1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Anyone running any Innosilicon A10 5GB ? on: October 18, 2020, 08:43:26 AM
Had a few of these for a while now and they have been fine averaging the advertised 500MH each at the pool.

As you know, when the DAG changes they start again with the tuning and it takes around an hour to get back up to normal speed.

However on the last DAG change the speed on them all has plummeted and they are only getting around 430MH.

Wondering if anyone else has observed this.  I have machines at 2 locations which sort of rules out it being an issue at my end.
2  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] [UK ONLY] Innosilicon A10 Pro 5gb ETH Master (5x Available) on: September 13, 2020, 11:51:11 AM
These are 1 month old and provide the advertised hashrate of 500MH at the pool, they are the 5GB versions so are good until around October 2022, all updated to the latest firmware

I am happy to escrow the sale through SebastianJu one of the longest serving forum escrows who I have used multiple times over the years.

Payment by Cash or BTC/ETH at Coinbase Rate.

You are welcome to come and view the machines working, I am in Lancashire, pay and then take it/them away.

Current best price online with the UK resellers is £4500 but I wouldn't trust their in stock claims, Cheapest EU Reseller is £4250, cheapest US/China reseller is £3600 and then add 20% import duty and a weeks shipping, plus all the reseller stock is reconditioned units, these were brand new, the next batch from Innosilicon is not until November 15th.

Looking for around £3750 each, but make me an offer, the more you want the cheaper I will go and if you want all 5 I will personally deliver them to you anywhere in the mainland UK.

As per the title I do not wish to ship these abroad, sorry but have had bad experiences in the past doing this.

3  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] KNC Titan, 6 Cubes, 340MH. [UK Preferred] on: March 23, 2017, 05:51:10 PM
For sale is my KNC Titan.

This was one of the very first delivered and arrived with several bad dies, KNC compromised and let me send only one cube back that only had 1 die working, and then sent me 3 replacement ones to make up for the shortfall in hash, so it has ended up as a 6 cube machine running at 340MH

You could get more speed out of this, I used to rent it out on MRR so for stability I just disabled some of the more temperamental dies and left it as it was, and I've seen that people have success in tinkering with re-pasting also there is a user called lightfoot on these forums who can now fix a lot of problems.

It has the paid for version of GenTarkins firmware installed which keeps the machine stable, though I have never bothered with the EnergySaver mode.

I'd prefer to sell this in the UK but at the end of the day it needs to go so offers will be entertained.

If you require power supplies I have plenty, currently using 2x EVGA 1300's with custom cables on most of the cubes.

You are welcome to come and view the machine working, and I have no problem with escrow (I have used both SebastianJu / OgNasty on multiple occasions)

Can't find a recent one for sale, so no idea on price, make me an offer either in the thread or by PM.

Now that was either a big spike or my charts went haywire :-)

And now they are all being sold again.

Someone's trading bot is about to get a stern telling off I think
5  Economy / Web Wallets / Blockchain.info, please fix your fee calculator on: March 07, 2017, 05:48:49 PM
With the current transaction backlog, sending urgent transactions is currently (almost) impossible on your site.

You give no indication of the transaction size so I can't work out what fee to put myself, all I can do is take what you recommend, add some to it, ignore the warning that there is 'no need to spend this much' and then still sit waiting for 4+ hours for the damn thing to confirm.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr  Sad

Here endeth the rant.
6  Other / Meta / Possible Solution To Current Malware Spam ? on: August 10, 2015, 03:28:56 PM
I notice in the modlog that a huge amount of the recent ones have been user 344575, as he lures a victim in another account becomes compromised and a new wave starts

Would a solution not be to automate the temp banning for a day or two of users when over x amount of their recent posts have been deleted over y time, this would stop the constant stream of them and take the workload off the mods, the temp ban can then be assessed by the admins ?

As of now there are 76 deletions on this account, that's maybe 73 that didn't need to be done if using 3 deletions in a row, or 3 in 24 hours as examples.
7  Other / Meta / Similar Usernames Attempting To Scam - Defaults Please Tag on: August 08, 2015, 07:06:10 PM
Not a request to do something about it at an admin level, I appreciate it's a losing battle, more an idea for a helpful thread to report them so people on default trust can watch the thread and tag them.

If they post in a thread then the option is there to report to a moderator which I would do, same with PM's but often I see a post where a user says they have received one, they may or may not have reported it so as a just in case.  I could leave trust but given the forums default being to hide untrusted feedback there's not much point.

Proof that the codes are valid is below

9  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 2x KNC Neptune. [UK] on: January 29, 2015, 01:11:35 PM
As I now have lots of equipment hosted overseas I've decided to close down my UK mining operation, at the moment I'm undecided whether to ship these machines abroad to my host or just sell them so seeing if there is any interest.

4x Spondoolies SP30 SOLD

2x KNC Neptune
My original one

My bonus machine that arrived yesterday, still in the box

If you require PSU's I have some EVGA 1300's, my exising neptune has custom cables from Shakmods, the new machine comes with Y-Cables from KNC

I would prefer not to ship them abroad so offers from UK buyers will likely take priority

Payment can be made by Bitcoin, Bank Transfer or Cash.

You are welcome to come and view the machines working, I am in Lancashire, pay at the time and take them away.

Escrow is fine through either squall1066 or OgNasty both of whom I have used before and have excellent reputations on the forum.

Offer away Smiley
10  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD] 6x Spondoolies SP10, USA, From $250 each + Shipping on: January 25, 2015, 10:34:50 AM
I have 6x SP10's that are currently located at Michigan Colocation.

I would prefer to sell them all to one person to make things simpler and would take $1500 which is $250 each. If there is no interest for them all I will sell them individually at $275.

Because I am in the UK I can't organise the shipping, so you will need to pay for that yourself and then send me the shipping labels, my host will then pack them up attach your labels and ship them.  If you want to get an idea of shipping costs I think the boxes are 63x56x14cm and 14Kg each but I will confim that beforehand.

Escrow is fine through either squall1066 or OgNasty both of whom I have dealt with before and have excellent reputations on the forum.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Problem compiling with all autogen.sh type wallets. on: January 01, 2015, 11:01:59 PM
I decided to re-purpose one of my old mining machines to run as a server for all the coin daemons.

It's running Ubuntu 14.10 and I've compiled lots of normal qt wallets and daemons that use this usual method
Code:
Daemon
make -f makefile.unix USE_UNPNP=-

QT
qmake "USE_UNPNP=-"
make

However I have not been able to get a single one of these  types to work and I've tried about 10 different coins
Code:
./autogen.sh
./configure
make

What happens is that everything runs through fine, but at the end there is no bitcoind or bitcoin-qt

I've scoured the web but not managed to come across anyone with the same problem. I've checked numerous times that all the required packages are there,  I've looked through the config.log that isn't showing any serious errors.

I've done a manual install of the Berkley 4.8 DB and by using the following command
Code:
./configure CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.8/include -O2" LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.8/lib"

This has made a little progress, the bitcoind and the bitcoin-qt files are now appearing in the coin-name/src directory but I can't click to run them as it appears they are not executable.  They will however run from the terminal.

I presumed that both files would end up in the coin-name directory, so it appears like it's failing to do something at the end.

Anybody any clues ?

13  Economy / Games and rounds / [CLOSED] [RAFFLE] New Bitmain S4 (Batch 2). 0.1BTC for a 1/40 Chance on: October 02, 2014, 10:42:35 PM
RAFFLE
Antminer S4, Batch 2, Shipping direct from Bitmain October 10th onwards

Introduction
There is no doubting that the S4 is a great machine, sadly it's price makes it a tough buy for a lot of people.  So I figure I would offer a raffle with decent odds and a low price.

Pricing
Each ticket is BTC0.1 and you may buy as many as you like until we reach the limit of 40 tickets.

How To Pay
Send BTC0.1 for each ticket you want to buy to the following address
1HzZyTVni8UuHUdvEtRJ5cJXwmJVgDzDeE
Once the transaction has been sent please post in this thread (everything will be public), ensure that you send from an address you can sign a message with in case of disputes
You can check the address below before sending to confirm that the list is not full, once there is BTC4 no more entries will be accepted.
https://blockchain.info/address/1HzZyTVni8UuHUdvEtRJ5cJXwmJVgDzDeE

What's In It For You ?
Not much to be honest, the miner is currently BTC3.304 and shipping is approx BTC0.467 so if everything stays the same I might make BTC0.2, if the value of BTC falls I might actually lose.  But I'm in a good mood, I want to see if this is a good idea and build a reputation for holding them if there is interest.

Why Should I Trust You ?
I've been on the forums for quite and while and done a few trades, but quite frankly you shouldn't trust anyone.  squall1066 has agreed to act as escrow on this offer and will hold the sum of BTC6.
https://blockchain.info/tx/6858cdbc97c4eea20f8e0a2f7e70e662791847ed43e6a15b1bde19499754e7df
If something goes wrong he will distribute BTC5 back to all the entrants so not only will get your coins back you'll actually make a profit and he will keep the remaining BTC1 for any work involved.  I hope this will provide enough confidence for people to enter.

Is Shipping Included ?
Yes up to a value of BTC0.5, if it costs more then you will need to pay the extra. You will be responsible for any import charges and duties or fees that may be payable.

What happens if Bitmain sell out before all the tickets are bought ?
All payments will be refunded

How Will The Draw Be Made ?
I intend to use a third party service random.org, you can read about how it works here... http://www.random.org/draws/
Once the draw is made, the result will be posted here, you will also be able to check on their site that you were entered correctly.

When Will The Draw Be Made ?
As soon as all 40 tickets are sold.

Woohoo I Won, What Now ?
I will ask you to sign a message from your bitcoin address confirming your identity, get your shipping details (and payment for the extra if shipping is over BTC0.5) and place the order on your behalf. Any communication from Bitmain eg Tracking Ref will be forwarded on to you.

I've probably forgotten things, like I say this is a trial to see how it goes. So if there is anything I've overlooked please ask and I will clarify in this post.
14  Economy / Computer hardware / [FREE] Avalon Batch #3, 110GH. [UK, COLLECTION ONLY] on: September 03, 2014, 10:18:19 AM
As I was packing up some of my Antminer S1's to ship, I noticed my old Avalon sat in the corner.

It will burn a lot more in electric that it will mine so if you pay for your power then it's pointless.

This thing weighs a ton, I have nothing to pack it in and no desire to ship it.

I'm located in Lancashire so if you want it AND you can collect it, you can have it Smiley

Reply in the thread, PM's will be ignored.

15  Other / Meta / Limit the marketplace to users with over xxx activity. on: August 26, 2014, 05:49:38 PM
I appreciate that the mods don't have the time to remove the scam posts from these sections, but it would sure reduce the clutter and volume of them if users needed a minimum activity level before being allowed to post.

It's common amongst many of the other forums I browse, and it's already included in the forum software so it's not even a lot of work to implement.
16  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD] 17x Bitmain Antminer S1's [£75 UK ONLY] [0/17 Remaining] on: August 22, 2014, 09:36:00 PM
The last of my S1's need to go to make room for new hardware arriving shortly.

They all run fine, and produce around 3.3TH in total, some could be overclocked more.

Can be sold with or without PSU's (Mainly powered by EVGA 1300's as they can run 3 machines overclocked) All PSU's sold

I've used OgNasty and SebastianJu in the past for escrow and both have been excellent, so either of them would be acceptable.

I'm located in Lancashire, if you want to collect them and pay at the time that is no problem.

BTC, Cash or Bank Transfer can be accepted.

Make me an offer Smiley

17  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD] 2x Antminer S1 & Dell Server PSU. 0.75BTC. 0/5 Sets Available (UK ONLY) on: May 27, 2014, 11:20:58 AM
I need to make space for new equipment that is arriving shortly so looking to sell off some of my Antminers. I will be selling 10 machines and 5 PSU's as pairs, so 2x Antminers and a PSU with all cables ready to plug in and mine.

They have been run at 375mhz which gives 191GH each, 382GH total, both run fine on the Dell PSU's fitted with sidehacks boards and cables.

Looking for BTC0.75 for each set (or equivalent bitstamp price for bank transfer/cash), this includes postage.  I think it's a reasonable price as it's cheaper than the machines cost from Bitmain, no 20% import duty and fees and you get a free PSU, but if you want to haggle go ahead the more you want the more I am likely to deal Smiley

Collection is fine, and you can pay when you pick them up, I'm located in Lancashire. I will NOT send outside the UK.

No problem with escrow you pay the fees, I've used SebastianJu in the past or squall1066 is acceptable.

Lease Information

All speeds quoted are based on long term bitcoin mining speeds at the pool and are rounded down to allow a little extra.  Please note that if you are mining coins with faster block times you may see slightly slower speeds, this is normal as stale and rejected shares increase and will apply to all hardware.  It can take up to 5 minutes from the lease starting for the speed to stabilise as the pool adjusts the difficulty levels, if your pool allows it use at least 256 difficulty.

Please ensure you set MULTIPLE pools. Because the rigs mine exclusively for you, if your pool goes down and you only have one set then the machine will be idle and there is nothing I can do.  This is especially important with new coins as they tend to get hammered and crash frequently. I'd suggest one of the main BTC pools (guild, ghash, slush etc) as the last on your list then at least you will always get something.

My rigs are very stable some with uptimes of several months, but nothing is ever perfect, I keep an active eye on any leases and will try to let you know by email if I spot something wrong.  In the event of any downtime which is my fault you will receive double what you lost.  So if a rig is down for an hour I will add 2 hours or if you prefer you can request a refund.

Most rigs are located in my own air conditioned server room here in the UK apart from the Spondoolies machines which are hosted at a professional data center in the USA. All are monitored with CGRemote, if a machine goes offline it sends a message to my phone and plays a siren loud enough to wake me up if asleep Smiley

My aim is to offer good rigs at reasonable prices with excellent service so people keep coming back, rehires get a 2% discount.

I am usually around from 09:00 to 23:00 UK time, if you have questions or there are any problems just send me a PM or send me a message in the chat on Leaserigs site
19  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] PCI-E 1x-16x 24cm Powered Risers, Good Quality (UK/EU, 44/50 LEFT) on: January 11, 2014, 03:50:01 PM
As I needed quite a few to consolidate my rigs into fewer machines and they seemed to be really hard to get hold of I bought a batch from China.

Whilst there were many types I settled on the ones pictured below because they have the capicitors for better power and the molex cables are the same length making it better for cable management and they have multiple power wires.

1x -> 16x cables can be used in any size pci-e slots so easier than buying different types of cables.
