Ok, it is final. I am getting a miner. But now, I need to know which one I should get. I am getting the BFL Jalapeno or a USB Miner. Here are the pros and cons of each: BFL: Pros: - 5Gh/s
- Only $275
- Same price as USB miner, more value
Cons: - Arrives LOTS later
- Uses more power
- Not as space Efficient(compared to the USB
- Doesn't have share notification light
USB: Pros: - Space Efficient
- LED light
- Arrives day after I order it
Cons: - Much less value
- You need to buy 50 unless you are in a group buy
- Fragile
Thanks for the advice! Anyone that says 'You will not make a profit' is going to get removed.

Ok, I saw this article. I have a list of questions, here they are: - 1. It says they are shipping now, and I want to get my hand on one. If I order on Monday next week, about when will my order arrive?
- 2. What will the difficulty be?
In a year, what will the difficulty be about? - 3. Will it be profitable? And for how long?
I used this calculator and with a difficulty of 20000000.0 and the rate at 100.00/BTC. It seems profitable, (My definition of 'profitable' is about 400.00 a month), how long will it remain like this?
I am in a rush now, so I will add more in an hour. Be right Back!

Ok, I want to start mining and get about 500khash/s What is an average Hash per second for an averg=age miner? I keep seeing people saying: 'Yay! I am getting my 500Mhash/s miner tomorrow' but in other places that seems low. Then I see these 5GHash/s miners from BFL. What is an average hash rate for a miner? Thank You! Also, look here please! I want to start mining but have no idea where to start. (No 'You wont make money comments) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=204439.0

I am looking to start mining. Any tips and or advice?
OK, so I have a stock Toshiba Satellite laptop except for 8GB ram. My graphics card is an AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics. On average, I get 600khash/s. I would like to spend no more than $50. I have 0.01 bit coins so unfortunately that is not a viable spending option. I would rather not overclock. I would like it so at any time I could change over to Litecoin or another currency.
Please, only positive support. I can provide other information if needed. Thanks!

I, like many others, am sick of all the 'Reputation Threads' flooding the Off-Topic board. It floods the stuff that people actually read there. This is why I propose we make a new Child Board of off topic or find another way to clear up the clutter of the Off Topic Board. Reputation threads sometimes are useful, but sometimes make you suspicious of the person making them. Why stress that you are so trust worthy, and make a whole topic about it? Either this or we find another way to solve this issue.
Another idea I had was each user would have a topic, only listed on their profile for the use of a reputation thread.
Please answer the poll above, and post any Ideas (or just a +1) below!
Best regards, HeroC

I cut off the title because, I don't like long titles. There are many things that I want to put in my signature, but because of the three line rule, I cannot add as much as I would like. This is why I am asking if there is a website that allows you to do the following. You will be able to add custom fields as needed, and have your own short links (like example.com/heroc). The fields built in (like BTC, LTC, NMC, etc) would have a button that shows the QR code and the balance of the address. It would be very customizable, like being able to add your own logo and background, color, etc. I made a quick sketch of it in image 1. The BM is a custom field, so there is no button. When you press the button, image 2 pops up next to it. The backed would be similar the WordPress layout. Note, I am not creating this site, nor are paying anyone to do it. I am just putting the idea out there, and if anyone knows a site, let me know. If you want to develop this, be by guest! (I would be very happy if you gave me credit for the idea, and part of the profit you make.) I can do and or help with the administration work if you want! Here are the images: Image 1: Image 2: New Ideas, and feedback: No new ones so far.

I am thinking of buying bitcoins. What I want to know is, what services to you reccomend to use? MtGox and bitinstant? Bitstamp? What should I use. I am also thinking when I have enough I might use a bot. Taking that into account, what is my best way?
TIA

I am looking for a 1 BTC loan. I am going to do an experiment with pyramining. A am going to send 1btc to a new account and address, and see how long it takes to get back, and how much extra is generated. You get the 1 BTC back when It is returned to me, and I ask to keep whatever extra is generated (not the entire sum). If you have any questions, feel free to PM me! I will tell you the address to send it to, and the pyramining address in a PM if you accept. Thanks in advanced! Note: I cannot you will get the full return, but if not, you can have whatever it generates. Note 2: This is my first trade, so if you are looking for good rep, I have none. (But I also have no BAD rep, so.....) --HeroC If you want you can still take the loan, but I didn't realize it would take 2 years to get a return. It will also take more than 2 years to get your principal back.

I am currently using MultiBit. I want a change, and am considering Armory. If there are any other good clients, please list their specifications here. I appreciate any help/advice you can give! I want one with a good GUI, advanced features, and can import/export private keys.
Thanks!

Post how you found out about BTC. For example: 'I was on the Aether mine craft mod's homepage and there was a donate button.' You can include any other information you want; images, transaction records, links, etc. I will Put the most bizarre (true) stories here. (In no specific order) 1. A couple of months ago, I was looking at ebay to look at copper bullion since I collect them as art. I saw one that said "Bitcoin". At first I thought it was a mint, or an alternative bullion currency like Lakota/AOCS. I Googled it and haven't stopped reading since.
2. Good start, but we can do better!

I am trying to add an HTML script to my signature. ( iFrame) I do script here but it ends up getting rid of the HTML tag. Do i need permission for this or am I doing something wrong? I have seen someone else do it, but it isn't working for me.

I am wondering if there is a client that allows more than one wallet for each Currency, and has multi-currency support. Like MultiBit Client only It allows BTC, LTC, NMC, PPC, TRC, FRC, and other Currency's. It allows you to import old addresses to. Let me know if you know one!
