1  Economy / Exchanges / Binance Hacked?! What we can do better to protect our funds? on: October 09, 2022, 11:10:31 AM
Apparently according to the news : https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/technology/2022/oct/07/binance-crypto-hack-suspended-operations Binance was hacked and it temporarily suspended the transactions from all sides as well, the issue was extremely bad since they nearly lost 500 million !! Please keep in mind that the revenue of Binance is 20 billion to just keep all the things in perspective. The hack was ofcourse resolved on time and the people whose funds were on there are safe now but let us examine what we can do to keep our funds safe.

Some of my friends who are new in crypto were storing everything on Binance, sort of didn't look at the previous hacks as well, So what do you think is the solution?

- Hardware wallets ?
- Paper wallets?

In cases we would be considering long term investment and trading would definitely become difficult, the time it would take for your coins to go to the exchange 💱 the price will get back up or down.

Are mobile wallets the solution?

Definately it's something to think about and I would love to know everyone's opinion on it, I do think personal internet safety comes first, from going on sites for free video surfing to downloading viruses off the internet without knowing.

What's your solution?
2  Economy / Economics / Are we heading towards recession ? on: October 09, 2022, 07:45:35 AM
Are we heading towards recession or are we in a recession ?

According to IMF, International Monetary Find, we are directly heading towards recession and the economy is getting darker and darker. According to them even a positive growth in economy won't feel like a positive growth since :
Quote
We estimate that countries accounting for about one-third of the world economy will experience at least two consecutive quarters of contraction this or next year," said IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva during a speech at Georgetown University, CNN reported.

"And, even when growth is positive, it will feel like a recession because of shrinking real incomes and rising prices."

World can be expected to loose 4 trillion apparently between now and 2026, which is a huge amount. This was already expected to happen the shock waves of the Pandemic, then the War and then Natural disasters in certain Countries.

Not only that, we cannot even lay our hands on the risk assets as well :
Quote
Overall, the economic environment for risk assets is deteriorating. Stagnating global industrial production, persistent cost pressures, and rising financing costs all suggest a prolonged period of low risk appetite
Which means : Bonds, commodities, real estate may all fall drastically as well.

How can we make sure to survive the fall ?
- Can cryptocurrencies work in this environment?
-The current ups and downs in cryptocurrencies have certainly made it hard to breathe for the investors
-What can we do to make sure we survive the whole economic recession? ( Certainly don't put all your money in the banks )

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Price prediction based on Fed's decision T/F Price analysis? Possible? on: September 22, 2022, 05:52:53 AM
Right now we are seeing many people super adamant on predicting the prices based on the decision of the fed and the past as well cannot deny that time and again we have seen inversely proportional relationship between the prices of the Fed's investment plans and the Price of Bitcoin itself, most of the times people tell us that we are unable to predict the price since it depends upon a lot of factors :

Price of Bitcoins ∝ x.y.z........ so on

But looks like we are able to find one of these variables, which is the' Fed', if they increase the interest rates then we would ofcourse have a negative outcome and vice versa.

I think we must be very careful and instigate ourselves, find out how everything works and at the same time try and find these variables for a more successful investment since at the end of the day it's a " crypto " and crypto marker is equivalent to turbulence.

I would like to ask everyone to state one of the variables which they think satisfies the equation ! That would promote a healthy discussion.

Is the price analysis possible to an extent?

5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Zebpay trading on BTTC good way to loose 50£ instantly on: August 10, 2022, 03:50:23 AM
When I trade I usually look for tokens which are going high up for consecutive days therefore at the end of the day I got like 300$ in Zebpay to trade, I decided to see the trend for BTTC, without even thinking I brought it it -4% then when it was +22% I decided to sell it and reinvest the money elsewhere, now what I figured out was !!! * I was actually loosing 50£*

The reason was simple, they had huge difference between buying and selling price and thus at the end of the day I ended up taking all my money out and unfortunately lost a lot as well even though I should have made some profit and silly me for thinking that everywhere it's going to be fair and I have been trading with Zebpay for 5-6 years now and usually my monthly activities are way beyond the norm in there but I already wrote them tickets for what happened and uninstalled the app instantly, going to try and use Binance from now on.

Would advise users to check buying and selling price in advance, even if you think that the platform is legit, they will literally scam you instantly and at last say *did you not read terms and conditions?* also they didn't even allow me to send it to binance since apparently it was an "express" token.

Did you guys also had any experience like this in trading some new tokens ?
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / How Gambling companies can get more users to deposit. on: July 13, 2022, 04:48:00 PM
This post is based on the article published on the source: Source

The source explores how around 49% of the users would deposit more money based on better withdrawal options. Apparently, the survey conducted by US firms explored various areas that stands really important for people.

The key import things in there were :
1. Choice
2. Experience
3. Privacy
4. Preference

They explored a new idea where having a player, having a traffic doesn't necessarily mean that the site got a new player, they generally didn't account it for until and unless they have made a ' Deposit '

Which necessarily improved when the Gambling platforms had more withdrawal options, things Like: PayPal, Debit Card, Online Gambling, Cash app, Gift card etc. Having the freedom of having so many options improved the players willing to deposit money by almost 49%!!

This is certainly something that the Gambling companies do have to look into since this will go long way, thus changes needs to be made, What do you think, how important this option is for you?
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / General Information: Bet-at-home license suspended on: July 10, 2022, 05:26:50 AM
This is information for all the people living in the UK or living somewhere close who might have heard of the casino, Bet-at-home, the license has been suspended by the gambling authorities which means it's no longer safe to engage with them.

Source : https://www.gamblinginsider.com/news/17103/gambling-commission-suspends-bet-at-home-licence

They failed at 116 of the 2005 Gambling Act. They did fail at social Responsibility and had bad money laundering policies as well. The suspension is in effect immediately as well. You would still be able to access the account and withdraw any money left in there as well, therefore I highly advise people to look at their accounts and close them after withdrawing and look for other options as well.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Payouts in casinos on: July 08, 2022, 08:42:07 AM
So I was travelling to Switzerland and decided to browse for the best paying casinos, these are the few that I found:

1. Casino777
2. 7Melons
3. Jackpots

The site that I referred to is here : https://www.casino.org/payouts/

Now the question is: ' Even though most casinos are probably fair how come some casinos have a better payout scale?'

I do understand that the machines in most casinos have to work according to the requirements met by the country or the state but at the same time they also have to make the payouts profitable since no government will ask them to manage how much money they be giving their players. So is it highly personal ?

I would like to encourage you all to research regarding the best payouts from the casinos near you.

- Have you ever considered researching about payouts before playing?
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Self Exclusion on a National Basis, Australia 🦘 on: June 28, 2022, 06:50:01 PM
Australia have just announced a plan where the players would be able to exclude themselves temporarily or permanently from all the gambling platforms in the country. Which I do think is really amazing since it can help control the problem gambling in the country they already have loads of complains as well.

https://www.gamblinginsider.com/news/16954/new-self-exclusion-register-to-launch-in-australia

What do you think about the news ?
Should it include other platforms as well since most of the players know that there are casinos which uses VPN and they would still be able to access it there. But I overall like the idea to control the whole Gambling addiction.

Thoughts?
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / NFT slot Machine !! on: May 31, 2022, 06:40:08 PM
According to the source a crypto website have launched a new NFT which comes with free slots for the holders for UpTo 50 times per day and you can also own new NFT by playing that machine as well !
Quote
The OG Collection will launch on 24 June 2022, while the Jungle Animal Collection will follow with a July 2022 release planned. New Jungle Animal NFTs will then be released monthly up until January 2023.

Due to US gambling laws, Lucky Crypto and Lucky Degens are restricted for US residents.

I found this concept a bit different,  they are trying to build the whole concept around Metaverse with adding the NFT concept as well, I think this is quite different and would like to know the thoughts regarding this, would you play? Would you own the NFT, it's good to see the casinos coming up with new ideas.

11  Economy / Gambling discussion / The digital ID for Gambling on: May 31, 2022, 03:33:05 PM
Apparently Denmark is all Set to Launch the new Digital ID rules for Gambling in the upcoming July. They have already been using some sort of identification but apparently this is new and improved and would apply for all the gamblers willing to submit their ID and use the services. EasyID is now going to be Replaced by MyID. The license holders of online casino would have to now integrate their systems in the manner that the government prefers. People are still waiting for an update but I would like to know what you think about the system of online ID? Integrating it with gambling might be saving some kids going on these sites but it might also be taking all the privacy away. What are your thoughts on this ?

12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Gambling addiction causing victim to scam his family on: May 18, 2022, 06:41:18 PM
Here is the article: https://www.irishexaminer.com/news/courtandcrime/arid-40875731.html
Apparently Boyle Sports manipulated a man is a very sad way where he ended up loosing all the money he scammed from a family member. The man had probelms with Gambling and he tried to stop by closing the account on the website and at the end of the day they saw him stopping but kept sending him mails and at the same time, they apparently sent him a 50$ free betting which at the end ending up to be awful for him since he started it again and ended up loosing all the fortune. The whole things is extremely complex like Some Sherlock Holmes story. The person was not infact gullible since to fuel his gambling addiction he scammed his family member and then went to court and pleaded guilty as well blamed it all on the Boyle Sports.
What do you think who was in the wrong ?
I think both the bettor and the Boyle Sports were in the wrong.
Quote
It was established that the two accounts, to which the payments totalling €56,000 were made, were a personal bank account and a Boyle Sports account, both in Thomas O’Connell’s name. The payments varied from €100 to €1000 and averaged at just over €200.
“Contact was almost on a daily basis – sometimes a couple of times on a particular day. He admitted that he took €56,000 and impersonated (the solicitor),” Det. Garda Fuller said. O’Connell was actually a client of the solicitor he impersonated. The defendant had a gambling and alcohol addiction.
The phone calls and texts – supposedly from the solicitor - to the victim were a work of fiction by 48-year-old Thomas O’Connell who did not stop until he got his hands on every euro of the €56,000 the victim had inherited.

13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Ever thought of doing your thesis on Gambling ? on: May 13, 2022, 04:33:58 PM
According to this article, the Dutch Gambling Authority have awarded 4000€ to students for two Gambling Related thesis.
Quote
Leonard Delank, a master’s student at the University of Groningen and Newcastle University, wrote a paper on loot boxes; items that feature in many video games and offer players a random reward.
In his thesis, Delank drew on the theories of 18th century German philosopher Immanuel Kant, who argued that people have a moral obligation to do the right thing.
Ultimately, he came to the conclusion that loot boxes are not ethical. For his paper, the KSA awarded Delank €2,500

I think in the paper there were few points that were really interesting, most of the times physicians do categorize the gambling addiction into mental disorder but some might accidentally compare it to the OCD. Whereas it claimed how the gamblers who are addicted are 'too uncertain' therefore should be treated seperate from the OCD patients. Apparently the mentality lied in being sensitive to rewards, overconfidence, overestimation as well.

I think it's a wise article and should be taken as a reference when any medical help is being provided to gamblers and at the same time gamblers should also take a note and understand the psychology better.

Would you ever consider doing your research in Gambling? https://www.gamblinginsider.com/news/16389/ksa-awards-4000-to-students-for-gambling-theses
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Horse Racing and Gambling on it should be banned on: April 29, 2022, 05:29:27 PM
I was spending some time with my friends parents and there was not only a huge party but all of them placed p2p bets on the horse racing. They asked me to come over as well, the ending was deeply sad and essential to cover : The horse died after winning of a heart attack.

The horse was presenting signs of heart attack on the camera but no one was actually even giving it a second thought and at the end when it was the last lap, all the horses got whipped excessively hard as well. That gets me to my point "why do you support horse racing?" This is honestly far to cruel to continue.

According the this site: https://www.horsedeathwatch.com/background.php they have seen more than 2000 deaths in around 5500 days. Most of the horses die during the match as well, they also have instances where they are exploited using drugs (doping).

Are you aware that most of the horses go through slaughter as well? Some of them have very bad injuries making them not even the least bit useful for the business therefore they are killed without second thought. I do hope people would get more aware and try and steer away from *horse racing*.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Australia to ban Pokies on: April 28, 2022, 03:30:25 PM
Australia have more gambling machines per person than anyone else in tbe whole world. Right now an interesting event is happening, there have been numerous calls now to remove all those machines from places like the PUBS and the CLUBS.

According to a news report, the slot machines are not just confined to any casino or any usual place, right now apparently in Australia there is no such law, the machines are everywhere an insight into what might be causing tbe leading probelms with increasing addiction there.

Let me take out the important content from the source here :
Quote
The party devised an eight-step plan to slowly eradicate slot machines from the pubs and clubs where gamblers can spend all day without stopping trying to win big.
The Greens hoped to introduce a $7billion transition package to phase pokies out of society.
'Pokies in pubs will be phased out over five years and pokies in clubs will be phased out over 10 years with a support package for clubs and communities,' the plan said.
Councils would also have the right to cap the number of machines set up in pubs in the area under the plan.
Advertising of gambling on public transport and in sport would also be scrapped under the Greens' initiative.
Their stance on the issue was echoed by former Deputy Leader of the NSW Science Party - now known as Fusion Party - James Jansson.

What the party is doing how in favor of it are you ? No doubt I support responsible gambling but at the same time, machines are not the problem, they might just be the surface of it. Why is there no medical support for people affected by gambling addiction in their plan? Do the parties fail to get some decent knowledge about how an addiction is a mental disorder and needs immediate attention. If they remove the machines they will find some other source to gamble on ofc.

Quote
The NSW Greens party has led calls to abolish the gambling machines altogether.

Now, is that fair ?
Abolish the machines altogether?
Why isn't regulation and monitoring not taken into account?
What do you think ?

16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Where does your country stand ? on: April 26, 2022, 06:49:55 PM
I was sitting and wondering which countries might have the highest gambling rates and for me I thought it could be UK or the US but despite this I went on the web to do a rescarch on which countries gamble the most. Let's have a look at this, since this information might be interesting to you guys as well !

1. Australia
2. Singapore ( they only opened their first casino in 2010!)
3. Ireland
4. Canada
5. Finland
6. Italy
7. Hong Kong
8. Norway
9. Greece
10. Spain !!

I was just as surprised as you guys since I did expect other countries to show up here as well instead of the ones that already did but you can recheck the same on the source : https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.worldatlas.com/amp/articles/countries-that-gamble-the-most.html
Other than that US , Canada,. Japan , UK are few of the countries known for their absolute support of the crypto casinos as well.
What about your country as well ??
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / The Paradox of Gambling behavior on: April 22, 2022, 03:09:42 PM
One might already understand that winning at Gambling is hard but at the end of the day we still see a lot of people increasingly interested in Gambling, this might provide an insight into the casino business and at the same time help explore the ideas 💡 in the mind of a Gambler.

One might be aware of the fact that even though the Gambler knows that he is loosing money they measure the gambling to be an effective usage of that money, a leisure activity to begin with therefore it's more concerned with the activity-than winning an idea that some problem gamblers ignore.

Source :here

In roulette type games more than 95% of the amount is usually back to the player but when we talk about lotteries it goes way below 50% which is explained by the lower levels of winners and winning as a whole despite that lottery is some of the biggest revenue collector for the government. The players usually focuses not on winning big, but most of the time the short increase of dopamine makes their money worth it ( ofc if used in moderation)

What do you think is the best game/ sports to gamble on ? Do you do it for winning? Are the ideas in the article according to you correct? How many times you usually win in a game of chance+skills?
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Making e-sports more affordable on: April 20, 2022, 01:55:20 PM
We all understand the value of e-sports in today's era and it is indeed a great deal is a company is all set to develop more free e-sports games
According to the reports Incentive Games have already signed up to do the following, they have already developed 21 e-sports games and of which 14 are totally free to play as well, therefore getting in cannot be more affordable. They would be focused on games such us :
Quote
The first game developed for Esports Technologies will centre around the Counter Strike: Global Offensive marketplace, with further plans to develop Dota 2, League of Legends and Valorant-inspired games

Now e-sports technologies and incentive games have now entered a license agreement where they would be providing the users more free to play games using their algorithms based on free to play games in the casinos as well. This can be a game changer since most of the times in e-sports having to pay to wager and play can be a big deal for small players, this can not only help them secure a wide range of audience but it can also help change the whole e-sports gaming as a whole.

Don't forget to check out the source : https://www.gamblinginsider.com/news/16044/incentive-games-signs-up-to-develop-free-to-play-games-for-esports-technologies

What do you think ? Are you going to play on these platforms? I do believe most of the users might already be using them and seeing this incentive get bigger would certainly bring joy with increasing the free game diversity on the sites.

19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Free Gambling Course provided by OnlineGambling on: April 04, 2022, 05:42:16 PM
According to the Wikipedia blackjack is described as :
Quote
Blackjack is a casino banking game. The most widely played casino banking game in the world, it uses decks of 52 cards and descends from a global family of casino banking games known as Twenty-One. This family of card games also includes the British game of Pontoon and the European game, Vingt-et-Un

This game is not just Luck but its also focused on skills as well therefore more amateur gamblers find it hard to play these games without prior experience in it. It's always good to learn the old fashioned way or to go on YouTube as well, but recently according to an article published on gamblinginsider, the OnlineGambling is providing a free course for amateur players regarding black jack.
It would be over 70 episodes and around 2 hour insight as well. It would comprise of not just basic gameplay but also complex strategic moves as well. They are calling it the BlackJack Academy.
I think this would be extremely helpful for anyone who wants to learn blackjack or to improve their skills as well.
Source: https://www.gamblinginsider.com/news/15879/onlinegambling-launches-free-blackjack-academy-online-video-series
At the same time if you are finding a good platform to play blackjack, I would recommend you to try https://blackjack.fun/as well.
Other than that it's a great initiative since players would be able to :
1. Improve
2. Make better decisions
3. Play competitively and win more !!
4. Gain more confidence

What do you think about this initiative??
Are you going to sign up ??
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Why offline casino go online? Thoughts? on: March 25, 2022, 01:19:00 PM
So I came through the article concerning the fact that a lot of crypto casinos at the moment are going online. The offline casinos are moving towards the crypto trend. The following article states the following reasons that might be going:
1. Pandemic
2. Innovative industry, cryptocurrencies
3. Moving to New markets
4. Mobile friendly
https://igamingbusiness.com/company-news/why-offline-casino-operators-go-online/

Do you think it's profitable for the casinos to go online at the moment since considering the amount of competition that there is and considering how many sites have shut down, even some old ones.

Whereas the traditional casinos continue to provide a sense of fun and adventure in the moment for most people. Therefore should the online casinos do extend their administration futher and go offline as well? What if most amazing crypto casinos went offline as well !? You think that would be a profitable industry?
