141  Economy / Marketplace / Telegram API | What is missing here? on: January 12, 2017, 08:29:12 PM
Telegram has a decent API and this BotFather is hilarious (in the good meaning). I can recommend trying it for anyone even if only for the lulz. Nevertheless, even Telegram API cannot solve everything with one command so is there anything what you would like to see added as an example? What kind of Telegram bots would you love to see?

Vouches on this product:

I have seen this bot during it's development and I can say that it works just as promised. It also looks fairly nice (which might be an important thing to some people) and it is extremely fast and completely stable. I have nothing bad to say about this bot or it's staff/coders!

They have my vouch.  Grin

Thanks for all your hard work.
I am a very happy customer - 4 real Smiley

Description of the product:

Why would I need this bot?
Being active on more than one forum is a pain in the ass, to be honest.
With this bot, you could always bump your thread to the top without having to spend time on doing it yourself.

Is it even allowed?
Yes, it is 100% allowed according to the rules of Bitcointalk. The software automatically deletes old bumps and place the news according to the rules of the site.

How is it different than all the other autobump-bots?
Of course, it knows everything what other autobump-bots and it knows much more.

List of features:

- Autodeleting old bumps
- Placing new bumps
- Supporting custom bumps
- Custom bumping/deleting time-period
- Multi-threaded
- Takes privacy seriously: reads in cookies instead of plain password
- No need for PHP to be installed
- 100% from scratch, does not need other APIs
- Supports both current and next forum software
- Works with most of the other forums too
- ++

FAQ
In this section I am collecting useful information for customers based on questions of other customers

How to configure the bot safely? Based on the following feedback:

Hi.
I ran your bot and it delete my last post on my thread which was a reply to someone.

I am sorry for your loss :/ I feel glad because you could overcome it. I think, I will explain it here because it could come helpful to other customers too. The cleanest solution and recommended method is to create a new account on the forum that you use to BUMP ONLY. You will BUMP WITH YOUR NEW ACCOUNT and delete bumps of that account so you will not accidentally delete replies due to a wrong config. Also, it is a best practice that experienced sellers use too. Nevertheless, you can post the sales threads and replies that you want to keep with your original account.

How to use the autobump-bot for multiple threads? Based on the following feedback:

Also how would one use this to multi thread.

The bot supports multiple threads. To configure it for multiple threads, it is hilariously easy. Just create as many folders as many threads you would like to use it for and copy the files from the original autopost folder to each new folder then replace the URLs in each new folder's .txt with a thread's URL. The same goes for delete if you wish. Then do the steps in HowToSetPeriod.txt for each .exe copy to set it. In this way, you could set unique time periods for each thread and auto-deleting is optional as you may wish to use the bot to time important announcements. For further help, please follow the instructions in the attached .txt files! For further-further help, feel free to PM me (:

Do I have to keep my web browser open for it to work? Based on the following feedback:

With your bot, do I need to have my web browser open for it to work?

The video was intentionally recorded from opening the browser otherway you wouldn't see anything. In practice, you do not have to keep your browser open in any way. The software is creating its own instance from your browser when the time comes and even then you could completely hide GUI with a setting.

144  Economy / Marketplace / Is "tipping" worth? on: December 30, 2016, 09:49:45 PM
People who are giving products and services for BTC "tipping" nowadays, is it truly worth for You?

I read that "tipping" does not work anymore because people prefer to download and then never tip even if they are nevertheless satisfied with the product. Also, I know that is why alot of people are selling their products for a hilariously low price because even selling for that price is said to be better than trusting in tips.
145  Economy / Marketplace / I found an exploit. Where to sell? on: December 30, 2016, 08:45:49 PM
It is NOT that I want to sell the exploit itself in this forum. Let us say, I found an exploit in a library that alot of crypto products use and cannot handle in their code. Again, I do not want to destroy them by selling what I found itself.

So, what are my options to HELP people with this knowledge AND still make PROFIT?

I have my doubts that releasing a public thread about it would mean any help and reporting it individually may not reach the desired impact especially if the developers have less sophisticated English communication skills and the discussion ends up in confusion as I experienced a few times in the past.
146  Economy / Marketplace / Cipher decryption service // How many of you will need it? on: December 25, 2016, 05:47:07 PM
In the past few weeks, I was learning about encryption algorithms and algorithms of how I can decrypt them. If I released a service on BCT where I am offering to identify/decrypt encryption, would You find it useful?

This service would have three phases:
I) You could send me any cipher (or cipher with plaintext)
II) I would analyze the encryption the cipher was encrypted with
[OPTIONAL] III) I would decrypt the cipher and send back the result
147  Economy / Marketplace / Universal Exploit Scanner | Is there any demand? on: December 18, 2016, 12:16:10 PM
Is there any out of the box file scanner around? Is there a demand on BCT of it?

By "out of the box file scanner" I mean a file scanner that searches not only if the file has a suspicious signature in it, but search the internet for the history of the file, looking up user opinions on the file from different sites, checks whether it appears in any article/blog related suspicious behavior and heuristically tries to determine whether it COULD be used for malicious purposes. Then the scanner would collect the information into an organized table.
148  Economy / Marketplace / Attitude towards BCT automation? on: December 13, 2016, 08:31:46 PM
Hello! Some forums support, others accept or disallow automation in them. I heard about auto-bump bots and similar on BCT already so I guess BCT is either supports or accepts such automation even though I have not heard about a BCT API yet. Is there an official BCT API? Is creating custom APIs and similar automation/automation-supporting tools allowed for BCT?
149  Bitcoin / Project Development / What do you security test/monitor your site with? on: December 12, 2016, 09:06:35 PM
Hey!

Do you have someone to review your site from security viewpoint or do you use automated software to do it for you?

If the previous, where do you find this person? If the latter, what software would you recommend?

Let us turn this into a discussion so please attach your arguments too!
150  Economy / Goods / [WTB] Mobile phone on: December 09, 2016, 08:50:58 PM
Hey!

I am looking forward to buying a new mobile phone and since I saw so many sellers here I thought why not to try to find an appropriate offer in this forum.

I would need an undamaged, unused Windows phone with big screen. I will want to use it for software application testing so that I will not have to run uber slow simulations in a VM to test my mobile applications. It must have enough power to smoothly run the mobile version of major exchange sites / applications.

I give you more freedom in offering as I am collecting idea and price/value pairs now, I will want to use some time to decide.

Oh, and the seller must be able to ship for free or low price to the Balkan (:
151  Bitcoin / Project Development / Blockchain is your Friend | IDEA OF BF on: November 30, 2016, 09:47:37 PM
Since I am doing a several-month research about DBs at Uni and I have some knowledge about blockchain already, I had the realization that how cool it was if you and I had a knowledgeable friend next to us when we have to query the blockchain. How comfortable it would be if all we had to do was just asking our friend to get certain information for us and he knew it by heart and did it in lightning speed.

So, what if I combined an A.I. and blockchain and provide the knowledge of the A.I. to beginners via a comfortable communication protocol?

For example, it would be possible to simply text the A.I. "Hey, you know my BTC addresses. How much BTC did I sent overall in the last month?" and similar functions.

What is your view on it? Would you use it?
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Looking for slow increase on: November 28, 2016, 08:08:02 PM
I thought I could invest some more money into an altcoin, but my problem is that I cannot afford in time to follow the development/prices regularly. That is why I want to invest into an altcoin that has a relatively stable rise in price and I do not mind if this rise is relatively slow. So, what altcoin investment would you recommend for me if I want to invest for long-term?
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What's the best update in BTC in 2016? on: November 28, 2016, 08:04:31 PM
Looking through the year 2016, in your opinion, what was the most important update in the BTC network? When writing update, I am meaning technical update and although I am asking your personal opinion here, also I want to know why you keep the metnioned update the most important.
154  Economy / Exchanges / Exchange dedicated risk management system on: November 23, 2016, 07:44:27 PM
Hey!

In my experience, every exchange company (even individuals) takes risks into consideration and most exchange companies in crypto even has some kind of risk mangement system, totally informal at most of the times and without any documentation, though.

Do you use or have you ever met with any (documented) risk management system that worked well in crypto exchange?

If you are in a business in exchange, how do you manage the risks in this highly uncertain area?
155  Other / Off-topic / How do you estimate your project? on: November 22, 2016, 05:22:45 PM
When a client seeks you with an offer and asks how much it will cost, take in time ... etc how do you estimate these parameters of your project?

Do you use any decomposition (if yes, what is your technique?) or do you estimate by your past experience? Do you use a standard technique by any chance like LOC oriented?
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What are the advantages of BTC's blockchain being transparent? on: November 17, 2016, 08:19:17 PM
What are the advantages of BTC's blockchain being transparent?

What is the level of transparency that we really need?

Because there are methods that could assemble the information in the blockchain with the information from certain other methods and could point with high precision what blockchain activity belongs to who.

Secret services are researching methods like these.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How resistant is Monero against blockchain analysing? on: November 17, 2016, 08:16:18 PM
Monero promises high resistance against blockchain analysing.

Have you ever met with a tool that could break this resistance?

It does not have to have 100% success rate, I just would like to know how far the attempts could get.
158  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / What DB do you use at your end? on: November 17, 2016, 08:13:45 PM
I was researching the ways how people make queries in the blockchain and I got the result that many create custom DBs on their ends to support their ways. If you use an additional DB at your end (other than core's leveldb) to store blockchain data, what DB do you use?
159  Bitcoin / Project Development / Bitcoin address rating system on: November 17, 2016, 08:10:52 PM
Since there is no method to certainly know what BTC address belongs to who and anyone can easily query addresses in the blockchain, I was thinking of how much a rating system would be a good idea. I was thinking of a DB where you could register BTC addresses and then the community could appreciate them by voting. So, registered BTC addresses would have a kind of reputation.

How good this idea you think is? Or we have a system like this already?
160  Economy / Marketplace / What payment processors do you use? on: November 11, 2016, 08:20:25 AM
I would like to know what payment processors the clients and sellers of our community prefer. If you both sell and buy on the forum, you could tell both what payment processor you prefer in client role and in seller role. I would appreciate a short explanation to your preference, too.
