Dark Send (Private Transactions)

Masternodes facilitate private transactions through a decentralized mixing service that takes advantage of the perfect fungibility of the currency. Any unit of Masternodecoin has the equivalent value to any other unit of identical size, regardless of the transaction history of any particular unit.
Masternodes use this property to automatically break up private transactions into multiple identical and indistinguishable transactions, both adding complexity to the original transaction and obfuscating the provenance of any given unit.
In a block of transactions, three users submit funds in various set denominations. Users pay themselves back in the form of new outputs, which are randomly ordered.
Private Masternodecoin transactions are initiated through a local wallet and received by the masternode subnetwork. Transactions are processed in groups of three. Inputs of common denominations are required – for example 0.1 MTNC, 1 MTNC, 10 MTNC, or 100 MTNC.
Upon application to the mixing pool, a receiving masternode propagates the transaction set throughout the network. If only one or two private transactions are pending, they are held in queue until three are in the mixing pool. Fees are extracted from the individual transactions, then charged collectively to further obfuscate the transaction history.
Private send is limited,thus requiring multiple sessions to thoroughly delink associated transaction history from significant amounts of money. Since each session is limited to three clients, an observer has a one in three chance of being able to follow a transaction.
Mixed transactions are chained together through multiple masternodes, making traceability exponentially more difficult with each additional chained transaction. Users have some control over the degree of mixing. More mixing takes more time, but more thoroughly obfuscates inputs.
The fee for these transactions grows with each degree, as the process is more labor intensive for the masternodes .
This method of mixing is a trustless, integrated, on-chain, on-network service that is efficient, effective, and safe. It is initiated directly within a local wallet and completed without leaving the Masternodecoin network. While some details of private transactions are obscured, the system nevertheless retains verifiable integrity of spent coins on the Masternodecoin blockchain.

Os pongo en contexto. Esta tarde he estado haciendo algo de arbitrage entre mtgox y bitstamp. Ya sabéis que hay bastante gap entre ellos y que se puede sacar algún extra moviendo dolares y bitcoins de un sitio a otro. Es un poco estresante, en parte por mi culpa (vez de comprar/vender y luego mover saldos, compro, muevo saldos y vendo, haciendo además algo de trading para apurar los margenes, sí, ya se que es arriesgado), por lo que al final termino muy bien sin saber de donde sale qué ni hacia donde va qué.

La cuestión (y siento la parrafada introductoria) es que al final he visto un desfase de 4 BTC y pico entre lo que tengo y lo debería tener, pero a mi favor. Si, a mi favor, 4 BTC y pico de gratix en mi cuenta  . Haciendo un "debug" a la historia de operaciones me encuentro que bitstamp me los ha enviado por error. La razón es que hice un withdrawal y, mientras estaba pendiente de aprobación, lo cancelé porque me consiguió entrar una orden de compra y prefería enviar todos los BTC del tirón. Parece ser que, de pura chiripa, exploté algún tipo de condición de carrera entre la cancelación y la emisión de la orden, de forma que los BTCs se enviaron y no se detrajeron de mi saldo.

Obviamente los he enviado de vuelta y ahí en mi cuenta los tienen, para que los cojan cuando se den cuenta de que les falta dinero. El problema es, en mi opinión, esto es algo muy muy chungo para un exchange. Por vulnerabilidades de este tipo ha caído ya más de uno. Entre esto y el problema de Mtgox en EE.UU. ¿qué nos queda? ¿Los rusos del BTC-e con sus pufos con las altcoins?

En fin, pues solo era eso, para que al menos lo sepáis, que de vez en cuando bitstamp "regala" bitcoins (de otra gente, se entiende). Así que andad con ojo y no pongáis demasiados huevos esta cesta.

¿Alguien sabe donde puedo obtener un histórico de precios del bitcoin en formato crudo (un raw o un txt tabulado)? No ha de ser muy detallado, con el precio por día podría valer, aunque si se puede elegir como parámetro sería estupendo. (No es para usar el sierra chart, pero los analistas técnicos, ¿donde lo enchufáis para obtener los datos?). Por otro lado, necesitaría también el histórico de dificultad.

He tenido una idea y me gustaría contrastarla con datos (no, no es sobre la conocida correlación, que no causalidad, entre dificultad y precio). Espero no parecer muy HOIGAN, con un par de indicaciones me doy por satisfecho

Ahora mismo minar cualquier otra moneda distinta al bitcoin supone un beneficio entre el 200% y el 500%. ¿Alguien me explica que está pasando? ¿Están regalando dólares, euros o qué?

Debido a un bug en el código de la nueva versión 0.8(*) los nuevos bloque minados con dicha versión han resultado incompatibles con los de las versiones de bitcoin anteriores, quedando la red divida temporalmente en dos tipos de bitcoins, distintos e incompatibles entre sí. Afortunadamente se ha conseguido resolver el problema (con la colaboración de los grandes pools, especialmente BTCguild) y dejar de nuevo la red en un estado consistente.

Por ejemplo, había pensado guardar la billetera en un CD regrabable, pero este tipo de soporte tiene una vida media inferior a 2 años. Una llave USB no sé cuanto puede durar y un disco duro puede dañarse de mil y una formas. La tinta impresa en un papel puede borrarse, o el papel degradarse. Igualmente tampoco es buena idea tener multiples copias (backups) por ahí dispersas, ya que se supone que son tus bitcoins.

Así que lanzo la pregunta: si quisieseis que una billetera fuera lo más perdurable posible, ¿como lo haríais?

Parece que por fin hemos alcanzado el pico de tasa de hashing (aprox. 22 THs) y el siguiente reajuste será negativo. ¿Buenas noticias para los mineros, o regalo envenenado que esconde caídas en el precio?

¿Teníais algo metido en el mercado de valores por excelencia del bitcoin? De pura chiripa no es mi caso, pero considero el hecho tan grave como si MtGox de pronto cerrase sin más explicación.

No se vosotros, pero yo ya empiezo a estar harto de tanta magufada. Empiezo a pensar que los bitcoins son para tenerlos bien guardatitos en una cartera offline, y punto. Ni "inversiones" ni historias.

Convencido de las posibilidades que ofrece nuestro querido bitcoin, me he animado a ofrecer un servicio de liberación de móviles mediante IMEI, un método seguro, cómodo y rápido que no invalida la garantía del terminal. El precio del servicio depende del terminal en particular a liberar, ya que el cálculo del código del código de liberación no es igual en todos ellos. En cualquier caso me comprometo a ofrecer unos precios competitivos. A modo de ejemplo, la mayoría de los Alcatel y Blackberry se pueden liberar por 0.5 BTC, HTC y Apple por un 1BTC y Samsungs desde 2 BTC (son los más difíciles de calcular). De todas formas no tengáis miedo a preguntar  .

Seguramente no esté descubriendo la pólvora, pero dado mi estatus de novato creo que me lo puedo permitir  .

¿Habéis considerado la posibilidad de usar halcash como método para hacer intercambios prácticamente anónimos (al menos no tan trazables como una transferencia)? Por lo visto tan solo es necesario enviar un código al receptor para que, desde un cajero compatible con el sistema, pueda retirar el dinero.

La verdad es que escribo sin haberlo probado antes, por lo me gustaría conocer la opinión de algún conforero que lo haya usado antes.

Acabo de recibir en el correo una invitación para GPUMAX, lo cual me ha generado bastantes sentimientos encontrados. La pedí hace bastante tiempo, antes de que saltara el pufo del pirata.

¿Algún minero con experiencia al respecto?

¿Alguien sabe si se pueden hacer (particularmente en mtgox) y cómo?
