1  Bitcoin / Mining / Complete list of Built/Tested/Shipping ASIC/FPGA Miner Products on: November 13, 2011, 04:21:19 AM
This thread has been superseded by the product comparison table on BitcoinFPGA
----

Right now there are three:

FPGA development board "Icarus" for mining
X6500 Custom FPGA Miner
ZTEX USB-FPGA Module 1.15x: 190 MH/s FPGA Board now on stock

I'll be keeping this thread up-to-date as new products launch. By "launch" I mean
fully built/tested/working, in stock, and available for sale to the general public with
immediate shipment. Preferably with 1 or more positive reviews here on the forum.

The list is sorted from highest to lowest MH/$, in qty 1. That seemed like the
most useful ordering method for most people.

History:
2011-12-20: Added Icarus
2011-12-12: Added X6500
2011-11-13: Added ztex

2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Ultra-Low-Cost DIY FPGA Miner - 175MH/s @ $1/MH on: September 20, 2011, 05:28:19 PM
Skillet-reflowed and ultra cheap. No need to pay $500+ for an eval board or $50+ per chip to an assembly house;
high performance FPGAs can be soldered at home in 5 minutes with some flux and a $20 skillet. Grin

It's a xc6slx25 on there now to validate the PCB + asm process; building xc6slx150 soon.

3  Other / Beginners & Help / Auto-updates? on: August 13, 2011, 10:21:13 PM
Why doesn't the bitcoin SW include an auto-updater, or at least an auto-notifier? If it ever gets hacked, there are going to be vulnerable versions in the wild for weeks/months...
