially newbies and low ranked don't go through the META BOARD simply because they feel that the information convened there are only relevant to high ranked members and they feel that they don't have much contributions to the discussions there but this is a very wrong narrative because the META BOARD stands as an information desk of the forum and should be visited on regular basis to get acquainted with recent and relevant information about the forum.

Just like on the April fool's day when Theymos played a hard prank on us about the Adjustments to Merit calculation whereby when you spend more time reading, your merit increases but when you make a post it decreases. I was actually online that faithful day when Theymos initiated it and I was reading some posts in the forum so I was about checking a previous reply I made then I checked my profile only to see that my merit has increased, I immediately checked my merit statistics to know who sent me merit but I didn't see anything, I kept refreshing my browser to know if it was a network issue but to no avail and it felt very strange to me, i immediately went to the META BOARD only to discover that it was Theymos, i laughed so hard.

Let me not make this thread too voluminous but the advice am trynna give is that we should always make sure that we visit the META BOARD always so that we don't get misinformed about the forum and again the META BOARD contains statistical data of almost everything about the forum and it is being updated regularly so checking the META BOARD regularly will also make you to be up-to-date about any information in the forum more especially for newbies.

The federal government of Nigeria through the just appointed Director General, Securities and Exchange Commission, Dr Emomotimi Agama, will on Monday reach an understanding between crypto related platforms operating in the country on the need for a regulation of their operations within the country.

We all are not happy about how the government have been going about trying to make things difficult for crypto Enthusiasts in the country more especially with the recent developments of clamping down exchanges and even restricting some banking platforms not to allow their customers to make crypto operations on their platforms and they have even placed some prohibition policies already of freezing accounts of defaulters.

But let us also have a closer look of how this whole scenario is going about, normally it is illegal for any platform be it crypto or non crypto related to operate in a country without necessary documentation and authorization with some regulatory policies that will guide their operations so on my own view, regulating crypto activities will even give us more confidence to deal with cryptocurrency without always being afraid of the government decisions all the time.

I know that the aim of creating cryptocurrency more especially Bitcoin is to stand as a decentralized medium of making monetary transactions using digital system that will not employ the service of the government and other third parties but for now, since crypto adoption have not yet been globally accepted, let us dance to the tune of the government till when we have solidly gained ground in the crypto industry.

Just some hours ago I tried to open a thread and an error message popped up showing that the topic is off limits to me then i begin to imagine if are there topics that are really off limit to a rank or is it from my browser? But if some topics are off limits to low rank members then what could possibly be the contents that such topic contains that a lower member cannot be able to access it.

Satoshi's last message before his disappearance was that he has 'moved on to other things'. Now my question is this, if actually Satoshi Nakamoto saw a good vision of what Bitcoin will turn out to be in the future, why then did he decided to move on to other things instead of focusing more on the Bitcoin project to make sure that he also took part in achieving the adoption of this digital currency? So unfortunate Satoshi should have been the one to answer this question.

Sometimes I do reason that our government have been manipulating revenues that are generated by every parastatals in the country for so long now and they will just come out and be giving their own analysis even when they are inaccurate because they use these mediums to embezzle public generated funds and afterwhich they will come out to make baseless claims on how the revenues are being spent or distributed to equip social amenities and bring the dividends of democracy closer to the people when will all knew that they are mare fabrications and lies.

This forum have really helped a lot of users get exposed to different knowledge from different individuals of great intellectual in the forum, however it is not just only about going through the forum but making contributions in the vital sections of the forum can make a user gain more recognition.
I have come to understand that in this forum, there are sections meant for each ranks in the forum though not limited for any rank to partake in but however, it is necessary for users to understand the sections they are to navigate through, more especially the newbies like us before we are familiarized with some other sensitive sections of the forum.

As a beginner in the forum, the best sections to always engage in are:
(1) BEGINNER & HELP SESSION : this sections usually helps newbies to understand the basic knowledge they need and to also get help from experienced users in the forum when the need arises. This sections makes beginners become more engaged in some discussions here and also widens their knowledge about the forum so constantly going through the beginners and help sections can make a new user become more visible in the forum.

(2) POLITICS AND SOCIETY: this section is basically about discussion of things that are happening in the world as pertaining to world politics and some discussion of things happening generally in the world so engaging in conversation in this section can also make you visible because it is believed that you are updated about things happening around the world.

(3) ECONOMY - This is also one of the most vital sections of the forum because it is also concerned about discussion concerning the economy of the world entirely because the economy is what sustains a country and also makes a country experience immense growth and development although it is dependent on how such a country handles their economy that will make them to rise or to fall. This section is very good to channel one's discussion in the forum because other users will be interested to gain knowledge from you if you have some economic knowledge and possibly ideas to help in a situation of bad economy.

Furthermore, I would have loved to include the Bitcoin discussion section because some newbies here literally have some knowledge about Bitcoin before they registered here in the forum but I found out that sometimes, engaging in discussion about Bitcoin seems like one have gotten a previous knowledge about the forum and therefore some users might misinterpret it as an alt account.

Some sections I feel it's not too good for a newbie to engage in discussion are: The reputation board, Loan section, Meta, development and technical discussion, scam accusation and project development. It is assumed that users who get involved in these sections are rooted in the forum and has spent so many years in the forum and have experience about the discussions in those sections so a newbie getting involved in those sections literally makes them look naive and that account looking suspicious as an alt.

 Many people wishes to get an asset when they start making it in life but as soon as such opportunity comes up they begin to live frivolous lifestyle and saying that they are still young as they can still meet up their target anytime without knowing that time flies and an opportunity that one may miss in life can take longer time to get again.

I've been longing to Open my dream business for a very long time now, my dad is an influencial politician in my state. He has companies and some businesses and I've been pestering him to assist me with some funds to start my dream business of having my Own Bar but he never gave me a listening ear. Just on January 2 2024, He sent me #2,000,000 in my local currency which is about ($1560 currently in dollars and 0.037347 in BTC) to start up my dream business.

Edit: after much deliberation and suggestions from responsible members that gave their individual opinion to me here, I have therefore retorted to use TRC 20-USTD and BNB for payment hence, I've removed my initial wallet address i made available earlier as my intended payments method but however, I'm optimistic to use bitcoin as a payment method for my business in the future when transaction fees will definitely reduce to a considerate price and probably no congestion in the mempool.

I've got to find out that there are some profiles that have received whole lots of merits but some of those profiles don't circulate their sendable merits to others profiles thereby allowing the sendable merits to decay and become worthless. The reason for sendable merits is for a user to send to other profiles in which they find their posts of good qualities and of Meritable standards but I wonder why some users choose to hoard this sendable merits and allowing it to vanish with time.
Is it a good habit to allow one's sendable merits to decay?

There have been some good and quality posts that I've come across why navigating through the forum and I found out that some of the users have been inactive for a very long time but the posts they've made deserved merit, so is it advisable to merit the post(s) of a user(s) that have been inactive for a long interval of time considering the fact that they made Meritable posts?

Last week, an old friend of mine back then in the university in 2013 who later traveled to Canada to further his studies returned back to the country and yesterday, he coincidentally met my mum at a shopping mall and requested for my contact and my mom gave my number to him so he called and called the nickname that we both normally call ourselves back then in the university days I was so shocked to hear that and I called his original name and he answered and told me he is back from Canada and he requested we meet at a bar immediately.

We exchanged pleasantries and started discussing about life and I told him how life have been so uneasy but that I got a job in a factory were am paid $60 for about 2 years now and i told him that my colleague at work introduced me to a forum called bitcointalk where i registered on the forum and learnt a lot of things concerning Bitcoin and i also showed him the amount of bitcoins i have stored in my wallet so far and he became curious to know about bitcoin and i explained everything i know about bitcoin and encouraged him to join me in buying and holdling bitcoin that we are awaiting the bull market after the halving so he became so furious and told me that since he knew me that I don't normally give attention to anything online (internet) but for me to hodl such huge amount of Bitcoins that it means am really serious about it so he became interested and ask me how he can buy Bitcoin as well so I told him step by step on how to buy Bitcoin and he bought Bitcoins worth $520 that is about 0.012194 btc so he told me that he wish to acquire 1 btc so I told him not to worry that he will use the DCA method to buy same amount of bitcoins at different interval then with time he will surely acquire the 1 btc.
My question now is that is it wise that I showed him the amount of Bitcoins I have accumulated before he developed interest?

As a beginner, I bought Bitcoins few days ago when the price was $43,943 with the hope that since the price has been increasing rapidly, that it will continue to increase but now that the price is dipping I now found out that the Bitcoins in my wallet is also going down.

So my question is that can't it be possible for someone to buy bitcoins and hodl it at a specific price such that even if the price dips it won't affect the Bitcoins you have hodl in your wallet?
