81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / WTS my 17m KOINCOIN (formally branded COINYECOIN) for btc/ltc on: March 17, 2014, 03:54:13 AM
i got 17mill koincoins (formerly coinye) message me with your price and if reasonable, their yours.

the way i trade is that i send 10% first you send 10% of the agreed bitcoin. and we repeat the process 10 times until full exchange is complete.

that way its fair and reduces risks for both parties
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / here is an idea for you coin creators on: March 12, 2014, 02:29:55 AM
i will explain it in laymans terms and hope someone out there can make it happen

instead of a TX being (in laymans terms)
send 1coin from Xs8dfsdf79sd8f9s8df98dsf79s89df79s8df to Xlghflkhuirtfsdfgdfjglsdkfjgdfgj

have a TX that has
send 1coin from Xs8dfsdf79sd8f9s8df98dsf79s89df79s8df to Xlghflkhuirtfsdfgdfjglsdkfjgdfgj
send 50coin from Ypplpdfgdfgljdlfhgsdjfskjdhfksdjfhksdjfsjdfk to Yersdjfsdjf, sdfnjdfkjfgkdfjgkdfjg

so that technically it creates 2 coins in one blockchain.

why? you maybe asking

decentralised exchanges..

where client John talks to Jane and agrees to swap 1X coin for 50Y coins. instead of using an exchange or escrow their client sets up a TXID
which they tell ech other. and then john signs his transaction to send 1X and sends a copy to Jane. Jane signs her transaction to send 50Y and sends a copy to John.
now that they both have a copy of eachothers signe transactions, they then sign both their transactions using theTXID they created right at the start. this then gets sent on the network work where jane relays it and john relays it. and then as other nodes pass it on and see that jane and johns TXID of the double transaction match, it ends up getting mined and then put into a block.

now the block shows that john owns 50Y coin and jane owns 1X.

i have tried to make it simple, feel free to question it or improve on the idea

84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / there is so much FUD here now, even the government is upto it on: February 25, 2014, 11:37:56 AM

85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / how to make the most of altcoin trading on: February 13, 2014, 11:35:22 PM
the best way to make the most out of a pump and dump coin/altcoin is to find the cheapest coin there is.

take for example grump coin which is on the exchange
https://www.cryptorush.in/

it is currently worth 3 satoshi's each, thats right for only 1btc you can buy 3 million coins. and if the price rised by just 1 bip (1 order line) you can sell and make 33% profit.. and lets say it rose to 10 satoshi's each then you have tripled your money.

so try not to waste funds on coins that are in the thousands of satoshi's as there are thousands of chances (orderlines/bips) that it can drop by. but a low priced coin such as grump coin has only 3 chances to drop but millions of chances to rise.

happy trading people Cheesy

87  Economy / Speculation / first week of the month - dont panic on: January 06, 2014, 11:15:02 PM
for the last 10 months there has been a noticable trend of merchants selling off coin back into FIAT. and this month is no difference, its just yet another first week of the month volatile period.

do not panic, and don't start fud about bitcoin dying this month. atleast get rid of your sheepish thoughts to panic and sell off at a loss. hold strong onto your bitcoins, never sell at a loss.

again any price drop this week is expected, and will recover.

do not be a panic sheep
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / bitcoin in jeopardy on: December 17, 2013, 02:54:15 AM

90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / bitcoin on UK TV BBC Newsnight on: November 22, 2013, 11:05:13 PM
bitcoin was mentioned on BBC's newsnight today.

seems that the presenter and a representative from western union world first, along with Max keiser were discussing bitcoin for under 4 minutes. the presenter and WU world first rep hardly gave max keiser a chance to represent bitcoin.

they talked about silk road, talked about the volitility and hacking and government seizures of the coin in a way that bitcoin isn't worth the risk. not really allowing max to explain that governments cannot just take anyones bitcoins remotely, they cannot just make bitcoins disapear with a line of code.

oh well it seems the british media still want to spout negativity about bitcoin after all.

i guess richard branson endorsing bitcoin is the highlight of todays news.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / how to revolt against the bitcoin foundations 'taint' idea's on: November 15, 2013, 01:02:41 PM
with mike hearns plans to add code that will red-list coins.

and other bitcoin foundation plans to change the blockchain to something more U.S government friendly. the solution is simple.

DO NOT upgrade your client to a newer version that contains these ridiculous idea's.

if the majority of us stick with the same version, the bitcoin sticks with us. If a fork occurs, the new versions with those ridiculous idea's will use the fork. simply let them. we/they can call their fork govcoin.. and let the 1% of foundation loving, government loving users play around with their silly fork just like any other alt coin. while we continue using bitcoin as it remains in its current state.

give it a few minutes/hours and the exchanges will see the majority wants bitcoin and not govcoin, thus leaving govcoin to die
92  Other / Meta / cupcakes for sale on: November 08, 2013, 03:36:29 AM
ok then lets see how long this topic stays in the main thread

if i was to talk about a cupcake website that accept bitcoins.. and incessantly posted about it on the main thread of bitcointalk, it would eventually have to be a point where all new topics about cupcakes are put onto the marketplace subthread.

now what point am i trying to make:

well silk road is just a market place, the only link between SR and this forum is the use of bitcoins.. so please move any chatter about silk road away from bitcoins main thread. move it to market place or other or off topic..

SR chatter is as about important to the fundamentals of bitcoin as cupcakes are.. so it doesnt need hundreds of topic left in the main thread each day.

its almost like going to a wall street forum that talks about dollars all day long. but allows the discussion of drug dealing and other crimes to be talked about in the main thread, purely because the crimes are done using dollar..

we are bitcoins, yes there is the freedom to do anything you like with your money... but endless chapters of topics about SR is just peeing me and others off..

its like free advertising for them..

there must be atleast 2 new topics a day about SR on here and its becoming rediculous, no wonder media keep on linking bitcoins legit operations to SR illegal operations.. as the main information point of bitcoin is flooded with SR information and advertising

you never see amsterdams red light district being mentioned bi-daily on the economics/financial pages of european newspapers.. leave SR to their own forum and start making bitcoin about bitcoin and not "who is DPR"
93  Economy / Speculation / calm down everyone on: November 05, 2013, 08:21:22 PM
the vulnerability threat of bitcoin is a false bit of propoganda. its old news and when actually put into practice, the vulnerability does not break bitcoin or cause issues.

and as for the volitility of prices today. again calm down.

every month since april there has been one day during the first week of each month where someone causes some volitily by selling their coins. i think it is someone selling their coins to pay wages, restock their store and pay their bills.

the only ones i can think of that have enough bitcoin projects running and staff and stock paid initially in bitcoins are the 3 main guys of bitnstant that also own bitcoinstore and other projects..

so this is their 'pay day'

nothing more.. calm down, bitcoin is not broken
94  Bitcoin / Press / 2013-10-15 New Statesmen: Bitcoin may be let loose now Silk Road's shut down on: October 16, 2013, 02:21:57 AM
http://www.newstatesman.com/sci-tech/2013/10/bitcoin-may-be-let-loose-now-silk-road-has-been-shut-down

Quote
Now that Silk Road has closed without any discernible damage to Bitcoin's value, maybe we can accept it's here to stay.

Quote
You can't kill Bitcoin. It will not die. The Silk Road shutdown is the second event to challenge its stability and it’s come through with barely a scratch. And, despite the libertarian beliefs of many of its advocates, in part that’s due to Bitcoin going legit in the eyes of the law.

lets hope other media outlets have this mindset  Grin
95  Other / Politics & Society / what is Darryl W Perry all about on: September 08, 2013, 10:48:32 AM
I have just came across some info that 'Darryl W Perry' is a libertarian that accepts bitcoin and is supposedly going to be a candidate for US president 2016.

anyone know much about him, is he just a fanatic with big dreams, or is he already in the political system making changes, and actually having a chance of getting on the shortlist?
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / a new way to beat the banks on: August 09, 2013, 07:18:10 PM
just read this story, and got inspired.

http://now.msn.com/dmitry-agarkov-outwits-russian-bank-by-writing-own-credit-card-terms

knowing that a contract once drawn up can be amended by both partners. and the final terms are agreed when both parties sign. it is legal to alter terms BEFORE signatures are signed.

so what terms would you add to a credit card contract to benefit you

.....0% fee's
....10% payback (in bitcoin)
....all repayments in bitcoin, if the bank refuses to accept bitcoin then debt is reduced to zero.

add your own thoughts
97  Economy / Scam Accusations / bitcoin island bootcamp *scam* on: June 20, 2013, 03:41:31 AM
it has come to many peoples attention that the OP of the bitcoin island (first wrote about in 2012) but soon after stopped replying due to questions starting to get more involved.

has now returned and again is requesting funds, and yet again refusing to answer any questions which would help investors beleive the funds would be used wisely.

the latest thread bitcoin island bootcamp is now in self moderation mode and simply deletes anyone that asks any questions beyond where can they donate.
so here is the questions that got deleted from me:
Quote
obviously you don't realise that im a investor that could actually buy an island outright and in full..

so forgive me for sounding sceptical.

but before you claim that im a troll.. to avoid giving answers. (finshaggy style)

please validate your project beyond a 2 sentence brain fart that literally just asked for 3btc off of people.

show me some research, show me some proof of your involvement.

so here is the questions that got deleted from another person:
Quote

without quoting other posts i will ask you directly.

in the multiple threads relating to bitcoin island in 2012 apart from mentioning crowd sourcing multiple millions of dollars. and showing many idealic places to set camp. You never went into the details of the experience you have of what would be required to build on the land. how you would achieve the builds etc.

what experience in the construction/real estate industries do you have?

how you propose to make it sustainable?

you seemed to have gone very quiet when those questions were asked before,

just because you proposed an idea one year ago, is not certification enough that you are experienced in the project to make it viable for investment.

so here is your chance to sell your knowledge and expertise, instead of us asking richard branson to project lead a bitcoin island. due to the fact that he has undeniable proof of making a sustainable island for himself and visitors.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / community drive to get some PR guys on: April 28, 2013, 11:36:02 PM
ok heres the plan

if you think you can be a great PR/spokesperson for bitcoin. then make a video, and post it in this thread.

also mentioning your current location and travel abilities (distance) both self financed or financed by the media.

what will happen next
your videos will be put forward to the community to show the great talent that may have been over looked or the iffy people the community may not want seen on TV. then all the community projects highlighting bitcoin can use the names they desire in their lists for press representatives to contact.

we are not looking for just a handfull of top spokespeople. we are looking for a rich and large supply of spokes people, enough to cover each country and even smaller regions within each country so that not only international media have people to speak to but local media have a point of contact also.

now back to the video.
examples of content most people want to hear you talk about is
what is bitcoin for the layman.
what is the future of bitcoin
what is your personal opinions of bitcoin
idea's you have that can help bitcoin grow.

there is no criteria as to what the video would be about, the example points above are just that, examples. As long as the video shows you off in your best light talking about bitcoin so that the community will be encouraged to use your name in their websites/projects/chats with media as a possible point of contact. etc etc

now have fun making videos and we (the community) cannot wait to see them.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / finally bitcoin +12,000 fast food restaurants = mainstream on: April 23, 2013, 12:01:11 AM
after months of tempting different online food delivery sites.. guess what

you can now buy fast food with bitcoin
https://www.foodler.com/user/Bitcoin.do

boom 12,094 restaurants across america now accepting bitcoin. boom

i started rambling about it last year and kept it in a few peoples minds to keep pushing people to hammer it home to merchants over the months to think about accepting bitcoins. and it seems one of them has listened so far,

next stage is if a restaurant in your town is linked to the foodler service you can use it to spread the word to other places locally to you that arn't yet accepting bitcoin, but would benefit from it..

so tell you local 7-11 that your local restaurant xyz(whatever it maybe) is accepting bitcoin and allow the other retailers to start looking into bitcoin as the information moves up the chain of command. aswell as any keep and smart guys out there to contact the HQ's of national/international retailers direct

my next step is to keep pushing

and
