281  Economy / Scam Accusations / Squall1066 VS Dank on: January 08, 2013, 09:29:39 PM

Long time comeing I suppose, Reference to my deposit

He paid back 23 of the 75 so owes 52

I asked for my BTC back as almost a month and I got this just now

Hey, I have no money, I have no means to earn money, I couldn't get a job if I tried with an arrest warrant.  When the economy collapses, I'll be sure to send you a good bit of whatever anyone may send me.

I do have means to organize this concert and bring world peace, sorry if this situation isn't suitable for you.

Peace

So I will not get my BTC back.

282  Economy / Goods / Prevention is better than a cure. Please escrow. on: December 30, 2012, 12:09:51 PM
In these times of Mass scammers out there, I urge people to use an escrow. There are many good members out there willing to help to secure the bitcoin community, There are also more people willing to do anything to scam you out of your coins, Please just do your research on someone before you part with your hard earned coins.

An escrow list - Last update 15-11-18

Note to mod, I know this is in the wrong section as I am not selling anything, I feel we all need to be wiser, People in the selling forums are less likely to look elsewhere for information on what this is and how it is acheved,
Even if a few people read this and use escrow, Or a few scammers don't get their coins, I will consider this a good job.
Please consider not moveing out the way, This needs to be addressed.

** jan 16

There is a new wave of possible scammers, People who buy up legendary accounts and trade untill they have large sum of money then run, This has been done with a very trusted account recently.

Please be cautious, I am trying to set up a 3 way secure key escrow for my personal escrows to add peace of mind.

I would like to point out, that I do not partake in escrowing forum accounts, I never have and never will, in fact its against the rules on my forum, This is a trust based commodity as it stands, if we keep moving the goal posts as well as the stadium, no one can be accountable for theft!

Keep safe people, dont give up, trust in BTC, suspect people :-)

** April 17

please watch out for fake accounts made to look like hero/legendary escrow accounts, check the join date and the letters of the name exatly! some use numerical 0 instead of alphabetical O, and please watch out for sold accounts! this forum allows selling of any account, so make it difficult to know who's still real, I do not allow selling of accounts on my forum  Roll Eyes

watch out for fishing links, you will get a link in your PM directing you to a "really good deal" in another thread, when you click the link it will show this forum but you are not logged in! THIS IS A FAKE FORUM! designed to make you think you are not logged in so you put in your password! please report the message to mods in your inbox.

296  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / GPU artifact, Mobo caused? on: October 03, 2012, 07:20:24 PM
Hiya guy's,

Basically for those that do not know, I have 1 rig with 2 x 5970's on, but one has been crashing intermittently, (display driver stopped responding) It was headless so I need to connect monitor and stuff on to see what was up, I seen lots of artifacts on the screen, I thought F%$£ I'm down a card, So I took it out and chucked in a 5870 after blowing out the slot for dust, When I turned on I got lots of screen jumping and flickering, So I thought it was the PCI-e slot? So after a while I took the 5870 out and swopped the 5970's over, (so back to 2x59's but swopped over) Still got flickering and stuff, But not as bad as the first one. So Basically My question is this, Does this sound like a mobo glitch or is my first card on its way out? Is there any tests to clarify my situation?

I ask mainly as I need to sell them soon and want to say if there is any fault with the card/s?
297  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / bitcoind 7.0 help, Missing addresses [SORTED] on: September 21, 2012, 07:31:47 AM
Hi all, just moved to version 7.0 and most of my receiving addresses have disappeared and are not listed in receive coins tab, But when I copy the address from last time it was used, bitcoind has the right label attached so it recognizes the key.

Anyone know where my addresses are?

squall1066

EDIT, I did send 0.001 to it and it did say "payment to yourself" so it does receive.
298  Economy / Computer hardware / Judging Intrest to sell GPU's in U.K. Updated on: September 19, 2012, 02:39:14 PM
EDIT - Right starting to sell the GPU's, I have some contacts built up for the 5870's I will work through the list before offering them here, so I am starting with the 2x5970's
Please read this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=115264.0 I wish to be totally honest about these cards, They are still running fine right now, But if they are getting shakey I want you to know.

What are they worth to you, (if anyone is still wanting these) Accept BTC only, Say what you will pay inc shipping from U.K.

I shall leave what I said before......

Basically, I will be selling All my GPU's after the 14th of October, I live in the U.K. I would like to sell all at once, If not then separately.

Short run down is

2 x 5970, 1 is HIS reference OEM with box no accessory's, Was RMA'd a month ago, So only been mining since then, Now out of warranty. the other is Asus reference, Boxed with some bits and pieces, New fan being fitted when arrived, Was a gaming card now mining constantly for about 3 months, Both being run at stock volts, 800/300 mem, Sweet as..

EDIT 09-23-12 Fan on asus 5970 replaced and running smooth again, thanks to Xfinity

Then 6 x 5870, Bit foggy on these, 2 are non ref, 4 are ref, not sure what makes are boxed or what, I will update later. All are run at 900/300 stock volts.

Notice I don't clock my cards like mad, This leaves them cooler and last longer, Looking for £1100 for the lot, Might do a deal for some equipment to go with it, Basically just seeing if there is any interest. Their are two not photoed as they are in my computer now.

299  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] Gpu fan UK [ENDED] on: September 17, 2012, 06:51:43 PM

300  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Laptop for headless miners??? on: September 14, 2012, 06:15:38 PM
Hiya everyone, Here is my situation, I have a few headless miners dotted around a large area, I need a central place to manage them all, I have looked into various program's for doing this, But that isn't my question here, I thought about a basic P.C. with a monitor, to watch everything on, But It needs to be on constantly, and they still draw up to 150w and are large/bulky with keyboard/mouse leads, So I thought laptop, Some 19v laptops still draw around 70-90w, Then I looked at atom/linux based notebooks Drawing 21w under load, Small, No keyboard/mouse wires.
Perfect I thought, But are these little things powerful enough to do remote management program's? Also I have a bfl single I need to plug in, and would like it to run a wallet too. can this be done? Or any other thoughts on what to do?

Re-cap, I need a small compact machine, that can handle remote management program's, handle a bfl on a usb port (with software), Hold a wallet with blockchain. I need it to be Linux based and run with a lowest wattage possible as it needs to be on constantly.

thanks
