2  Other / Meta / Bitcointalk.org would like to use your current location on: September 25, 2019, 08:47:13 PM
Today I was looking for one Bitcointalk thread on Google. I visited one link that I got in search results and got this notification:

It says "Bitcointalk.org would like to use your current location".
At first I thought it's phishing website, but no, it's original Bitcointalk. I have never faced it on Bitcointalk before. Does it come from Cloudflare? Because I don't know why theymos would want to know our location.

5  Economy / Micro Earnings / Faucethero.com blocked on: January 20, 2019, 12:30:36 AM
Hi,
Recently I tried to visit Faucethero.com and some faucets hosted on this service, but I wasn't able to do that. My browser blocked access to this website because it's infected with malicious programs. It's blocked on Firefox and Chrome and it only worked on Opera. Does anyone else have same issue right now?

7  Economy / Exchanges / Coinbase will require KYC in order to send/receive cryptocurrencies on: October 09, 2018, 08:34:36 PM
Got this email notification from Coinbase today.
Quote
Beginning soon, Coinbase will require customers to submit a verified identity document in order to send and receive cryptocurrencies.

Submitting a verified identity document will ensure no disruption to your account. Additionally, Coinbase will increase your daily buy/sell limit to 100,000 EUR.

To learn more, please visit this support article:
https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/2956858
What are your thoughts about it? I know that many people are using Coinbase as crypto wallet, not as exchange. For example, crypto trading still aren't available in my country on Coinbase. Coinbase always been called as crypto bank, and we shouldn't be surprised about this decision. But still, require KYC in order just to send/receive crypto sound ridiculous. Do you think that many people who are using Coinbase as crypto wallet will leave this platform?
8  Economy / Micro Earnings / Faucet.ly microwallet on: September 08, 2018, 07:51:14 PM
Recently I found new microwallet, called Faucet.ly https://faucet.ly/
Did anyone tried it? Acording to their stats they have 37 faucets currently and already paid over $400. They support Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin currencies.
Faucet.ly have their own faucet script, but API documentation looks very similar like on other microwallet services.
I saw their advertisement on Bitcointalk ad slots, what isn't a cheap way to advertise, so it means that they have initial budget and it can be legit service. Offcourse, it also can be revival of Epay.info Cheesy. What do you think about it?

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN][ICO] Freewatch Token - freewatch.io - Revolutionize Erotic Webcam Streams on: September 05, 2017, 08:41:29 PM
Freewatch Token

During the past few decades the adult industry has been subject to staggering growth. Recent reports of yearly worldwide revenue of around $100 billion might be impressive, but issues such as piracy have slowed down the growth of this sector. However, there is a multi-billion dollar niche within the adult industry that keeps growing – erotic live webcam streams. The reason for this unhalted growth can be seen in the nature of this niche. Unlike conventional porn this niche is almost immune to the issue of piracy, since the selling point of live webcams is to be seen in the fact that the user can directly communicate and interact with the performer. The niche of erotic live webcams offers a human intimacy aspect that usual porn cannot.
Right now, the big live webcam streaming platforms work with a system based on “virtual tokens”. These can be purchased by users on the platform and sent to performers via a “tipping system”. Regular platforms make the price of these virtual tokens and take large percentages of the performers’ earnings. To put it in numbers, platforms will often times take up to 40%+ of what webcam models have worked for. This is an issue that has not been solved yet and it is our goal to present a solution:
Freewatch Token.
Freewatch Token is an Ethereum Token that will be implemented on freewatch.io, a new upcoming webcam live streaming platform. On this platform performers will have the freedom to finally work for themselves and actually receive the payments that their watchers decide to send them. Freewatch.io will not take large percentages of the payments, but will offer a secure environment for webcam models to do the work they are used to doing – with a chance of much higher profits. The price of Freewatch Tokens will not be made by the platform, but by the market, which will give control back to the users.
As you can also read in the white paper our concept is based on the idea that blockchain technology and smart contracts are and will be changing the way the world works. With this in mind we aim at changing the present outdated system that is erotic live webcam streaming.
The positive outcome of this project will benefit every party involved, except for the present platforms owners that have been making money to the detriment of their users. For this reason anonymity is very important for us, especially at the current stage of the project. In conclusion it is to say that potential investors and future users can be assured that we are fully behind this project and have set our minds on making it succeed.

20  Economy / Micro Earnings / Overview of Bitcoin Advertising networks on: February 25, 2017, 06:32:27 PM
bitcoins4free.ml/overview-bitcoin-advertising-networks/
I noticed that all lists of bitcoin advertising networks are not updated and I thought it can be useful to collect information about such networks into one place. So far I writed only some basic information about each network. I didn't find information about withdrawals on few ad networks. And maybe I forgot to add some networks.
Please suggest what I can write additional about these networks. It would be nice to hear comments from people who are using these advertising networks.
And if you know popunder ad networks and url shorteners which pays in bitcoin, please write about it here.
