3  Other / Beginners & Help / How to really make money as a newbie on: December 12, 2012, 09:31:13 PM
Hey everyone there is a very easy way to earn bitcoins with very little effort.

Websites and blogs are free and you can earn money any time someone clicks your link or clicks on an advertisement.

You make bitcoins by just letting your site do the work.

the first thing you should do is make an account at coinurl.com .... you can use this link https://coinurl.com/

Once you sign up there you can shorten any link you want.  It will spit out a new link and everytime someone clicks this link YOU GET PAID!!!!

You can add these links to your blog or website and sit back and collect bitcoins.

blogspot and wordpress are very good sites to start a free blog

if you want to start a free website 000webhost.com is a great free site.

WHY SPEND HOURS A DAY SURFING SITES FOR BITCENTS WHEN YOU CAN EARN 24 HOURS A DAY WITH NO EFFORT.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE AND START EARNING!!

mod note: Removed the ref link.

12  Other / Off-topic / Strange noise coming from the sky on: December 05, 2012, 05:44:28 AM
I live somewhat close to an airport. I've heard all sorts of aircraft from helicoptors to fighter jets. The sounds I heard today were not of this earth.

I always used to get excited about trying to see a u.f.o   or the idea that there is other life outside our planet....until today.

My wife and I were picking up after the cats, giving them water, food and changing the litter.  I heard what sounded like a fighter jet..I didnt think about it much more than that.
As we were cleaning I noticed the sound did not go away but it was getting louder. I went out front to see what it could be and there was nothing in the sky except clouds. The noise sounded like a huge wind tunnel or constant flow of air or wind. there was no breeze everything was calm except this terrifying noise from above.  It sounded like a huge mother ship was overhead.  there was also a steady humming noise.

i cant explain what this sound was....but it was real.    I no longer wish to see a ufo and I'm kind of frightened the end of the world is coming soon.

15  Other / Beginners & Help / Lurks free raffle[closed for now] on: November 29, 2012, 12:48:42 AM
I'm thinking about doing some small scale raffles.

In the future a ticket will cost .1btc

After 11 people have registered I will use random.org to pick the winning number and the winner will receive 1btc

The first 11 people to send .1 bitcoin   will be included in the raffle.

To make sure you secure your spot  be the first 11 to post the address funds were sent from  and also post the address you would like your winnings sent to.

depending on what position your post is will determine the number you are assigned.

the first to post and send funds will have the number 1

the second will have number 2  and so on.

To get this started and to have a little fun the next couple of drawings will be free.

The winner will receive .01btc

all you need to do is is be one of the first 11 people to post your receiving address.

good luck.

https://btcjam.com/listings/738

I know what my signature says and I know what mistakes ive made in the past.

This loan will afford me the extra funds each month to make a significant repayment on my current loans.

I will not be gambling or using this loan in any other fashion than what is stated.

If the loan gets funded I will instantly send to mt.gox  and then transfer funds into my bank account to pay off my current car loan.

Paying this off will reduce my current monthly payment. It will also allow me to reduce my car insurance to liabilty.

I will save somewhere between $100 and $150 a month.

The savings will allow me to make a significant payback each month on my current loans.

I understand with my problem if I am not trusted or taken seriously but this loan will help so much in my ability to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Getting these loans paid off is my #1 objective.

Thanks to anyone in advance.      I will not be responding to negative posts or trolling.   Please be kind and understand I am being sincere.
17  Bitcoin / Mining / BFL - kind of fishy on: November 28, 2012, 06:55:20 PM
A friend of mine who preordered 3 jalapenos requested a refund.   He wishes to stay anonymous so I am going to post on his behalf.

This seemed extremely fishy to me so i thought i would share with everyone so they could make there own conclusions.

I am not saying bfl is a scam... i am not taking any position at all....just think others should be aware.

So my friend requests a refund.  he had 2 seperate orders. 1 order for 2 jalps and 1 order for 1 jalp.

he paid with bitcoin.

He got a response within 2 hours of his initial request. Bfl said "we could not find one of your orders in our system and we have no record of you paying with paypal.

They should have been able to tell right away that it was purchased with bitcoins.(possible way for them to delay)

So a day passed and my friend sent 3 different e-mails. He included the transaction i.d. and the e-mail confirmation that payment was made.

Still no response from Bfl.

The part that concerned me the most is this next part.....

Before going to bed my friend sent one last e-mail..... He told bfl that if they do not respond to his e-mail by the next day he was going to post the conversation on the forums and warn others about what had happened to him.

Not 10 minutes later his refund showed up in his wallet.  No response from bfl through e-mail...nothing. his coins were returned though.

So his first e-mail was answered in a couple hours.....his next 3 e-mails providing all the info were not responded to.

after threatening to post the e-mails to the forums  a refund was issued instantly.  still no response from bfl.

This tells me  that the poor customer service and delays of getting back to e-mails is not real.  When confronted with being outed on the forum they went from playing stupid and ignoring him...to giving an instant full refund.

could be coincidence. Maybe its nothing to be concerned about.

I am simply posting this so people can see that there is no reason for the e-mail delays or poor customer service.

The smell of fish is overwhelming.
18  Other / Off-topic / asking for help on: November 26, 2012, 06:26:23 PM
I would like to ask for a little bit of help getting myself out of debt.

I posted a loan earlier with the intent on gambling again. I'm pretty desperate and worried about how I'm going to come up with the money to pay back my loans.

The loan is cancelled and I realize taking that risk again will not help me in the long term.  I will just lose again and feel worse.

There is a lot of negative things going on in my life right now and I guess gambling is an escape. I don't have to think about the bad while i'm gambling.

I was doing really well not gambling for awhile and i'm not going to let this miner set back get in my way of recovery.

I'm not going to have a pity party and cry about the direction my life has taken in recent months but I could really use some stress relief.  I've gotten myself into some financial trouble and want nothing more than to pay back what I've lost.

everyday the price of bitcoin goes higher and higher  making payback seem like an unreachable goal. Desperation is sinking in and its hard not to gamble.

Along with the holidays my birthday is coming up. Both cause a fair amount of stress due to the fact that I have no money to buy gifts and i am worse off this year than i have been in 10 years.   Things will get better, they always do but right now i could really use a hand trying to pick myself back up.

If anyone wants to chat or give me advice I'm open to speak through P.M.

If anyone is in a position that they can donate even a small amount I would be extremely grateful. I need to start seeing the light at the end of this debt tunnel.

I could also use a little help if anyone just wants to P.M. and remind me how stupid gambling is.

Thanks anyone in advance for financial and/or moral support.

Look forward to talking to some of you.

Relevant facts:
  • I cannot repay my current bitcoin debt
  • I am addicted to gambling
  • I cannot control myself
  • I will pay back every loan over time

I'm sorry. I will pay everyone back as I buy bitcoin.

I can't stop with the satoshidice. That game is evil. I really thought I was going to hit "big" one day. Every time I would hit big, the standard would raise until I lost control. Big became bigger. I was paying every loan off quickly and was satisfied with the profits + 10 to 20btc.

Every time I paid off my loans I would end up losing my profits on bitzino, satoshidice and seals with clubs.
I would get another loan and do the same, until I couldn't repay. I asked for a year long debt consolidation to a payment that I could manage.
Got more loans and eventually was 100% debt free with a pretty hefty profit.
I lost all the profits. Every loan I have out with anyone right now has been a failure. I thought I was invincible but I kept losing. Until now. I've got to stop this. Its already way out of control.

I was addicted to online poker for years when I was younger. They made it illegal to play to U.S.A. players.
After awhile the urge went away and I thought it was under control.
I was layed off from my job in June. I was desperate and found bitcoin while searching for ways to make money from home. I was fascinated with bitcoin right away but soon found out my 8 year old laptop wasn't going to generate any bitcoins. I started seeking loans.

I started winning and the compulsive behavior started coming back. I could play online poker again....It felt great.

Up until now. I feel horrible. I'm sorry and I will repay the loans over time as I can.

I lost control.

Do not lend to me anymore.
