I am looking to start mining. Any tips and or advice?

OK, so I have a stock Toshiba Satellite laptop except for 8GB ram.  My graphics card is an AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics.  On average, I get 600khash/s. I would like to spend  no more than $50.  I have 0.01 bit coins so unfortunately that is not a viable spending option.  I would rather not overclock.  I would like it so at any time I could change over to Litecoin or another currency.

Please, only positive support. I can provide other information if needed.  Thanks!
Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Im not sure i Understand what your asking but I'll give it a go.

You can use Btc-e.com to exchange BTC for Litecoin and other Crypto Currency. Also for and easy change over to mining Ltc from Btc with you equipment, I would say use Gui Miner --scrypt version. It allows you to mine Litecoin using your GPU, its a Graphic User Interface for Cgminer and Reaper. Very simple to use.

Hope this helped,
