ICO details and token distribution
We will create 1.000.000 tokens which will constitute 100% of PayTaler’s assets. They will be distributed as follows:
- 95.000 tokens will be sold in the course of the crowdsale which starts on December 12 and ends on March 1. 5.000 more tokens are reserved for bounties.
- ICO will commence in several consecutive rounds. 95.000 tokens will be sold every year for the next four years, raising the number of community-owned tokens to 480.000. This system will provide the project with required momentum and protect the token from inflation.
- 510.000 tokens (representing ownership of the company) will remain in Paytaler’s custody indefinitely to never be sold to a third party. They may only change hands as the project itself is being sold. These tokens will be initially frozen in a smart contract for at least 5 years.
- The remaining 10.000 tokens will be distributed among PayTaler’s team members one month after the ICO ends.


Incentives
Investors who supported the project during the ICO will biannually receive 10% of the project’s net income as dividends.To be eligible for dividends investors will have to move their tokens to their PayTaler personal account. In the future the team also plans to add services which will be paid for with tokens. For example integrating custom altcoins into PayTaler’s framework or using the service without commission.

As PayTaler is an established and fully functional product and investors can already see what the project has to offer, we decided to eschew traditional escrow arrangements.

Ethereum Foundation во главе с Виталиком Бутерином пошли на спасение фондов the DAO в пользу инвесторов. Однако, последние будут иметь возможность только вывести средства — похоже, the DAO пришел конец.

Как сообщил Бутерин в записи на блоге проекта, устранение последствий атаки потребует сначала софтфорка, а потом и хардфорка сети Ethereum:

«Сообщество разработчиков предлагает софтфорк, (без отката; ни одна транзакция или блоки не будут «аннулированы»), который сделает так, что любые транзакции, использующие команды call/callcode/delegatecall и исполняющие код с хэшем 0x7278d050619a624f84f51987149ddb439cdaadfba5966f7cfaea7ad44340a4ba (т.е. The DAO и дочерние ДАО) приведут к недействительности транзакции (не только команды, но и транзакции), начиная с блока номер 176000 (точный номер блока, с которого изменения вступят в силу до момента выпуска кода), предотвращая возможность вывода эфиров после 27-дневного окна. После этого будет осуществлен хардфорк, который позволит держателям токенов забрать свои эфиры», — разъяснил ситуацию Бутерин.

Основатель агентства KUNA и одноименной биржи криптовалют Михаил Чобанян отказался от планов по внесению в Верховную Раду законопроекта по регулированию криптовалют в Украине.

«Крипта полностью легальна. Пользуйтесь на здоровье. Что касается юрлиц, то тут особо нет смысла что-то для них делать. Даже если мы примем самые либеральные законы в отношении виртуальных валют, я очень сомневаюсь, что кто-то будет открывать компании в Украине. Остальные 147 налогов и валютное регулирование никто не отменял. Про беспредел карательных органов (МВД, ДФС, СБУ, Прокуратура, суд) я вообще молчу. Я бы оставил всё, как есть, это идеальный для данного момента формат», — рассказал Чобанян редакции ForkLog.

German Executives Mostly Believe in Niche Applications of Cryptocurrency

According to a survey carried out in July by Bitkom, a German association for IT, only a few top managers in local finance believe bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency will ever gain any wider adoption as compared to current stance.
The survey’s results read that among 77 chief executive officers only 2% think that cryptocurrency will become a common method for payments, with 3% of hem thinking that in ten years’ time cryptocurrency will vanish.
However, the rest of those surveyed, which spans for 95%, think that bitcoin will neither go mainstream, nor disappear, but will eventually find its place in the broader economy and finance.
Those results come in contrast with findings of another survey carried out with German regular customers. 36 per cent of them stated they were at least interested in dealing with bitcoin, while 53 percent of a younger generation, i.e. those aged 14 to 29, stated their interest therein.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, local bitcoin company Bitcoin Group seeking to be listed on the ASX, has to release yet another supplementary prospectus, which is a third in a row, and withhold its listing until January. This delay is caused by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, which so far has relased two stop orders on the company’s previous efforts to float.

Troubles with the second listing attempt are related to the fact that local rules require a company to return all the money it has raised so far, should the listing occurs more than three months later than the prospectus is lodged. Bitcoin Group’s second prospectus stated the listing date was on January 6, which is evidently more than 3 months as of its lodgind with the ASIC, which had occured on September 4.

Alexei Savatyugin, former deputy minister for finance of Russia called cryptocurrency the biggest financial and economic breakthrough in last fifty years. He stated that in an interview to publication The Banker. In addition, he noted that there were not many revolutions of that kind in the history of the civilization.

According to Savatyugin, banning Bitcoin in Russia would result only in freezing yet another market. Non-acceptance of cryptocurrency, to his reckoning, is related exclusively to the regulator’s reluctance to puzzle out what bitcoin and the blockchain are, how they work, and how it could regulate the innovative phenomena.

Recently it was announced that a multifunctional economic Ethereum-based platform dubbed Elephant (7elephant.org/en)  is about to be launched. The platform includes a set of financial and investment tools. It incorporates 12 internal projects oriented towards various user groups. Elephant’s native settlement token is called elCoin, which allows for smart contracts and colored coins, which is an integral part of the platform’s financial toolkit.

According to the project’s founders, they managed to attract roughly $5 million investment in the course of a closed funding round within two weeks’ time. Currently, some technical nuances in the project’s regard remain undisclosed, however, the developers are set to present 12 projects on the platform during the next 12 months.

One of Elephant’s key features is an integrated visual constructor for smart contracts, which is expected to facilitate creation of several financial tools. Smart contracts provide for creation of native digital assets like obligations or warrants. Thus, users will be able to release their own tokens and automatize their operation – for instance, by setting dividend payment algorithms or arranging other activities as they fall due.
“Our strategic goal is to build a digital Wall Street with minimum entrance threshold for investors. It is proved by increasing customer demand, while technologies underlying Ethereum allow for maximum facilitation and liberation of mass access to finance,” Elephant creators say.
ElCoins are issued via combination of PoS and PoT in order to control risks of inflation and deflation models of economy.

PoT stands for proof of transaction, being an automatized auction launching subsequent to the public release of the network. The draw is set for every 100,001st transaction, with revenue amount of up to 200 elCoins. Participating will be the wallets producing the latest ten transaction as of 99,991st to 100,000th transactions. The revenue will go to the wallet with the biggest outgoing transaction amount. The project’s founders call it “intelligent issuance”, and promise to provide more details in the project’s white paper to be issued in a short while.

Twelve Elephant tools include products like Private Exchange Business-Box, elExchange, elMerchant payment system, and certifying system dubbed elLicense.
Private Exchange Business-Box is set to provide liquidity of elCoins, and is actually a commercial out-of-the-box web app. The tool includes technical, marketing, and, last but not least, legal support for users. It is set to cover issues of free converting elCoins to the most popular fiat and crypto currencies.

The creators hope that elCoin will be available for free exchange in more than 60 nations due to its trans-border essence. After the project’s launch, elCoins will be distributed only via a network of dedicated exchanges across the globe.
Exchange service dubbed elExchange will provide full-fledged functionality for trading colored coins and smart contracts, which shall represent digital values and liabilities of counterparties.

Merchants might find the payment system dubbed elMerchant, which maintains interaction between sellers and buyers. The tool allows for trading operation with fiat-denominated goods immediately for converting elCoins into the final currency of the deal. This might speed up the process of sales without any legal issues involved, as it is especially important for countries where cryptocurrencies are banned or ambiguous in terms of regulation. Additional tools for elMerchant include a surrounding ecosystem of mobile hardware elGadget which are to provide easy and simple handling for elCoins in everyday life.

На данный момент некоторые технические детали проекта остаются не раскрытыми, однако в течение ближайших 12 месяцев разработчики планируют представить 12 проектов в рамках платформы.

Одна из ключевых особенностей Elephant — интегрированный визуальный конструктор для работы с умными контрактами. По замыслу разработчиков, конструктор позволит с легкостью создавать ряд финансовых инструментов. Умные контракты обеспечат возможность создания собственных цифровых активов, к примеру облигаций или опционов. Таким образом пользователи смогут не только выпустить собственные токены, но и автоматизировать работу с ними, к примеру, задать алгоритмы выплаты дивидендов или осуществления иных действий по факту наступления определенных событий.

Эмиссия расчетнх единиц elCoin осуществляется посредством комбинирования алгоритмов PoS и PoT с целью контроля рисков инфляционной и дефляционной экономических моделей.

Под PoT подразумевается Proof of Transaction — автоматический аукцион, стартующий после публичного запуска сети. Розыгрыш будет происходить каждую 100 001 транзакцию, а сумма вознаграждения составит 200 elCoin. Участниками аукциона станут кошельки, которые произвели последние 10 транзакций начиная с 99 991 до 100 000 транзакции. Вознаграждение будет получать кошелек с наибольшей суммой исходящей транзакции. Основатели проекта называют это интеллектуальной эмиссией, детали которой будут раскрыты чуть позже в whitepaper проекта.

Среди 12-ти инструментов в рамках Elephant будут доступны такие продукты как Private Exchange Business-Box, биржа elExchange, платежна система elMerchant и система аттестации elLicense.

Продукт Private Exchange Business-Box ориентирован на обеспечение ликвидности токенов elCoin и является коммерческим продуктом из коробки в виде web-приложения. Инструмент включает в себя техническую, маркетинговую и, что еще важнее — юридическую поддержку пользователей. Private Exchange Business-Box решает задачи свободной конвертации токенов elCoin в наиболее популярные фиатные и крипто-валюты.
