1  Economy / Gambling discussion / You cannot win in gambling on: September 16, 2018, 04:55:26 PM
I just had a really bad day gambling today with Roma losing a ticket for me and their odd was 1.20 and they were playing against the last place of Italian Serie A. I thought a bad day and move on and played another ticket this time I choose Brondby as they were playing at home against a team they had beaten almost always and the odd was 1.35. This was even worse as Brondby lost 2-4 at home to a team quoted from the bookies at 8.5

Now I am not an expert in gambling but this day was a really eye opener for me, you can never win in gambling. Imagine when you can't win in lotto , soccer betting or whatever you call it, you don't have a chance in slots.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Nicehash vs Winminer on: July 31, 2018, 05:50:39 PM
I have some problems with one of the boards I maintain for my colleagues. The board any time I tried to reinstall Windows 10 Pro did a good job until end of installation but then after I try to install Nicehash it crashes, haven't tried Winminer there as I installed Windows 10 Enterprise and it is running stable.

With Winminer it works without problems however with latest Nicehash only 4 of 6 GPU-s can mine Ethereum, 2 of the cards cannot write dag file and Nicehash restarts Claymore miner. What can be any solution to this ? So far tried all sort of things, bios of the cards are modified and working correctly.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Is it still worth to buy a 1050ti on: May 17, 2018, 08:49:14 AM
I have been managing my colleagues rigs for some months now. Since the start of doing so I was amazed by mining and how easy it is to generate bitcoins with it.

I am thinking of building a new 12 cards mining Pc. I have decided to build it with 12 gtx 1050 ti as the consumption is lower if you limit the temperature to 69 degree for example. Hashrate will be a good one at about 2000-2100 sol mining zcash as this coin has skyrocketed lately. My question is , is this kind of computer worth 2400 euro or I am being robed ? For me it is but looking some other experts advice.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Claymore 11.7 Linux problems on: April 28, 2018, 06:52:33 PM
I installed Linux Mint as a second partition to try , installed the latest driver of Nvidias, followed all the guide in Linux Mint forums. Everything was done correctly.

Now when I run the file from Claymore and run it, or run in terminal , nothing happens. In HiveOS it worked but I am at home here and not at work.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Problem mining Sumocoin on: April 11, 2018, 07:29:28 PM
I see that there is more income daily if I mine Sumocoin with Winminer than mining anything with Nicehash with Gtx 1060 3gb now that are not anymore capable of mining ethereum.

When I mine any coin in Winminer the computer behave well and I only mine with graphic cards not with processor so the processor is 100% mine to use for other tasks but when I mine only Sumocoin the computer almost becomes unresponsive. It is strange that only mining the most profitable coin I have this kind of behavior. I wonder what can be the cause.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining Musicoin and finding blocks on: April 05, 2018, 07:00:48 PM
I am mining Musicoin at Nomnom mining pool but within 4 days I have found 4 blocks with 110 Mhs hash power which this pool pays 300 coins for a block. In total mining in this pool so far I have done is 877 coins.

How can I do solo mining for Musicoin if this is possible? It appears this pool haven't paid me the blocks found by me but rather shared them with other people or I am missing something here. Couldn't find more information in the nomnom website that is why I am asking here.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Musicoin Nomnom mining pool not paying? on: April 02, 2018, 11:39:21 AM
I am mining musicoin and up until yesterday I received payouts from nomnom mining pool. Now the amount of mined coins is over 300 and no payment received.

I hope this is because of easter holidays but I am worried about mining payment from this pool.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Musicoin wallet not showing balance on: March 31, 2018, 05:38:19 PM
I have 79 Musicoin mining from a few hours and I see in the block explorer the right balance. When I open my Musicoin wallet version 1.0 it shows 0.00 Musicoin as balance. The wallet is fully synchronized with the network.

What can be the cause and more importantly what is the solution for this problem ?

In fact now I see a problem, wallet says GMC not started and wallet not synchronized , my internet connection is fast enough.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Is it wise to mine Musicoin ? on: March 30, 2018, 01:09:16 PM
Now I am venturing more and more into mining as my colleagues have put their mining computers in our company and I am the IT and watch over them. By looking at their behavior mining Ethereum is still somewhat a bit profitable but not worth all the investment they have done, ROI is quite far away for the moment.

I started reading about low value coins and Musicoin came up to almost every google search that I did, I checked their calculator and you can make a really big amount of Musicoin just in one day with one mining computer with six graphic cards. I also read the walletinvestor website where predictions is that after a few years this coin can give yearly profit of +387%. This was tempting and I told them to switch to mine directly Musicoin but they refused.

What do you say, it is wise to switch or I am wrong ?
10  Economy / Service Discussion / Megatypers website questions on: March 22, 2018, 08:41:46 PM
As you know in my daily job I work as an IT. My typing skill are a minimum of 60 words per minute. I occasionally like to work a bit in the solving captcha service Megatypers because they can pay in bitcoin and they have increased their payment rate which still sucks.

I have an Internet connection with speedtest results of 15 Mbps download speed and upload speed 0.52 Mbps

When working with Megatypers I believe the upload speed is more important but thought to ask here before deciding what to do, to upgrade to fibre internet with 21 Mbps download speed and 4 Mbps speed upload or only upgrade of the actual internet connection to 6 Mbps.

I get images with delay when working at Megatypers and I get kicked out often , this happens only in tournaments so maybe it is a Megatypers problem but I want to make sure from my side everything is OK. My ping is 6-53 ms where 53 ms is most of the time.

What to do, upgrade the Upload of existing connection or going to upgrade to a fibre internet connection which is costly ?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Information and help needed on: March 21, 2018, 09:14:55 PM
I was contacted by some of my colleagues at work that they want to setup their own pool and point all their miners to this pool in order to mine more efficiently and to have the chance to find a block every 1-2 days. I work as an IT but I am not familiar with these things, at best I have helped them by installing their mining computers. They told me their hashrate is 4 Ghs in DaggerHashimoto which I believe is Ethereum.

I think they need a server and a programmer who will do the maintenance for them but I don't know what else is needed. Can anyone help me with a list of all the needed things. I told them that this will be costly but they told me to not worry for the budget.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Is there a way ? on: February 20, 2018, 09:51:33 AM
I am about to change job and at the job where I am now they let me use the forum but where I will go they are not that user friendly in this regard.

Is there a way to make a webpage invisible through a keyboard command, I mean making it completely disappear from the screen and to use the same keboard command or combination to bring it back ?
13  Economy / Service Discussion / Where to sell Segwit bitcoin ? on: February 13, 2018, 08:51:16 PM
I tried to sell in Skrill and Bitpay did not recognize it as a valid option yet. I use both versions Legacy and Segwit in Electrum and wanted to try but without success. Now I need a good exchange which accepts Segwit so I can exchange it back to Legacy and sell through Skrill. Any good exchange which has support for this ?
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Ebay and Litecoin coming together ? on: February 12, 2018, 07:11:20 PM
A friend of mine suggested me that this is a good time to buy litecoin. I asked him why and he replied like this.

"In the year 2020 the deal through Ebay and Paypal will finish and Litecoin creators are talking with Ebay in order to have as a payment method something called Litpay based on Litecoin"

Before I buy some Litecoin for long time holding thought to ask here first as without verifying the news I don't think will be a good move.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Friends haunting me with the dotcom saga on: February 06, 2018, 09:25:55 PM
Many friends of mine which I convinced them to buy a minimum of 0.01 bitcoin or to use their devices to mine because some of them have the AMD Ryzen 1700x processor which makes about 1 or more dollars daily are haunting me now because they think that bitcoin will be memories like the dotcom was in the year 1997-2000. I just read on Wikipedia for thedotcom and I think they are not the same as bitcoin because bitcoin relies on blockchain technology which is better than dotcoin.

Any arguments from the forum to shut their mouth because I am starting to get bored and pissed by their behavior, I helped them while they think I cheated them.

16  Economy / Service Discussion / Nicehash lower withdrawal ? on: February 06, 2018, 06:14:29 PM
Did Nicehash lowered their minimum withdrawal? I am a small home miner with three Nvidia graphic cards and I used to get paid when I reach 0.01 bitcoin which I do in 3 weeks time. This time they paid me in 2 weeks for 0.0069 bitcoin as the amount. This is a welcome change for me that I am a very small fish in the big sea of mining but sounds strange. Is it real or is it because of irregular payouts that Nicehash is doing since they recovered after the hack ?
17  Economy / Service Discussion / Ebay full of scammers or ? on: January 26, 2018, 04:56:53 PM
It has been about 3-4 months I am mining with my computer. I have seen these cards so cheap in Ebay that I want to buy bulks of them to build a cheap mining computer. I suspect the seller is a scammer although with very positive feedback or that the card in the link is a Chinese copy.

I am waiting expert replies before I lose money into this.
18  Bitcoin / Alternative clients / Exodus and Komodo on: November 17, 2017, 06:50:27 PM
I checked Exodus roadmap and I didn't see it will accept anytime soon Komodo there but still want to ask here. I will be paid with Komodo when my signature ends of 27 November and I have downloaded a Komodo desktop wallet which reviews are good but would love to keep them in Exodus. The feature I like more of Exodus is the exchange section of every altcoin to bitcoin.

Why not add a major coin like Komodo while they have added even weaker coins, what do you think , it is not worth it or they haven't care much ?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Rippex, a good or bad ripple wallet ? on: November 05, 2017, 05:24:06 PM
I am mining some ripples and now I want to withdraw. I don't to withdraw to an exchange as I don't know what happens to an exchange and it is not a safe practice to keep your coins in any exchange. I want to download Rippex a desktop Ripple wallet but don't know if it is good and safe to download. I have heard a lot of things that if you install certain obscure altcoin wallets maybe your bitcoin wallet gets compromised.
20  Economy / Service Discussion / New sophisticated scam in cloud mining, be wary. on: October 20, 2017, 07:20:34 PM
The website gives you spins in order to win at their slot machine. They can also take mining power from your CPU through your browser offering you 1 spin for every 2500 hashes. Their min payout is extremely huge 0.03 bitcoins. They increase your free spins you can claim automatically every three hours when you invite people to play there or to use their CPU power.

To me this is quite a sophisticated scam as you may think they get real money from your CPU mining but they don't have any ads at all.

This is just like many other cloud mining scams, be wary.
