41  Economy / Digital goods / Buying 1 Windows/Linux VPS ~/5$ on: October 17, 2017, 02:56:23 PM
Looking to buy a windows/linux VPS, i'm looking to pay around 5-10$, i can go first, and pay with bitcoin/eth.

I am NOT interested in any cracked vpses, please only offer me legitimate VPSes, of which you actually own the hardware, or rented them.

Minimum specs; I am looking for ~1gb of RAM minimum. as for the processor, i don't really care that much.

Please PM me with your offers, looking to buy from a minimum of Full member, unless you have some kind of trust. Thanks.
42  Other / New forum software / Tagging / Mentioning in new forum ? @Example on: October 14, 2017, 10:40:03 AM
Will this be a feature in the new forum?

For example getting a ping if someone @AdolfinWolf'd you?

If not, it might be good ro reconsider adding it, since it really helps keeping certain discussions alive.

As of now, there is no way to know if someone mentioned you,  other then to check your post / thread, which is becoming a bit of a hassle if you post frequently.

Is there any way we can see all the new features being added to the forum aswell?
43  Other / Meta / How are certain rules enforced? on: October 08, 2017, 06:18:42 PM
I was wondering if there is some explanation on what the consequences are of breaking certain rules.

It seems that there is some kind of "gap" between the rules and the consequences (ban times), which leave some people wondering why/what happend, and whether or not they are perm banned, or temp banned.

For example this guy, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2248279.msg22725475#msg22725475

Are you permanently banned after copy-pasting, or not?

45  Economy / Service Discussion / Decentralized Ethereum Mixer? on: September 11, 2017, 06:36:15 PM
I was wondering if there is something like a decentralized Ethereum / Bitcoin mixer.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4emy1w/decentralized_bitcoinmixer/

I know that there were alot of plans for something like this, but i don't think it has ever happend has it?

I've found a few projects on ethereum based on smart contracts here and there, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1711920.0

But they seem to all be dead. Am i right?
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / XRP - Ripple Currently being sued for 1 BILLION? on: September 10, 2017, 02:35:31 PM
Quote
Ripple is currently being sued by R3,  because their contract has been wrongfully terminated
"In September 2016, the two companies entered an agreement giving R3 the right to purchase up to 5 billion XRPs for $0.0085 per unit until September 2019, according to a lawsuit filed by R3 in the Delaware Chancery Court on Friday. "
Which is calculated,

0.20$ a share x 5 billion = 1Billion$, with a profit of 1B$ - 42.5Million$ (0.0085$ a share x 5 billion) = 957.5 million dollars pure profit.

How is this going to affect XRP's price?

I see that there is a new moderator for the Beginners & Help section, with zero posts? What's up with that?

50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / RED PULSE TOKEN (RPX) on: August 29, 2017, 07:21:22 PM
What do you guys think about this ICO? It looks very small (15MIL$), and the idea seems pretty promising. Their team is very experienced, by the looks of.
Alot of potential in my opinion to easily grow to a 100 million marketcap, which would mean x10 or so.?

See, https://coin.red-pulse.com/

52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / [LBC] Future of LBRY Credits? on: August 29, 2017, 01:45:12 PM
I was curious what you guys were thinking about library credits, It currently has ~20mil marketcap (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/library-credit/)

The token is all about content freedom, and the sharing of it. They want to represent themselves as the decentralized ""youtube"". https://lbry.io/

With the current youtube crisis that is going on, ( no adrev, youtube censoring political or supposedly ""racist"" video's.) I feel like a coin like this could really boom.

Is this something that could blow up? What do you think?

54  Other / Beginners & Help / Am i able to find a bitcoin adress if i only partially have the numbers of it? on: August 18, 2017, 07:19:32 PM
As title states. I am looking for a wallet from a guy, and i only have lets say the first 5 cyphers/letters, and the last 5. Is there any index which lists these adresses or something like that?

The adress has balance in it.

I'd figure that there might be a tool for that which does these things?

Finding for example all the adresses with those first 5 letters, and then show the balance of those?

I also know the exact time of the TX being broadcasted, if that helps anything.
How do i look this up? Thanks.

For example this one,

August 16th, 12:34 PM, First 5 numbers are 18UNFu********wZpF6KY
55  Other / Beginners & Help / Using Poloniex just for processing bitcoin transactions? on: July 18, 2017, 10:31:15 AM
So i was wondering if this was allowed.

Poloniex only charges 0.0001BTC per tx, and it usually confirms in the next block, which is pretty fast considering i'm only paying 0.0001BTC.

thus not only is it decent for trading, but it could be used to sent tx's extremely fast with low fees aswell.

I know that there are some trading/gambling sites which wants you to trade 80% or so of your total deposit before you can withdraw again, but this doesn't seem the case with poloniex.
Do they have any rules against this or is it allowed to do?

What are the disadvantages of doing this? ( Ofcourse i know polo has risks and that some people consider it a scam, and that i not actually "own" my bitcoin in their wallet, but is there anything else i'm missing?)

56  Other / Beginners & Help / How to find back an already confirmed transaction. on: July 09, 2017, 02:06:40 PM
Hi.

Is it possible to find back a transaction which has already been confirmed if you know the exact amount spent in the TX?

Lets say i transacted 123.456,789 bitcoins in one transaction in for example 2013.

Is there any way i can see all/the TX which had 123.456,789 bitcoins exactly being sent to an adress, in that specific year or just in general?

I was guessing that there might be a site somewhere which does this..?
57  Economy / Micro Earnings / BEWARE OF ANY "ROCKET" Faucet. on: June 29, 2017, 11:03:35 AM
I would like everyone to be aware when using any faucets from "giwrg0s1" https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=900845 that it might be a complete scam.

As you can see, he already has red trust, he is operating faucets with extremely high withdraw thresholds, removes every critical question he gets, and alot of people are calling him out for being a scammer.

For some reason there are still alot of people using his faucets, I am just warning you that the chances of getting paid are very low, and that you should reconsider putting your time and efforts into that site.

He was a ponzi operator previously aswell, if that doesn't tell you enough, i don't know what does.

If anyone has been paid by him, let me know, and i'll remove this thread.

60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Will there be a flippening? on: June 12, 2017, 02:24:43 PM
The last couple days, the price of ETH went through the roof, due to china having interest in the token, and alot of other big companies and banks aswell.

ETH is currently nearing the marketcap, and if it continues like this, it will pass bitcoin's marketcap before august 1st.

What will happen then? Do you guys think there is going to be a flippening? Will eth take over the role of bitcoin?
