Zcoin is not Zcash btw, different coins. Zcoin is not on poloniex yet, apparently it solves the problems that Zcash has with good compromises in the anonimity. What do you think? is this the next "get rich overnight" coin or is it going to get dumped hard as soon as it hits poloniex? we'll see.

Ok this is more of an speculation thread but im curious what people here think... what will Bitcoin 1.0 look like technically wise, and in what year do you expect we will reach 1.0? We will probably be wrong about a lot of things but it's fun to speculate.
I would hope that by then we have solved how to take Bitcoin to the next level in terms of dumbing it down as much as possible for the snapchat generation, and also the older people is also able to use it just like a tablet. (of course all the nice complex options can be unlocked for the power user)
People shouldn't be bothered if something goes off or onchain, it just has to work.
Default settings should be as private as possible for everyone, obfuscating amounts and ideally transactions "mixed" by default. People should not be bothered with coin control, selecting fees etc.
Sidechains are common and every relevant business has its own.
I don't know what else to say.

Anyone else has the courage to go all in on Hillary? By all in I mean betting ALL of your bitcoins for a win.
There's some people that's doing this. They are literally going bet all of their bitcoins because they are convinced the election is rigged and Trump cannot win, why not go all in then? Maybe this is a rare opportunity to make a lot of money. Im thinking about it but I don't think I have the balls.

The bot that is usually on the speculation section (and sometimes on the mining section) spamming tons of FUD, is now spamming on the main section at full force, I have seen up to 6 messages at once. Message contains this: Beware of those threads, don't reply on those, just report it. |

I keep seeing people that want to get started in bitcoin, asking "how do I buy bitcoins?" then they buy them, usually from Coinbase, or any other big sites like those, and they keep the coins there. It's like they don't make the effort to learn the fact that having coins outside of your local software wallet is very stupid. All those people are prone to suffer losses as websites come and go, and don't get me started on the people that keep their coins on all those shady exchanges.
How to avoid seeing this phenomena? it's like no matter how this is repeated, they never listen.

We thought Zcash was going to go way lower than 1 BTC, but right now it's sitting at 3+ BTC after 230%+ gains.
This means anyone that bought during the stable price during the last days of october has made 230%+ gains (and who knows how high this pump will go)
I admit I don't have the balls to get in.. who knows if this is a dead cat bounce-

When will this get updated? A lot of people pay attention to that News section in the forum and they may think 0.13.1 is still not out (yeah it's hard if you browse reddit but believe it or not a lot of people don't). I think it's important to keep this up to date.

Im looking at the Poloniex ZEC/BTC trade and 1 ZEC is worth 1.19 BTC... why? and the all time high was 3300+ BTC per ZEC? I mean that's nonsense. Who would buy this thing?
I have concluded that ZCoin is trash since you have to trust the devs into deleting the masterkey, I have no idea what ZCash is all about to be honest.

Bitcoin on its way to destroy the last ATH. We will test 778 again, then we will go straight for 1200+. Alts are going to go deep in the red for a long time now in my book with the exceptional big pump and dumps that can always happen on any random coin.

Recently Elon Musk introduced a new design for solar panels that look like normal ceiling so you don't get the ugly looking regular panel look in your house. I think this will make people more prone to install solar panels on their houses. With this, we may see an increase in Bitcoin mining in a passive way. One house is nothing, but millions of houses mining would make a change. The only problem i see is that apparently from the air (helicopter view) you can spot that they are solar panels, so this can make governments sanction those who install solar panels without telling the state that you did so. I really hate those fuckers. I wish we can reach a point where solar panels are impossible to tell from regular ceiling even from air distance too, then the total decentralization of electricity will begin since people will not be scared to get caught. Once governments finish their ban-on-cash global plan, and there's no escape from pinpoint governmental control, we better hope we have a strong, solid, decentralized-node Bitcoin, with nodes wide spread all across the globe, or else it will be the end of financial freedom for ever. Bitcoin is our last hope.
By then, people will start to realize the importance of owning Bitcoin and knowing how to use it. The price of Bitcoin will sky rocket to several thousands to millions of dollars per coin, as bast amounts of wealth move within the ecosystem.

 Before you are thinking about selling, think twice. Bitcoin can pump insanely high since the marketcap is really small and it can potentially go to 100.000+ per coin long term, so 600 to 1000 is absolutely nothing. The next months will be fun. |

For example, we have seen SingularDTV make an huge crash, then recovered at half the price. This could have been a good opportunity to get in really cheap. When can we know when it will get listed? I find a lot of projects that have ongoing ICOs like Augur, Golem, SingluarityDTV and all those projects that use Ethereum to be very interesting, the big problem is clear: you just can't trust Ethereum long term. So im not sure if I should own some of those. I think some of those will pump hard, so im thinking about it.
