1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Another FUD article from the Wall Street Journal... on: December 14, 2023, 07:50:04 AM
They say the ETH Spot ETF won't pass because Wall Street firms don't know how to solve the staking reward problem... The SEC could say no for many reasons, but staking is definitely not one of them, as none of the proposals mention staking at all.

When I was in school, everyone was encouraged to read the Wall Street Journal because it showed that I was an intellectual. Now, why do you read the Wall Street Journal? Don't you have Google at home to verify information? Why does the Wall Street Journal hate crypto so much?

FUD to collect goods Smiley . What's interesting is that some crypto fans like to share false information about other chains, as long as it benefits them...

As the saying goes, if you put 100 black ants and 100 red ants in a jar and then shake the jar, they will start fighting.

Never forget that the real enemy is not another type of ant but the person shaking the jar.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Who is responsible for upgrading the Bitcoin network? on: December 07, 2023, 03:46:38 AM
Because some friends asked me about this, with the Bitcoin Ordinals controversy and the proposal to remove the inscription, many people wonder who is responsible for upgrading the Bitcoin network? Although I am not sure about the knowledge I am understanding, I can express that it does not require the consensus of the majority of the community

- developers: They suggest and develop upgrades or improvements. The Bitcoin development community is very decentralized with participation from everywhere, working privately or for a company, with many contributors of advice working on different aspects of contributing to the open source code of Bitcoins.

- miners: They play an important role as they need to accept and implement changes in their mining operations. Miner acceptance is important for a successful upgrade, especially if it requires a hard fork.

- Node Operators: These are individuals or organizations that run the Bitcoin software and confirm transactions. Nodes need to update their software to accept new changes in the protocol.

- user: Bitcoin users, including individuals and businesses, are also part of the upgrade. It matters which new software wallets or versions of Bitcoin they accept.

- exchanges and wallet providers: These entities need to update their systems to ensure compatibility with the new upgrade, ensuring users can trade and make transactions without problems.

We all know that the upgrade process in Bitcoin is based on consensus, which means that a large portion of the network must agree to the upgrade for it to be deployed successfully. We have also had cases where strong disagreements could lead to chain splits, like in 2017 with Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The story never ends, Tech or Ponzi in the cryptocurrency market? on: November 29, 2023, 08:41:05 AM

- Have you ever wondered what factors in this market make people feel interested and keep going for a long time? With the advent of dozens of Layer 2 today, it really makes me laugh about competition.

- Not to mention far-fetched, the BLAST Layer 2 ponzi Smiley (in my personal opinion) was born not long ago but is far surpassing TVL among the familiar names in this field that have appeared before, such as Zksync, Starknet... This is not an introductory topic about BLAST, so everyone should be responsible for their own decisions. Although I previously created a topic about BLAST's airdrop issue, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5475377.0

- What do you think about this?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Layer 2 Blast and airdrop! on: November 24, 2023, 07:57:46 PM

Blast, a layer-2 solution on Ethereum, was recently officially launched and confirmed to have attracted $20m in investment capital from Paradigm,... In this funding round, many famous individuals in the cryptocurrency community on the social network X Twitter also participated. Detail: https://twitter.com/Blast_L2/status/1726747115018481798

After research, I know Blast has a few points:
- The economic model and the airdrop model are separate, so they should not be considered a form of ponzi that some projects are still doing to attract users.
- Depositing ETH and stablecoin to get staking interest. Profits are distributed back to depositors at an interest rate of 4 -5%
- Airdrop is something that is attracting attention, because most L2 allow users to use the experience early and to be able to reach real users. Similar to many active L2, Blast is also worth our time looking for airdrop opportunities.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Illuvium (ILV) price increase after news with Gamestop on: November 09, 2023, 03:32:14 AM
Notification, 3D RPG game using Unreal Engine 5 technology and operating on the Immutable X (IMX) blockchain network, recently announced that it will launch Beta version 3 on Epic Games Store on Nov 28 2023. This version will offer three different genres and three different game modes, including open world exploration, automated strategic combat, and city building support on mobile and desktop in the Illuvium.

The Epic Games Store version does not require the use of a Web3 wallet and does not require players to own NFTs, to reduce barriers for traditional players and expand the user base. In this announcement, ILV token pumped more than 15% before correcting

P/s:
- What are your thoughts on this information?
- IMO, the Gamefi hype is slowly spreading now, and many people are starting to FOMO with this trend. Although the potential is undeniable, we need quality projects and enough longterm development capacity if we want this field to develop stronger.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is it a copy of friend tech? T2T2 on: November 06, 2023, 10:57:08 AM
There was some similarity when I accidentally learned about T2T2, many people are probably still continuing on Friend Tech. And I bet this is a project filled with hype.  Are any of you interested in this project? As far as I know, they conduct IEO on Bitget, IEO details: https://www.bitget.com/events/launchpad/details/7121 I don't know much about the current events regarding this project, but from the looks of it, it seems like it's quite hyped to launch at the moment.

What do you think about T2T2?

Will this project cause many developers to launch and list similar products in the future, because when I learned about SocialFi, I wasn't sure what they could do or if they were simply taking advantage of the term to cause attention.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Memeland Airdrop on: November 02, 2023, 03:36:31 AM
It is possible that many people have also heard about it and are looking for the opportunity to receive airdrops from this project, and I want to do some analysis for those who are interested in their airdrops.

Details project:
https://www.memecoin.org/
https://www.memeland.com/

First this project brought some major hype when they announced they would implement Lauchpool on Binance, detail: https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/introducing-memecoin-meme-on-binance-launchpool-farm-meme-by-staking-bnb-tusd-and-fdusd-90ccca2c5d6946ef9439dae41a517578

I think many people will probably think that it is similar to the memecoins that have appeared in this space, so if you have ever known 9GAG, perhaps it will be easier for us to understand the project's intentions. And I don't want to analyze too much but just want to focus on the main issue of the opportunity to receive an airdrop from the project.

This part will mainly belong to the owners of NFT collections in memeland.

As far as I know, this is the part that many people are misunderstanding and have been quite concerned about recently with the mission on https://www.memecoin.org/farming

Although there is no official announcement yet, the listing time will be soon(Nov 3, 2023), so I think we will soon see an announcement on how to claim as well as other specific criteria. And this is just information that I researched and speculated about Memeland. If there are any mistakes, I hope to receive feedback from everyone.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Looking back at the past, one of those statements gained respect over time. on: October 28, 2023, 07:07:46 PM
I don't know if you still know or know this man, but for me it was one of the memories when I first searched for information related to bitcoin and accidentally saw his analysis. I also used to think that what he said was ridiculous because, at that time, maybe my understanding of the banking system or the economy was too silly. The things he said at that time made me just think that maybe bitcoin is a ponzi project and hires some people to spread it.

Source: Bitcoin Update - just buy $1 worth of bitcoin please!

And some pictures after the investment process with bitcoin that changed his own life.

This is just one of many cases where he had faith in bitcoin early on and is enjoying the most visible results in the wealth he has earned. It's just that through the story of this case, I see that I have missed out on many good opportunities due to ignorance. But even worse, the bitcoins I had earned before were also impossible. Look back a bit on the past, but don't be immersed in that regret, how we will approach this opportunity in the present and the future. And you, have you missed any opportunities with bitcoin?
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / A matter of family conflict regarding Bitcoin. on: September 20, 2023, 04:04:10 AM

Bitcoin blowup: Domestic dispute turns crypto catastrophe with six-hour standoff in central Thailand
Quote
A heated dispute over Bitcoin investment loss led to a domestic violence incident that escalated into a six-hour standoff with the police. The 35 year old husband, Kritsada, shot his wife and barricaded himself in their home in Uthai district, Ayutthaya province, before eventually surrendering to the authorities.

I just found a news story and tried to find more content related to this story, and this is all I know about this story. It makes me imagine stories that I have encountered before in the investment environment, where losses occur and make people lose their original reason for earning money, which is also to bring home and build a better family life. I don't want to discuss the reasons for investment failure here, but from the story associated with bitcoin, it will also continue to happen, but in a different form.

Bitcoin is getting more and more popular, and it is labeled with many different stories. I can see many people blaming Bitcoin as the cause of all the problems, but clearly the main problem is people causing them related to Bitcoin.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / LAYER 2 projects to HOLD waiting for the next uptrend of the cryptocurrency. on: September 07, 2023, 12:26:39 AM
Competition in crypto is always one of the things that appears familiar in the  market. Recalling a bit of what we went through in the most recent uptrend cycle,
that competition is mainly in the top L1, and is easily accessible. Things will not be like this forever, as many problems have been seen, such as operations, fees, speed,...
and L2 will be a new competition to solve these problems.

Why is it like that?

If everyone notices that L2 listing or airdrop announcement, then the market is quite exciting, and there are quite a lot of people participating in the market.
Looking at the overall data, markercap,... L2 projects always have Top crypto, TVL is also something that says many things, like a high TVL will depend on the project
team working well as a whole. Use trust when staking into pools in the L2 ecosystem.

A year and a half ago, I heard many people talking about ETH vs BNB in the near future, but now that L2 has joined the main Ethereum network, it is
creating expansion as well as bringing in more Dapps networks, and ETH's TVL has far surpassed BNB. I know the story that when entering the uptrend
period, the investment tendency of traders is to use a lot of money to invest in this market, as I recently saw things about L2 investors raising money.
A lot of money (there are projects raising more than $100 million) has partly determined the trend will belong to L2, at the same time, Ethereum's L1
competitors do not have many breakthroughs or marketing for money to flow in L2, which is constantly being marketed on every social channel. The upcoming
Ethereum updates will aim to expand the network as well as other L2, and every time an L2 project launches a token, it is an exciting time in the crypto community.

So the vision with L2 top What is that?

          TVL: ~ $704,72m
          Market cap: ~ $1b

          TVL: ~$1,7b
          Market cap:  ~$1,2b

          TVL: ~ $804,8m
          Market cap:  ~ $5,1b

I see this as the top project on L2 that I'm also paying a lot of attention to,

the first project OP is quite interested in, there's a lot to say about it but I think simplification is the start, I' m sure this is one
of the projects that people pay a lot of attention to and are accumulat, talking about features, the project helps reduce fees, speed up...
bring smoothness but still safety.

ARB with its extremely huge TVL/mc ratio, it deserves a leading position in the crypto market.

As for MATIC, I see their strength as they have been around for a long time so they have enough experience and strategy.
_______________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________

So through this, I also had a few small studies as well as speculation about L2 in the near future. Basically, most of the things that L2 needs to do well are process
transactions at a fast speed, reduce gas fees,  scales Dapp deployment, and require a strong enough MM to maintain the price. And this is also my speculation
about the top L2 projects, the information and opinions are all based on personal subjective knowledge, hoping to receive everyone's contribution. In addition, you
can also suggest the L2 project you are following.

12  Economy / Economics / Connect data to accelerate cashless payments on: June 20, 2023, 03:22:22 AM
Cashless payment has become so popular and is gradually becoming a habit of many consumers, like last weekend I went to a market in a rural area when I saw that there were very few ATMs around, but surprisingly, the sellers there accept online payments, and the real amount is only about $2 for some fruits. I'm impressed with them because it's still a poor area and payments are mostly cash, but the way they're approaching the changes in the world is still unrestricted.

In recent years, especially after the outbreak of the disease worldwide, the shift of people to payment via Internet channels or mobile phones has increased both the number and value of transactions. In the digital age, data can be used to understand and capture customer behavior and consumption trends, helping banks and businesses identify new opportunities and make the right decisions. and improve operational efficiency. Regarding the role of data in the operation of the banking industry, connecting data will help banks gain insights into customer behavior, helping to cross-sell products. In addition, the full data connection contributes to preventing fraudulent acts, enhancing information security.

Although this is a rather small issue in terms of personal experience, it is undeniable that it is the direction of future development in the new era, what do you think about this issue? Although I know that not everywhere has enough conditions to be exposed to changes in technology, finance, new knowledge, ... but what I am paying attention to is that it is more convenient for life. In life, there are problems that will come to universalize it but over time people do think we will use less cash.

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Is this the only way to process bitcoin transactions without Bitpay? on: October 17, 2013, 12:44:32 AM

Read the article here: http://bitfreak.info/?page=tools&t=bitsci

Bitcoin SCI: process bitcoin transactions with PHP

The Bitcoin Shopping Cart Interface package is a set of libraries and tools that enable you to process bitcoin transactions with only PHP. You can have your own Instant Payment Notification system without the need for a middleman. If you've been wondering how to handle customer payment since MyBitcoin went down, look no further, because this is the safest solution.

An elliptic curve library written in PHP is used to achieve server side generation of FRESH bitcoin addresses for each customer. The script monitors the status of a payment by making use of the data supplied by blockexplorer.com. As such, there is no need to install a heavy duty service such as bitcoind on your server. The only limitation with this PHP package is that you can't make outgoing payments.

The SCI package comes with a simple example to give you an idea about how to generate new keys and initiate a new payment through the Bitcoin Payment Gateway. This is NOT full shopping cart software, you would typically use this script to offer Bitcoins as one possible method of payment. It is intended to serve as a very basic framework which you can expand upon and integrate with a database.

UPDATE: A lot of improvements have been made in the newest version. I had a suggestion to use public-key cryptography to help better protect the private bitcoin keys, so I implemented the RSA algorithm and it seems to work well. There is a new admin.php file in the sci file to help generate new RSA key pairs and decrypt your bitcoin keys. Encrypted bitcoin keys from older versions will not be compatible with this version, so remember to delete the decrypt_keys.php file if you're upgrading. More information can be found in the download.

19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Bitcoin Payment System Question - Wordpress/PHP/HTML Expert Advice Needed on: July 08, 2013, 09:17:19 PM
I'm interested in setting up a bitcoin payment system where a buyer comes to a website to purchase a digital download. Once he adds the item to the shopping cart and clicks the "Pay with Bitcoin" button he immediately get's a QR code where he has to send his bitcoins.

My Question: What program or code do I need to check if the payment has been sent to a bitcoin address, and afterwards sends them a download link automatically?

20  Other / Beginners & Help / Bitcoin Donate Button on: May 30, 2013, 07:27:57 PM
I just had my developer customize the coinwidget button: http://coinwidget.com/  to work with the look and feel of my site.

Feel free to test it out: http://filmstudiox.com

It's located on the bottom footer of my site, it's next to the flickr social media button. You can change the amount you'd like to donate, and you can also have it open up a wallet, or use the qr code.

Any feedback on it would be appreciated. In the future I'd like to have my developer create a custom bitcoin button that will be installed as a wordpress plugin and hosted on your own site.
