42  Bitcoin / Meetups / Oxford UK, anyone interested? on: August 22, 2013, 11:40:04 PM
Just wondered if there was any interest in an Oxford meet up. I don't think it would have to be just bitcoin as I am pretty sure there is a big alt-coin following here too.

Would love to get a monthly thing started, even if it was just a few people to begin with.

I know I have no trust as yet but everyone has to start somewhere. I am more than happy to use an escrow service. I would recommend John K as I have used him before but if you have a preferred Escrow service I will consider it. You can also just use BitMit if you want.

Please consider following me on Twitter and Facebook as i will release time sensitive offers through those channels. Smiley

Any questions please post them here.

45  Bitcoin / Project Development / Bitcoin Shop Website Builder on: August 21, 2013, 12:45:00 PM
Hi

I have got a friend building a website for me now but am looking at other options too.

Are there any website packages where you get a template and can modify it as you need?

I would need to accept Bitcoin as well as card payments. I am not sure about bank transfers and paypal seems loaded with potential problems.

I will be selling Bitcoins in digital and physical form.

I will also be selling different Bitcoin related merchandise.

Any help on this will be appreciated. Thanks

I'm not the organiser or involved at all but interested to meet up with some forum faces. Smiley

Sorry if this is the wrong section, please feel free to move it.

Where have the three quick links gone from the top of the forum? The Show New Replies To Posts button was basically how i navigated around.

Is this permanent and if so can i be the first to say please change it back. Smiley

51  Economy / Services / Buy anything with BTC through me. :) on: July 30, 2013, 01:21:59 PM
Hi

I was looking into ways of buying things from the Internet with BTC and it seems that services like Btc4amazon are doing quite well. Problem is that they are going to all the trouble of setting up the site and the  bank accounts are getting closed.

I am happy to offer the same service. I expect to start small first of all as I build up trust but that's fine by me.

If anyone is interested I will do the first few purchases for a non profit basis. As long as I cover my costs I am happy.

Hit me up with a PM or post in the thread if you want and let's see if anyone is interested. The way it will work is you let me know what you want, I will buy it from the site you found it and have it delivered to you. Bitcoins will ideally be held in escrow. (This will incur a small fee from the escrow service) As soon as it is confirmed delivered the BTC will be released to me. Very simple. Smiley

Any comments or questions please post below.

54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Using bit address.org on: April 11, 2013, 07:47:54 AM
Hi

I have worked out how to use the software offline to generate address pairs.

I have sent money to the address and have found it on the block chain confirming it is there

How do I withdraw money from the address? I can't see where to use the private key

Thanks

I never did this. Is this a new measure?

Hi

I have recently got some litecoins and need to know if there are ways to store them in paper wallets like btc.

I have recently been stung by the instawallet scandal and want to make sure my litecoin investment is safe in the physical world and off the net.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Hi

I am in the process of building a bitcoin retail site and wondered if anyone knows of a font in google fonts that has the BTC symbol as the B?

The site is using Wordpress so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
