41  Other / Off-topic / Where can I buy a computer with no TX card in 2014?????? on: January 01, 2015, 07:21:40 AM
Obviously its going to be so hard to find something with no wireless comms these days. But also I dont want to buy someones junk box off ebay. Ordering a computer from a stranger is rolling the dice.

I was looking at those pocket size desktops but nothing really caught my eye. Maybe I was on to the right track? It would be nice to have something running modern day OS that I could use as my air gap machine. Thanks

43  Bitcoin / Mining support / Why am I having to Reboot My s3's 2-20 times/day on: December 25, 2014, 11:52:37 PM
?

Its always random s3's I have 14 of them running. I ahve tried switching circuts, psu's. I dont know wtf this could be could it be beacuse I have so many switches coming off the router? Please advise this is very annoying I have to check my farm every 20 minutes.

Someone else says its not the router but I have a really inexpensive 4 port asus router with 2 antennas. One of the new ones but I think they discontinued it.

Someone on here said get a good switch but I dont know cisco..... Please advise I am going nuts.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / airgap wallet not totally safe? on: December 19, 2014, 06:42:03 AM
i read somewhere airgap can still be compromised? is this even thru. i would imagine if you removed all netqork cards and ir ports on old computermto create true airgap you would be safe? then anything you wanted to put on there would have to be usb then smelt the usb and never let it touch the network again...

seems secure to me outside of smelting the laptop itself after you make 1000's of btc addresses....

45  Bitcoin / Hardware / Please Help. S3 Hashing dropping for no reason??? on: December 17, 2014, 06:35:58 AM
Okay well I have 13 s3 running.

Randomly 1 2 3 etcc will just stop hasing down to like 50ghs or will half and run around 200-225ghs....

I have tried spreading them through different circuts, still have the same problem. This problem is geting very annoying and I have to cycle my setup once per day. Not fun for a mine I want to run auto pilot.

Please advise. I have an asus rt-n12 router. Could too many connections be possible? I am running 4 switches offf this router totalling 14 machines now.

I have also email bitmain. This is driving me crazy.

50  Bitcoin / Hardware / big mistake on electrical components order please help need cheapest fix on: December 11, 2014, 07:02:18 AM
made an error guys

so I ordered a bunch of nema 6-20 to c13 plugs for my psu's (- | )

turns out my dad hadd an error and it is actually a nema 6-15 plug (- -)

Now that i already have the plugs (and a power strip) for 6-20, i will need to either buy a series of convertes (which I cannot seem to find) or rma the cords and pay exchange fees etc.

Looking for a cost effective solution for my mine as this company isnt open atm so tracking down some conversion plugs for cheat or something would be nice :/

Can you enter the miner via serial control? you need one serial conversion USB to do it.
after you end the serial console, run below command to reset it to factory setting:
mtd -r erase rootfs_data"

thanks guys
52  Bitcoin / Hardware / please help. hope i didnt brick my s3......... :( on: December 10, 2014, 04:11:07 AM
Okay well I'm guessing this is an easy fix but everything i google has the word brick in it  Sad

basically my s3 wasnt hashing optimum (new unit just opened today)i ws showing like 63 gh?

so i pushed the reset button wait for light to go out and power down bring back up and now I am getting...

blininking red light on back on unit and no hashing.

I am able to see the unit on the network using the default ip .99

the network is also clear of any other device with .99

i have tried resetting the device a few times and am still getting the same result.

I have 10 more s3's and 1 c1 all hashing properly minus this unit. 12 units total,

help

53  Bitcoin / Hardware / USING 30amp DRYER pLUG and 6-20r connectors 240v help on: December 08, 2014, 03:44:06 AM
what is the easiest way to tie psu's that are 240 capable into these two types of plugs?

obv i will need multiple of any type of outlet you guys tell me i need because they can handle more amps. (power strip like setup also portable is great)

I need something that is easy. simple legal and up to code (I am in usa)

I am also a big fan of pre-wired stuff even if it costs a little more. I feel its safer at time. If there are multiple components I will need that the already sell I would rather goes this route as long as it is not small fortune.

56  Economy / Scam Accusations / 1and1 INTERNET SCAMMERS PLEASE READ PEOPLE on: November 25, 2014, 09:47:57 PM
Ok,

1and1 internet has now scammed not only me for my identity but also the debt collection agency that bought there debt..

here is how it works...

Free trial for 99 cents if cancel within 30 days or you pay X amount of dollars for full price if no cancel (usually between 20-40$/mo)

when you want to cancel by email you are told you have to call. When you call you are told you have to speak with billing. When you remain on hold for billing they never answer (have been on hold for hours and been hung up on meanwile im trying to board fkin planes n sh*t). Also have called many times and there "phone systems have been down" lol..

so they run up the debt on many people who "didnt cancel there trial" and then sell off the debt to agencies at a fraction. Once that happens they make off with that cash and your ID has now been greatly tarnished.

Do not deal with these idiots. I have began the process of doxing/destroying 1and1's reputation online and have contacted the authorities regarding Robert Hoffman the CEO and his business practices.

There are nearly 1k complaints on bbb.com to these people. I have to wonder how many have not came forward or doesn't even know and/or also care about having there identity and finances friviously tarnished.

Additionally I contacted the Tredyffrin Township Police Department as I have nothing to hide.... REporting there illegal activity. I will contact there local federal building if need be as most likely the police are protecting that business.

PA is a VERY poor and VERY corrupt state and typically businesses like this are very well protected because they give the area a few hundred jobs/year and possibly a few mil a year too.

Not anymore Robert Hoffman. You scam one of us you scam everyone... Looks like robert and his 1and1 scammers will be only taking website orders from old ladies now to make a website of there grandson.....

cya later robert have fun scamming old ladies for the rest of your life.... 1and1 shuttdown Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

p.s. if anyone else has intel on these guys or has also been a victim it would be cool to hear

edit**************

to all the haters... a great example of a company that does NOT scam there customers for free trial debt selloffs/collections would be ancestry.com they make it very clear and easy on there webpage to cancel... ez brreezzyy no ring around the rosey beat around the bush BFL bs
