1  Economy / Gambling / How do we know these sites aren't rigged? on: August 06, 2015, 09:37:47 PM
I've just recently signed up for Betchain, and 1 thing I noticed on the Roulette table is, whenever you are winning the odds turn against you.
if you win too many times, it will make you loose a bunch more times, always preventing you from accumulating money.

My question is, being that this is a computer program, how do we trust it's not programmed to be on the websites favor?

I just lost my last $5....  I feel like betchain took advantage of me
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Should the Deepwebs adopt Monero [XMR]? on: August 06, 2015, 07:39:23 PM
There is talk circulating the internet that the deepwebs market may adopt Monero due to it's safety and anonymity.
I personally think it's a good decision due to Bitcoin being somewhat traceable.

My question is, if the deepwebs were to adopt Monero how soon should they do it? Because it seems like the price of Monero is going to skyrocket soon. Should the deepwebs wait until XMR stabilizes a bit?

Also anyone have any other thoughts in regards to the deepwebs discussing Monero adoption?

Thanks.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / NXT (AT) vs Ethereum (Where is the Future)? on: July 30, 2015, 08:06:22 AM
Let's have a real sophisticated conversation here guys.

Is NXT (AT) a threat to Ethereum? or Vice Versa?

Explain your reasons.

I personally will not give my own opinion at this time, and remain neutral.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How is NXT decentralized? on: July 30, 2015, 05:08:58 AM
Excuse my ignorance, but I can't seem to find an answer from the internet.

If NXT is a decentralized currency, why do I need to download their client to store my coin? That doesn't feel safe to me.

For example with Bitcoin,Monero,Litecoin, etc I can generate a random wallet and put it in cold-storage, but from what I understand NXT wallets are only stored online?

Am I missing something here?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Altcoins are becoming a joke...... Anyone Agree? on: July 27, 2015, 03:02:33 AM
Everyday there is a new SHITcoin being released. It's becoming a joke now.  Enough is Enough!

Nobody accepts these Altcoins as currency, or payment, and nobody outside of this forum (and the cryptocurrency community) knows what the hell a Litecoin, Dogecoin, NXT, or Monero is.....

People in the real world BARELY know what Bitcoin is.... It's gonna be another 5+ years before Bitcoin starts to meet it's true potential.

The creation of new Altcoins needs to stop, let's face it... Bitcoin has BILLIONS invested into it, and isn't going anywhere.  Until Bitcoin fully penetrates the mainstream, no Altcoin will be a successful predecessor.

Also 1 more thing.... Cryptocurrencies are not stocks.  Undecided

Let's discuss.

(Monero & Litecoin are the only candidates to be the BTC alternative)
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / moneroaddress.org is it safe? on: July 26, 2015, 04:35:37 PM
These new altcoins are a convoluted mess for the average non-technical cryptocurrensy enthusiast such as my self. It so many coins, and so much technicalities it's confuses me.

The reason I made this thread is because I'd like to get started in Monero because I like the idea of a fully anonymous currency. My question is, is MoneroAddress.org a safe & proper place to get a wallet for cold storage? I recently watched a video with the main developer on Monero (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEVm1dMn5Ks) , and there was a part where he implied the only way to get a wallet was through the Monero program or Mymonero?

I  know I sound like a total newbie, but you people have to understand that not everyone is a computer geek, some of us are regular people who support cryptocurrensy.  Undecided
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitcoin WILL die. What is the best alternative? on: July 20, 2015, 02:09:00 PM
The cryptocurrensy community seems to ignore the inevitable threat of a 51% attack.  Once the government and major banks see that Bitcoin is impeding on their infrastructure they will come together and execute a 51% attack. IT WILL HAPPEN, and the amount of money it takes for them to execute the attack is peanuts.

My question is, what cryptocurrensy has the necessary code to make it insusceptible to the 51% attack? LTC? NXTCOIN?

Let's Discus.. This is important.
