62  Other / Politics & Society / Breaking News! European Refugee Crisis Resolved! on: September 11, 2015, 05:43:52 PM
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/saudi-arabia-offers-germany-200-mosques--one-for-every-100-refugees-who-arrived-last-weekend-10495082.html

During the past 7 days, some 20,000 Muslim "refugees" have arrived in Germany. The main issue which these refugees are facing right now is that they can't find enough mosques in Germany, to offer prayer services. And His Highness Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has resolved this issue, by promising to build 200 new mosques in Germany, to offer services to these "refugees".

In the next 3 months, Germany is expected to receive up to 800,000 "refugees". So we can expect His Highness Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to build 8,000 new mosques, for these poor "refugees".

And it must be remembered that in the past 3 years, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has granted refugee status to a total of nine refugees from Syria (out of a total of 13 applications). The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has praised the efforts by the Kingdom, to provide safe shelter for the poor Syrian refugees.
63  Other / Politics & Society / 1915- Turks massacred 3 million X'tians 2015 - Turks trying to exterminate Kurds on: September 10, 2015, 05:36:00 PM
100 years ago, the Turks massacred some 3 million people (mostly Armenians, Anatolian Greeks and Assyrians), as they wanted to establish a racially pure and 100% Muslim state, without any non-Muslim minorities. The western media chose to ignore this ghastly war-crime, as the Catholic-Jewish-Sunni axis rejoiced at the extermination of the Orthodox Christians.

And now, not satisfied with the 100% Muslim state which they have achieved as a result of the 1915 genocides, the Turks have started an all out campaign to exterminate the major ethnic minority group, the Kurds (also Muslim, but unlike the Turks, more secular).

In the past 2-3 weeks, the Turkish army has moved in to Kurdish inhabited cities and villages of eastern Turkey, and have completely blockaded these areas. In just one of the cities (Cizre), more than 30 Kurdish civilians have been massacred by the Turkish army. The situation being prevalent in the other cities is similar, but information is hard to come by because of the blockade.

My question is, will the world just sat by and watch the genocide being committed by the Turks, just like what they did in 1915?

64  Other / Politics & Society / Breivik Massacre was God's Punishment for being critical of Israel on: September 04, 2015, 05:02:19 PM

Jeremy Hoff, an American evangelical who wrote a book on the 2011 terror attacks in Norway by Anders Breivik, raised a firestorm of controversy in the Scandinavian country after saying that the attacks were justified, and that the young people who died deserved to be killed for being too critical of Israel.

Quote
Four years later, Jeremy Hoff, an evangelical pastor at the Los Angeles-based Shepherd of the Hills Church, released a book, entitled 22 July: The Prophecy, in which he justified Breivik's heinous crime, saying that the members of the Norwegian Workers' Youth League (AUF) had become the "enemies of God" for their criticism of Israel and support for Palestine.

I don't know who is more despicable. Breivik, or the pastor who used the killings as a tool to vomit out his pro-Israel agenda.  Angry

The reddish dots represent more than 85% male users, while yellowish dots means that less than 85% of the users are male.

An interactive map can be found here:

The data is actually quite interesting, there are more than 3,000 users in Karachi (Pakistan), where adultery is punishable by death. And there seems to be a few dozen users from North Korea as well!
66  Other / Politics & Society / Media ignores the Turkish massacre of the Kurds, as 770 butchered in a month on: August 22, 2015, 12:15:59 PM
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/199749

Turkey is claiming that most of those who are killed are PKK militants, who are fighting the ISIS barbarians (Turkey's allies) in Northern Syria and Northern Iraq. But ground reports suggests that a majority of those killed are civilians, as evident from the reports of Turkish bombardment of non-Kurdish villages in the recent weeks.

Turkish jets have bombed several Assyrian (Christian) villages in the Kandil region (Northern Iraq). The following villages were affected: Sharanish, Baz, Hayes, Dawoodiya, Barwary Bala, and Margerija. There were several hundreds of Yazidi refugees residing in these villages as well, when they were attacked by the Turks.
68  Other / Politics & Society / ABC News reports that US hostage Kayla Mueller was raped by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi on: August 15, 2015, 06:03:54 AM
Feels bad for her.. She should have avoided going to the Middle-East. Still, doubt remains on her death. The Americans are saying that the ISIS executed her. But according to the ISIS guys, a Jordanian airstrike killed her. Also, her boyfriend (Omar Al Khani) seems to be a shady character. Especially his behavior during the ambush near Aleppo, in which the American was taken hostage by the ISIS looks suspicious.

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has recently signed a presidential decree, banning the return of bodies belonging to the dead Kurdish fighters, who got martyred while fighting the ISIS in Syria. Now the Kurds can't bury their loved ones in Turkey. But at the same time, no such restriction is applicable for the dead Turkish members of the ISIS.

The Indians were using SU-30MKI Flanker fighter jets, which were designed in the 1990s. The RAF used Typhoon FGR4 fighters, and the war-games were held on RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire (United Kingdom).

The results: the Indians beat the British 12-0.

71  Other / Politics & Society / Turkey resumes genocidal campaign, massacres 260 Kurds in aerial bombing on: August 02, 2015, 02:27:16 PM
http://www.telesurtv.net/english/news/Over-260-Kurdish-Fighters-Killed-in-Week-Long-Turkish-Raids-20150801-0008.html

Close to 260 Kurds, most of them civilians (including dozens of children) have been so far killed in massacres conducted by the Islamist regime of Turkey since July 24th. Turkey claims that it was targeting military bases of the PKK, but according to the ground reports, most of the casualties occurred in the village of Zerkel, where PKK was not present.

72  Other / Politics & Society / Turkish jets bomb Kurdish targets in Northern Iraq, in order to help the ISIS on: July 25, 2015, 06:36:36 AM
http://news.yahoo.com/turkish-jets-bomb-pkk-kurdish-rebels-iraq-spokesman-215208343.html

Turkish Air Force jets crossed the border with Iraq yesterday, and bombed the Kurdish targets in the Dohuk Province of Iraqi Kurdistan, in order to help the Islamic State, which is engaged in a fierce battle with the Kurds. The F-16 Fighting Falcon jets (provided by the United States) were used to attack the Kurdish targets. The Kurds have been gaining upper hand against the ISIS for the last several months in Northern Syria and Northern Iraq, and this seems to have prompted the Turks to act against them.

Many grave sins were committed against the native people of America in the name of God.

But the question is that whether his apology is enough to forgive these crimes or not.

When the conquistadors first arrived in the Caribbean Islands, there were 3 million natives living there. After 50 years, there were just 500 of them left.

In Mexico, the population declined from 30 million in 1519, to 1.4 million in 1595.

Peru had a population of 25 million when the conquistadors first arrived. It was reduced to 1 million.

74  Other / Politics & Society / 63% of all the HIV infections in the United States occurs among the Sodomites on: July 03, 2015, 03:49:36 PM
Is this natural selection?

Although gays form just 4% of the US population, they account for 63% of all the new HIV infections. Almost 90% of all the new cases are linked to gay / bisexual men, as more than 80% of the women newly identified with HIV were also infected by bisexual men.

http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/pdf/statistics_basics_factsheet.pdf

So far in the United States, some 311,087 gays have died due to the HIV infection, since the first case was diagnosed in the 1980s. Out of the ~1,200,000 people currently living with HIV in the United States, some 624,000 are gay.

This means that a total of 935,000 HIV infections have occurred among the gays ever since 1980s, out of a total population of 12 million. That represents an incidence rate of 7.8% against the general prevalence rate of 0.4% and a prevalence of <0.1% among heterosexual men.

A former Secret Service special agent who helped bring down Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht will plead guilty to skimming hundreds of thousands of dollars in bitcoin and routing the money to his own accounts, according to federal court documents.

Quote
Bridges accessed Silk Road's systems in January 2013, reset several passwords and transferred about 20,000 bitcoin from the accounts, according to the complaint. He then converted the bitcoin into cash through a Japan-based bitcoin exchange and from there sent the money to the shell company's investment accounts, investigators said. The value of bitcoin in U.S. dollars fluctuates significantly, making it impossible to say what the haul was definitively "worth." But based on conversion rates at the time various transactions were made, federal prosecutors put the value of Bridges' loot at $820,000.

It would be interesting to see what sort of punishment will be given to this guy. Isn't Bridges the same guy who framed the attempt to murder charges against Ross Ullbricht?

When Martti Malmi found Bitcoin in the spring of 2009, he was in his second year at the Helsinki University of Technology. Lanky, with birdlike features, Martti shied away from social contact. He was happiest in his room with his computer, writing code, which he had learned to do at age 12, or hammering away at enemies in online games, while listening to heavy metal music on headphones.

Quote
Despite Martti’s relative lack of programming experience, Satoshi gave him full permission to make changes to the core Bitcoin software on the server where it was stored—something that, to this point, only Satoshi could do. Starting in August, the log of changes to the software showed that Martti was now the main actor. When the next version of Bitcoin, 0.2, was released, Satoshi gave credit for most of the improvements to Martti.

Does anyone know his Profile ID here in Bitcointalk?

Duncan Niederauer is a big name in the Wall Street. He will be able to contribute a lot for our cause.

It is encouraging to see a lot of investments happening in the Bitcoin sector. But still I have a feeling that we are slowly losing the momentum.

Overstock.com, Inc., the e-commerce retailer, became the first company to solicit qualified institutional buyers in a digital corporate bond that will trade using the bitcoin block chain. This development is part of Overstock’s larger cryptofinance initiative known as Medici. “The cryptorevolution has arrived on Wall Street,” said Overstock.com CEO Patrick M. Byrne. “We’re making it official by offering the world’s first ‘cryptosecurity.’” Byrne defined a cryptosecurity as a security that trades on a cryptographically-protected distributed ledger. Cryptosecurity buyers will be able to track their ownership on the bitcoin block chain.

Another impressive initiative from Patrick M. Byrne. Seriously, we owe a lot to this guy.
