Sometimes I do reason that our government have been manipulating revenues that are generated by every parastatals in the country for so long now and they will just come out and be giving their own analysis even when they are inaccurate because they use these mediums to embezzle public generated funds and afterwhich they will come out to make baseless claims on how the revenues are being spent or distributed to equip social amenities and bring the dividends of democracy closer to the people when will all knew that they are mare fabrications and lies.

Don't you think that introducing the Blockchain Technology or something similar will make government become more transparent since the revenues that are generated and it's expenditures will be visible to all in the Blockchain? Let's discuss

It's as more obvious as you described the scenarios of the government possible means of fabricating stories for public fund embezzlements.

But anyhow, if the block chain was adopted, the government Will always be authoritative to govern the system and believe it Op that they'd always find means of making away and still gives those unrealistic accounts about projects being spent those public funds on.
This is just on like giving a mere account for implemented and executed projects so, they can as much manipulate the system on same drastic accounts of giving false executed analysis.
Let's just consider that as the power of the government supersedes the masses in Naija, so as much they're not answerable to the samed masses.

Currupt Government Like Nigeria will never want such thing. As a matter of fact, that is the more reason why the currupt leaders in power don't like cryptocurrency because blockchain technology will never allow them to do what pleases them.  Although it would have been the best option but trust Nigerians they will prefer to use centralised financial system where everything is controlled by some group of people. Nigeria government is a currupt government they know all this things and how effective it will be on them, that is why they don't want it to come any closer. It can only be possible if we have new system of leadership expecially the youths with enthusiasm of crypto currency. This youth will be the one to enlighten more people on blockchain ⛓️ technology. And enforce or mandate it to the masses just like they enforce us to register Nin and  registration of Sim card before Use. When it becomes a mandate people will have no option than to use it as an option.

The government are corrupt and this is not just in Nigeria all over the world and no government will ever want this and that's why they are always against Bitcoin because it's decentralized and they can't control it.

Government will always want to have control of everything in the country, so that they can manipulate anything in their Favour and this is what we do see in the devaluation of our naira. Though they may always support blockchain projects but if it will be use for transparency against them they will be kick against it because of their manipulative schemes

I will tell you the truth the government can never be transparent whether blockchain technology is to be adopted or not. Our government has been into the technology sector for long and there have been some budget and allocations that were made from the federal system to enhance or equip local areas who are not fully aware of this technology and also the youths who are willing to learn or join the train would be employed into the sector. All these promises were made to the public but what happened in the end, still the same embezzlement of funds.

I can remember vividly of a place in River state they were to build infrastructure that would employ over 1000 to 2000 River state citizens but up till today the project and funds for it was stolen by the state government. The worst case is for the government to be involved in cryptocurrency; we all have seen their fight against it from the start.

If the government get holds of the blockchain technology and decides to adopt it, the transparency aspect of it will be checked into and manipulated into a way it will only benefit them and cannot be traced by any other person. Some countries already have regulations in place on cryptocurrency and I haven’t seen their citizens putting them into account for not been transparent in such actions. The truth is that you can’t fight the government and what will not be of benefit to them will not even be condole by them.

Loopholes dey for everything, our politicians go still find way run their things wey we still no go know wetin dey sup. Dem fit still do am without caring if we dey aware or not, for an example, Bitcoin transaction are opened to everybody to see but when things like mixers comes in it make it difficult to be able to monitor where a Bitcoin transaction is heading, na the same thing them go do for any other thing wey you dey think of. Well this your question of transparency I will liken it to the saying of our people that if you like bathe a pig that don't stop it of going into a dirty or even feed on dirty things. The problem is not Blockchain but human and the harden of heart to do evil , the mentality to which we operate as nation lacking some level of integrity,  but mostly believe on extravagant and fame can't allow the process to functioning. Another thing is the ethnicity and religion because even when illegality is observed if the process is to work will still hinder transparency to take place, we as nation must eliminate first ethnicity and religion and focus on integrity and rewarding good work and dignity when this is dominant such thing can level up any reminant left as impunity as the people mindset is already changed.

In a normal sense what is the work of a government? Is it not to serve the people with honesty, even in the national pledge everything written there is about serving the country and not to embezzle public funds as most politicians are doing now after all they are paid salaries, if government activities were to be strictly checked do you think that many people will be interested in government again? Not at all because it is obvious that majority of those that are hungry for power just do so at their selfish interests that is why they spend so much money during elections with the hope that they would recover them when they are elected into office.

The government will fight this blockchain technology to stupor for it not to be adopted because of the corruption, African is faced with leaders that are not transparent, leaders that input any figures the like without being questioned for any reason, have ever seen a current president in Nigeria probing his predecessor directly, I think it has not happen here, so one thing I want you to know is this, anything that conots with transparency is not welcomed here because the mindset of many elected leaders is to go and loot for their family ordinarily block chain technology would have been a good inovation if it been allowed to scale through here in Nigeria, we have really suffered in the hands of our leader so much, I want you to understand something today that state generated revenue are not accounted for because the governors of various states feel that the money is a personal money and thats where they make all their money, they pronounce any figure the like in the public and keep the major funds to themselves, i will support the process but am scared if the process itself will see the light of the day, our lawakers alone will misprioritized the bill on ariaval.
