What is a good scrypt altcoin to mine that is profitable. I will only have about 100 Mhash.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Question about Neo-Scrypt on: December 30, 2015, 04:31:52 PM
I am thinking of getting a Zues or A2Terminator with my taxes. Can I mine Neo-Scrypt with this kind of miner?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Arduino and Mining on: June 29, 2015, 01:44:57 PM
Hello,
I would like to develop a script miner using an Arduino board. I think it would be economical to continue using this method. My coding professor said that if I want to get everything right, the correct resistance, capacitance, and the right chip, I should use an Arduino board. My question to the community is what type of mining software would I use to mine with this?
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Idea regarding DDoS attacks on: March 10, 2015, 03:55:54 PM
I was thinking for a year, I guess that there has been a way for the network attackers to have hacked into my account and this is how they got the coins off the site. I know that sounds a bit paranoid. However, let me tell you, I got emails from sites such as Facebook, Google, and Yahoo regarding someone having attempted to log into my accounts from outside the USA. I live in the USA and this is not usual for someone to attempt to access my account from outside the USA.

I have recently developed a theory as to how these hackers have gotten the information necessary to log into these accounts. This theory also applies to how the DDoS attackers were able to break into these sites and steal the coins.

My Theory:

When a person does not sign out of his/her account the hacker(s) can retrieve personal information from the user. The hacker then takes a step further and manipulates the system to steal the account holders personal information, or the coins in cases such as DDoS attacks.

I once tried to start a MLM business. I was told at one of the meetings that pertaining to my back office is important information about my business. My business involves money and I would not leave my banks website without signing out of my account, therefore, I should not leave my back office without signing out of my account.

The hackers know the code for the network. The hackers know the sites that are the most popular and would have the most coins. The hackers would not need very much to take and bust through the sites firewall and look around for those users who did not sign out of an account. I do not suppose it would take a hacker too much longer from this point to wipe the site clean of coins. Is this possible?

I am going to be taking better precautions and start signing out of my accounts at each site. If there is a chance my theory is correct, or that I am on the correct path of figuring out how these sites are being hacked, I think everyone in the network should be informed of this and begin taking precautions also.

I hope I posted this in the correct spot. I do not think this post fits anywhere else. I think everyone who uses the BTC network should take better precautions, because this is money we are talking about. These users would not leave a banks website and not log out of their account. Most bank websites have an auto sign out when the page is closed out, or there is a certain amount of time that the page is open and there has been no activity by the user.

If it is something as simple as making these small changes to protect these sites and out investments/hard work in the future then we need to start making these changes and making them now.

Thank you for reading. I am sorry this post was quite long. Any insights from those who know a bit more about Internet and Network security would be greatly appreciated.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Best X13 Miner Win64 on: December 12, 2014, 07:00:49 AM
Hi,
I give up on ASIC and Scrypt. I would like to start mining X13 and ScryptJane. I am looking all around for a miner that will connect my computer to the pool. I downloaded MultiMiner and there is a .dll of something missing from my computer. In fact I am getting this message from a lot of these miners I have downloaded.
I would like some help please.
Thank you in advance,

Hello,
I need help in understanding the rules and regulations of this asset. There are no links in the description. I had an account here at BTCtalk prior to the date in the description.
I do not think the description was too clear. I would like to purchase some of these tokens for holiday gifts. Are they still worth a little something and still in the process of the initial distribution?
Thank you in advance
7  Economy / Games and rounds / Anyone tried this site yet? on: July 29, 2014, 07:46:01 PM
Hello,
Scam Adviser gives this site a 70%. There were no comments on it. I thought I would come here and ask if anyone has tried it. I would have to borrow the minimum deposit.

http://www.bitcoinhyip.org/

I do not want to get taken again like I did when I borrowed to invest in Oil Rig Contractors. At first they seemed legit, they did give me that payout. Now, they are offline.

Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Stacey
8  Bitcoin / Project Development / Miner Development on: July 09, 2014, 05:42:49 PM
I hope this is in the right spot. I am an engineering student and am about to do a project for Student Professional Experience. I am going to develop my own USB miner. I bought these Maxim IC Chips off eBay. The data sheet on the chips can be found here.http://www.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/pdf/73147/MAXIM/MAX3232CSE.html
I hope these will work. I could use any advice other developers can give me. Also, maybe you could give me a rough idea of what each one will do for me.

Thanks

10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Newchg.com on: February 23, 2014, 01:35:31 PM
Hello,
I am having trouble with this trading site. I have some Unicoin to sell. I was going to sell them to the person who wants to buy. I accept this person's offer. However, when I click the link that says BigAl, this site, bitcointalk.org gives me a message saying this member does not exist. Then I clicked the link with my offer and unless I was signed in it did not take me to my profile. I have since deleted my offer.
Can anyone help?
Thank you,
Stacey
11  Economy / Economics / Investing my Coins on: February 02, 2014, 12:43:32 AM
Hi,
I am about to buy some Bitcoin at very small amounts. I am giving up on trying to earn a bitcoin. I would like to know some information on a good site to invest my coins. I would like to have a more of a guarantee the way that VirtaPay has right now. They are currently on hold.
Has anyone heard of Bitvestor.us? I sent 0.04236 to my account and it has yet shown up on my  dashboard. I found the transaction of Blockchain. I guess they are a scam.
I am a total newbie. I do not want to get scammed anymore with these investment sites. Can anyone help?
Thank you in advance,
Apple Annie
12  Bitcoin / Mining support / Help on: September 28, 2013, 07:59:59 PM
I have been frantically trying to figure out what I am doing wrong with getting started. I am trying to mine 4 ASIC block erupters with CGMiner. My computer says that I am bridged, and that my miners are ready to go. I just received a USB hub with a power adapter as well as plug in for the computer. I still get the following message.

you need to install a WINusb driver for AMU device 1:7

Does anyone have any links to where I can find this driver device. Is it on the Microsoft website. I am so nervous about viruses and such off a Google search. My McAfee will not be here until next week.

Thank you
13  Bitcoin / Mining support / Do you still need a special computer? on: September 24, 2013, 01:50:34 AM
Hi,
I just purchased 4 ASIC USB miners. Yes, I know this is barely 1 G/hs, but it is a start. I downloaded and installed the GUI miner software. I keep getting a message there is nothing to mine. Is there something I am doing wrong?
My computer runs at 2 GHz. It runs on an AMD. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you
14  Other / Beginners & Help / No Shares When Mining on: November 15, 2012, 06:14:08 PM
Hi,
I have been mining all day. I have retrieved no shares I do not know what I am doing wrong. I have tried and tried. My speed is a steady 93 khash/s. Is this good or bad? I have only CPU on my computer. I think I should upgrade soon. I was not able to upload my screen shots for some reason. I took some so it might be easier to answer. I hope someone can still help.
Thanks
