161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Buying ZCoin: Yes or No? on: November 10, 2016, 04:26:26 PM
Zcoin is not Zcash btw, different coins. Zcoin is not on poloniex yet, apparently it solves the problems that Zcash has with good compromises in the anonimity. What do you think? is this the next "get rich overnight" coin or is it going to get dumped hard as soon as it hits poloniex? we'll see.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Will ZCash Classic pump? on: November 07, 2016, 04:52:19 PM
So the ZEC party is over, everything is looking boring again (except bitcoin). But we want more bitcoin, so... what the hell do we do?

Im looking at ZCash Classic. Do you think it will pump hard? ETC sure pumped big time.
163  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / How will Bitcoin 1.0 look like? on: November 07, 2016, 04:19:28 PM
Ok this is more of an speculation thread but im curious what people here think... what will Bitcoin 1.0 look like technically wise, and in what year do you expect we will reach 1.0? We will probably be wrong about a lot of things but it's fun to speculate.

I would hope that by then we have solved how to take Bitcoin to the next level in terms of dumbing it down as much as possible for the snapchat generation, and also the older people is also able to use it just like a tablet. (of course all the nice complex options can be unlocked for the power user)

People shouldn't be bothered if something goes off or onchain, it just has to work.

Default settings should be as private as possible for everyone, obfuscating amounts and ideally transactions "mixed" by default. People should not be bothered with coin control, selecting fees etc.

Sidechains are common and every relevant business has its own.

I don't know what else to say.
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Going all in on a Hillary win bet on: November 03, 2016, 05:30:39 PM
Anyone else has the courage to go all in on Hillary? By all in I mean betting ALL of your bitcoins for a win.

There's some people that's doing this. They are literally going bet all of their bitcoins because they are convinced the election is rigged and Trump cannot win, why not go all in then? Maybe this is a rare opportunity to make a lot of money. Im thinking about it but I don't think I have the balls.
165  Other / Meta / Big spam attack in the main section on: November 03, 2016, 05:12:07 PM
The bot that is usually on the speculation section (and sometimes on the mining section) spamming tons of FUD, is now spamming on the main section at full force, I have seen up to 6 messages at once. Message contains this:

China central bank put a new sales restriction (limit/stop fiat from depositing into bitcoin trading companies bank accounts) on Chinese bitcoin exchangers (Okcoin, huobi etc..) to ensure the capital controls and stop money flow out of the country.

Bitcoin price lost over $50 (dropped even more in Chinese market) soon as the news are out.

Without Chinese pump money, bitcoin will soon drop back to sub $220. Party is over run as fast as you can. You have been warned.

Beware of those threads, don't reply on those, just report it.
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How to teach people to download software wallets? on: November 03, 2016, 04:51:27 PM
I keep seeing people that want to get started in bitcoin, asking "how do I buy bitcoins?" then they buy them, usually from Coinbase, or any other big sites like those, and they keep the coins there. It's like they don't make the effort to learn the fact that having coins outside of your local software wallet is very stupid. All those people are prone to suffer losses as websites come and go, and don't get me started on the people that keep their coins on all those shady exchanges.

How to avoid seeing this phenomena? it's like no matter how this is repeated, they never listen.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / So did anone here get rich from the ZCash pump? on: November 01, 2016, 12:26:09 PM
We thought Zcash was going to go way lower than 1 BTC, but right now it's sitting at 3+ BTC after 230%+ gains.

This means anyone that bought during the stable price during the last days of october has made 230%+ gains (and who knows how high this pump will go)

I admit I don't have the balls to get in.. who knows if this is a dead cat bounce-
168  Other / Meta / Bitcoin updated to 0.13.1 but forum still shows 0.13.0 as latest on: October 31, 2016, 11:57:38 AM
Im talking about the "News: Latest stable version of Bitcoin Core: 0.13.0  [Torrent]." bar above.

When will this get updated? A lot of people pay attention to that News section in the forum and they may think 0.13.1 is still not out (yeah it's hard if you browse reddit but believe it or not a lot of people don't). I think it's important to keep this up to date.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What the hell is going on with ZCash? on: October 30, 2016, 03:34:55 PM
Im looking at the Poloniex ZEC/BTC trade and 1 ZEC is worth 1.19 BTC... why? and the all time high was 3300+ BTC per ZEC? I mean that's nonsense. Who would buy this thing?

I have concluded that ZCoin is trash since you have to trust the devs into deleting the masterkey, I have no idea what ZCash is all about to be honest.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Almost all alts on the red due bitcoin uprise on: October 29, 2016, 03:24:36 PM
Bitcoin on its way to destroy the last ATH. We will test 778 again, then we will go straight for 1200+. Alts are going to go deep in the red for a long time now in my book with the exceptional big pump and dumps that can always happen on any random coin.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin accepted in over 10.000 Swiss locations on: October 29, 2016, 02:03:36 PM
https://www.sbb.ch/en/station-services/services/further-services/bitcoin.html

Did anyone see those news? I didn't see a thread here so im making it. It's pretty huge news, I think it went low on the radar because everyone is talking about 0.13.1 release and segwit, but this is also important. The fees are very low and you can go there with bitcoins in your pocket and enjoy shopping pretty much anywhere. What a nice country, too bad im too poor to be able to live there.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / SolarCity + Bitcoin mining on: October 29, 2016, 01:54:17 PM
Recently Elon Musk introduced a new design for solar panels that look like normal ceiling so you don't get the ugly looking regular panel look in your house. I think this will make people more prone to install solar panels on their houses. With this, we may see an increase in Bitcoin mining in a passive way. One house is nothing, but millions of houses mining would make a change.

The only problem i see is that apparently from the air (helicopter view) you can spot that they are solar panels, so this can make governments sanction those who install solar panels without telling the state that you did so. I really hate those fuckers. I wish we can reach a point where solar panels are impossible to tell from regular ceiling even from air distance too, then the total decentralization of electricity will begin since people will not be scared to get caught.

For now we have this

173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Any coins worth gambling some BTC at? on: October 22, 2016, 11:48:50 PM
Im looking to make some quick gains. Any new cashcow like the last ETC pump? that was good. Zcash will pump hard? there's a lot of people talking about it. Im considering buying some but I fear as soon as it hits Polo its going to crash hard.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The importance of Bitcoin will not be felt by the mainstream until governments.. on: October 20, 2016, 02:42:35 PM
get rid of cash.

Once governments finish their ban-on-cash global plan, and there's no escape from pinpoint governmental control, we better hope we have a strong, solid, decentralized-node Bitcoin, with nodes wide spread all across the globe, or else it will be the end of financial freedom for ever. Bitcoin is our last hope.

By then, people will start to realize the importance of owning Bitcoin and knowing how to use it. The price of Bitcoin will sky rocket to several thousands to millions of dollars per coin, as bast amounts of wealth move within the ecosystem.
175  Economy / Speculation / Last correction before 700+ breakout on: October 19, 2016, 02:19:05 PM
Classic triangle pattern forming if you look back at the last big august correction. Then we had another correction, a weaker one, and now, another weaker one. Increasingly weaker corrections with an overall uprising price: breakout incoming. Last chance for the idiots still doubting to buy to get in now or never.
176  Economy / Speculation / It took only 11 days to go from 639 to 1148 last time on: October 13, 2016, 05:16:29 PM

Before you are thinking about selling, think twice. Bitcoin can pump insanely high since the marketcap is really small and it can potentially go to 100.000+ per coin long term, so 600 to 1000 is absolutely nothing.

The next months will be fun.
177  Economy / Gambling discussion / UFC206 betting thread: Daniel Cormier vs Anthony Johnson on: October 07, 2016, 10:33:31 PM
Huge fight this one. Daniel Cormier already won Anthony Johnson in a past UFC event, but this time Anthony Johnson is much better, experienced, and he has his brutal punching power.

DC is one of the biggest talents in MMA tho, so I think I will go with a second win.

We can think about bets until December 10th
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / How to know when a certain coin will get listed in an exchange after the ICO? on: October 04, 2016, 11:02:17 PM
For example, we have seen SingularDTV make an huge crash, then recovered at half the price. This could have been a good opportunity to get in really cheap.

When can we know when it will get listed? In this case it was in bittrex

https://www.bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-SNGLS

as you see, there was an opportunity to buy as low as 100...

I searched on the SingularDTV thread and they didn't say anything about it. They just add the coins randomly?
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Gambling music on: September 19, 2016, 03:14:01 PM
When you are on the mood to take some stupid high risks in gambles and you are filled with adrenaline waiting for the outcome that may make you rich or may make you broke, what is your favorite music to play? I like to play some motorhead, this is a great gambling song:

180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Can you trust projects that use Ethereum? on: September 11, 2016, 05:42:41 PM
I find a lot of projects that have ongoing ICOs like Augur, Golem, SingluarityDTV and all those projects that use Ethereum to be very interesting, the big problem is clear: you just can't trust Ethereum long term. So im not sure if I should own some of those. I think some of those will pump hard, so im thinking about it.
