1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Conflicted on: October 09, 2015, 04:02:29 AM
This's a first for me. I have two transactions that instead of showing confirmations it says these transactions are "Conflicted".

What on earth does that mean?

Thanks,
2  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Two Full Nodes, Same Router on: September 22, 2015, 12:56:27 AM
It appears that in order to run a full node port 8333 must be forwarded to that computer.  However, I have two computer on the same router and I would like to run two full nodes. My router won't allow me to forward 8333 to the second computer. What must I do to get that second node up?

I'm running Bitcoin Core version v0.11.0 (64-bit).

Thanks.
3  Economy / Service Discussion / Coinbase Slow on: March 09, 2014, 02:50:07 AM
Why do you suppose it took Coinbase around 3 hours to actually transfer my coins after they said they had? Normally its instantaneous.
4  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / RED FURY on: January 29, 2014, 03:50:12 AM
Just purchase a Red Fury off Ebay. It was advertised as new in the original packaging however this came with no packaging only bubble wrap.

Is there someone who has ordered these new that can tell me what to expect in the way of packaging?

Do I have a used item?
5  Bitcoin / Pools / BTC Guild - Accepted Shares on: September 24, 2013, 07:02:15 PM
I've been mining on BTC guild at around 2 GHash/s.  I notice I have many many more accepted shares than shares receiving payments. My payout has been around 0.01 in less than a day and I understand that's about average but doesn't explain what's going on.

Can someone clarify this?

Thanks.

How can received Bitcoins be from multiple addresses?
8  Economy / Marketplace / Blockchain Wallet on: September 21, 2012, 02:50:08 AM
Has anyone been having trouble with Blockchain wallet? I find that when I use it on the web, sometimes I can send Bitcoins, some times I can't and some times I get an error message that says the bitcoins have already been spent.

When trying to send it Bitcoins using my iPad wallet I always get that error message stating that the Bitcoins have already been spent.

I can't see where it could be a problem on my hand.
9  Economy / Marketplace / Feed Ze Birds on: September 06, 2012, 08:08:49 PM
Does anyone know of a problem with Feed Ze Birds. I created a campaign of a while back and funded it with Bitcins and a PayPal transfer. I have yet to see the campaign funded.

10  Other / Beginners & Help / Can Someone Explain? on: January 12, 2012, 06:59:21 PM

I made a 0.1 BTC transaction but when I view the transaction on http://blockchain.info/new-transactions I see it tied to another apparent transaction.  See below.

http://s739.photobucket.com/albums/xx35/plogank/?action=view&current=Transaction.jpg

Also, what are the addresses to the left.

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, I didn't know where to post it.

Thanks.
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Disappointed in Mt.Gox on: November 15, 2011, 10:16:11 PM
Mt.Gox says two business days to credit a deposit at a Chase bank.  It's Been over two days without the credit.  I made the deposit before all the activity and I wan't to take advantage of the low prices.  All I have on deposit with Mt.Gox right now are Bitcoins.  Grump...
12  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Number of Connections on: November 11, 2011, 03:53:21 AM
I've noticed that when I'm at home using a very fast IP, there are times I have up to 50 connections.  However, when I'm at the family ranch using Hugh's Satellite the most I ever have is 8.  It would seem then the client determines the speed and connects accordingly.

Is this correct or is something else going on?
13  Economy / Marketplace / Is Flexcoin Down on: November 11, 2011, 03:07:44 AM
Can't seem to bring up the web page.  Anyone know what's up?
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Kudos to MtGox on: October 28, 2011, 07:09:51 PM
I recently deposited $100 USD to a Chase Bank near home to be posted to my MtGox account.

MtGox made an error when they posted it to my account and posted $200 USD.  As soon as I saw the error I sent them the following email.

Yesterday I deposited $100 US in my local Chase bank. Today I find you
credited my account with $200. While the extra $100 would be nice to have, I
felt I had to let you know.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks,

I soon received the following email.

Hello Phil,

In gratitude for reporting this to us, please keep the extra $100. Thank you once again for your continued support to Mt.Gox.

Thanks,

MtGox.com Team

Is that great customer service or what?

15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Bitcoin Hosts on: October 21, 2011, 09:25:32 PM
When sites such as http://bitcoinstatus.rowit.co.uk/ speak of hosts, are they speaking of Bitcoin Wallets?  I notice that mine has 51 connections at the moment.  Somehow I've been under the impression this is the case.

Thanks.

17  Other / Beginners & Help / The Slashed Capital "B" Bitcon Symbol on: September 16, 2011, 05:14:36 AM
I see the Bitcoin symbol used in documents and I'm wondering how that's done.  Is there a way to obtain and use that symbol in a Word document for example?

Thanks.
18  Economy / Goods / Encourage A Potential New Murchant on: September 04, 2011, 01:00:31 AM
While visiting Eugene Oregon yesterday we found a gluten free bakery and delli that is relatively new. I chatted up Bitcoins with him and have since sent him some links.  I told him that using them might appeal to the university crowd because it's a geeky kind of thing.

His site is www.newdawnbakery.com and email is newdawnbakery@aol.com.

It would be great if you would email and encourage him.  Especially if you live in Eugene.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Securing My Bitcoin Wallet on: August 30, 2011, 05:31:44 PM
I sent a few Bitcoins to my wife's wallet.  I then encrypted my wallet with GPG and stored a copy in a secure location.

I then opened my Bitcoin client and of course a new empty wallet was made.  I then transferred the Bitcoins I stored on my wife's computer back to my wallet.  I did discover I now have a new address and the old one won't work.  I lost .001 Bitcoin testing but I'm guessing I'll get that back when I open my saved wallet.

This worked for me and I hope it'll help someone else.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Today's Downturn? on: August 27, 2011, 03:03:40 AM
Being new to trading, to what can we attribute the recent downturn?  The Bitcoin got down as low as $7.64 US today and now is up to $8.49.  All of this on MtGox Live.

Call me perplexed.  LOL
