1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Excel macro for bitfinex lending calculation on: August 30, 2017, 05:38:33 AM
Hi, I am looking for some sources where I can find information regarding the following:

I want to use an excel sheet for calculation of my daily earnings from lending BTC, US$, etc on Bitfinex for tax calculations.
Bitfinex already offers a CSV Report for every day, but I need to add the specific crypto prices for each day.
The first idea was to do it with a macro, but doesn't it seem better to use an API-key to retrieve the report and the prices?

Do you think that is possible, I have some programming skills but not with web-based things and also don't know where to start.
Or maybe something like this already exists?

(please move if in the wrong forum)

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ETC does not show up in jaxx wallet on: August 09, 2017, 08:03:01 AM

The transaction also showing up on gastracker.io and also on myetherwallet.com if I import the private key from jaxx (and use Network Epool.io).

So what up here ?
3  Bitcoin / Wallet software / blockchain.info wallet app "sweep" does send balance to first address in wallet? on: October 30, 2013, 05:50:11 PM
Hello,

recently I played a bit with paper wallets and the way to spend the balance stored there.
Due to the lack of a webcam I used the android app from blockchain.info for scanning the private key.

The app offers to "sweep the balance" if you are scanning a new private key.
So far so good, but there is no way to tell where to send after you pressed OK.
In my case it used the first address in my wallet, which is only a watch-only one without the privkey!

Fortunately it is the one of my Qt-client, so I have that key, but what if I had some other adresses in my wallet?
what is the sense of sending to addresses where the privkey is unknown to blockchain wallet?

7  Economy / Auctions / [WTS] Avalon Asic single Module from #2 unit, 27+ GH/s from Germany on: August 04, 2013, 03:08:40 PM
Because of a defective controller board I decided to sell my Avalon Batch #2 unit because I didn't have the time and effort to get a new board.
To be clear, it's not a defective wrt703 router because the problem also exists if I connect the Avalon to a Raspberry Pie.
It is always hashing for a short time and the it produces USB errors.

So this auction is for current avalon owners to upgrade to a 4 modules unit (all #3 avalons have a spare slot in case and controller).

The unit was operating at 82+ GH/s with 350+ MHz without problems until the USB problems occured.

Because I paid 75 BTC for the whole unit, starting bid for one module is 25 BTC.
If someone wants to buy all 3 modules, I will sell the whole unit including all components.

Auctions ends in 2 days, 18:00 UTC, for questions please PM me.
Shipping is from Germany without vat into the EU.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / changing 10,000 bqc -> 10,000 fc on: April 18, 2013, 07:28:10 AM
Because my amount of bqc is still higher than fc, I want to even it out a bit.
Therefore I want to give anybody 10,000 bqc (or maybee other amount) for the same amount of fc.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / All Port80 Litecoinpools on: April 15, 2013, 07:01:05 AM
Hi,

I am getting very frustrated to find a LTC Pool which allows Port 80 mining behind proxy AND is not using only half of my GPU because of lot of stale shares.
This pools I tried so far:

Pool-X.eu
give-me-ltc.com
ozcoin.net
notroll.in

all of the pools worked perfectly until 2-3 weeks and then started to produce lot of stale shares with GPU loads going up and down. I reproduced it on a second miner which is not behind proxy, though the drops in load are much smaller there.

So what happend the last weeks ? (Mining LTC nearly since start of the year without Problem so far..)

- Too many new users?
- Ddos attacks to all pools?

The only Pool I am not getting these stales are notroll....  Embarrassed But we know the situation, so thats not an option atm..

(I also tried wemineltc, but though they are offer Port 80 now, it seems that I can't use stratum over the squid proxy, only http.

So does anyone know more Pools I could try that offer Port 80?

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Selling 10000 BQC for BTC on: April 14, 2013, 07:14:04 PM

15  Bitcoin / Mining / Mining behind proxy that requires authentication. Here is how it works on: April 09, 2013, 01:25:57 PM
Hi,

always had trouble mining behind a proxy which requires authentication, eg. domainuser and password?

Here is the way I did it:
Using cntlm authentication proxy: http://cntlm.sourceforge.net/

The proxy installs as a servive, which authenticates to the normal domain proxy and then offers a proxy port which does not need authentication.
Installed on my mining machine, it works perfectly.

1. Download cntlm from http://cntlm.sourceforge.net/
2. Unpack to a temporary directory
3. Edit the cntlm.ini to set your proxy, port and username /password
4. Use the following commands in a batch file to install as a service

Code:
set DIR=C:\Progra~1\Cntlm
if not exist "%DIR%" md "%DIR%"
copy /Y cntlm.exe "%DIR%"
if not exist "%DIR%\cntlm.ini" copy /Y cntlm.ini "%DIR%"
copy /Y cygrunsrv.exe "%DIR%"
copy /Y cygwin1.dll "%DIR%"
copy /Y uninstall.bat "%DIR%"
"%DIR%\cygrunsrv.exe" -R cntlm 2>NUL
"%DIR%\cygrunsrv.exe" -I cntlm -s KILL -t auto -p "%DIR%\cntlm.exe" -d "Cntlm Authentication Proxy" -f "HTTP Accelerator" -a "-f -c %DIR%\cntlm.ini"
pause

5. start the service and connect your miner to your pool via proxy localhost:3128 (or whatever port you set in the cntlm.ini)

If it works for you, I would be glad about some donation  Smiley

btw: also works with google drive this way, as the client does not support authentication..

Remark: For security reason, do not use your domainpassword in the .ini file, use cntlm -H to create a hash of it instead and then use parameter 'PassNTLMv2' instead of 'Password'
16  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / 5970 dead? on: March 05, 2013, 09:00:31 AM
Hi, I am running atm a mainboard with a 5870 and win 7 without problems.

Now I got a used 5970 and wanted to test it. Win7 and catalyst 13.1 regognized it correctly but if I try to run cgminer,
the screen went shortly dark and comes back up with the notification "Display Driver Stopped Responding and has Recovered"
I read that this may be a common win 7 error, but as my 5870 is running OK, I don't know if I should try maybee with Linux or if the card is surely dead.. (PSU is 700W, so that should be OK)

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why does this board gets fills up with buying / selling XRP...... on: March 01, 2013, 10:43:29 AM
... when we have a marketplace /currency exchange board?

I thought this board is for the general / technical information about alternate cryptocurrencies
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Solo mining with QT-Client on: February 27, 2013, 07:22:44 AM
I have a question about solo mining on QT-Client, every time a block is found it ads up in the wallet with a new address.
So do I have to backup the wallet more regulary than with normal transaction ?
19  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / 5870 very low hasrate compared to scrypt (LTC) on: February 22, 2013, 09:58:35 AM
Hi,

while I tried to test my 5870 on BTC, I am only getting about 3 MH/s at only 50% GPU load with cgminer 2.10.3

while I am getting about 400 kH/s while I am mining LTC (using --scrypt parameter)

settings are more or less default, thats only using -I 19 as parameter (but also tried some other parameters lik e -g 10, --shaders 1600, etc)

Any Ideas?
20  Other / Beginners & Help / How secure is the future? on: January 03, 2013, 01:46:28 PM
I was wondering with the momentary increase in calculation power (asic's) wouldnt it be possible in the future to guess private keys out of the public keys in the blockchain?
So that one could look for an adress wich possibly has an high amount of coins and try to brute-force a wallet with that coins "in" it?

Think someone could tell me why that is impossible..
