2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ImToken password forgotten on: February 03, 2019, 01:54:18 AM
My mistake.

I just realized I forgot my ImToken password (I need the password to withdraw and access the mnemonics). I know it's (99.9%) impossible to retrieve but if anyone has any solutions I am all for it.

On the good side it's very little locked tokens.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What does the Ethereum Foundation really do? on: February 17, 2018, 07:33:45 AM
Is it just for consensus building with no real voting power?

Or does it have some mechanism to make real influence?

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / device to buy and sell cryptocurrency on: October 02, 2017, 12:09:54 AM

Supports buying and selling using X Pass card or crypto wallet, and works with fiat and bank card.

Do you think it will work in your country, if we put this device in convenience stores or cafes?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Thoughts on Pundi X project on: September 21, 2017, 03:45:03 AM
Hi guys,

Here's the background:

In 2-2017 we launched a payment app and managed to corner a small payment market in our market. Several of us in the team play bitcoins and are crypto-anarchist wannabe, but never thought of doing anything with crypto except trading, and hopefully one day using it to buy groceries. Then ICO explodes.....

Should we leverage on this ICO craze (in a good and right way) ?

We create this use case:
1. Buying cryptocurrency should be as easy as buying a bottled water
2. Spending cryptocurrency should be easier than using a cashless app

Statement 1 & 2 are designed for normal people, those that call us "and ask what bitcoin is" because we look nerdy enough for them to think we know. Smiley

We have
1. Working app - which is no1 (at least top 3) in Indonesia despite being a new comer. It's a QR payment system like Linepay in Japan or Alipay in China. It's geared towards offline payment so the use case is to pay when you buy a coffee or groceries by scanning the QR code. We have credit lending in it but decided to postpone it since we don't have P2P(or on-site) lending license.

2. Working device - we modified a POS machine (some call EDC) manufactured in Shen Zhen, and we have ordered 500 of them. Actually since we have a team in Shen Zhen we can pre order and get 10000 devices in two weeks. It's very secure and I invite hackers to break it, through software or hardware attack.

3. Working card - A decade ago people feel safer when they buy talk time (mobile calling card) they need to have a plastic card. So we will give that to the people too.

Finally we want to roll out 1,000,000 smart devices connected to the Ethereum blockchain in 3 years.

Again we are not chasing the ICO craze purely for money, but we do think its a good chance to roll out projects that can really benefit normal people. >90% of crypto is in the hands of 1% is not right. Crypto will not be the currency we want to be if it's not shared with more people.

Thoughts? Advice needed.

This might be a lame question but does all blockchain have a master node, and how different are they?

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / How trustworthy are ico rating sites? on: September 15, 2017, 06:28:37 PM
Some are doing a great job overseeing ICO teams, but how do we prevent collusion?

Just asking
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Has the China ban affected ICO fund raising? on: September 15, 2017, 04:28:35 PM
Some say that the ban will affect many ICO fund raising as much as causing 50% less tokens raised. What do you think?
11  Other / Off-topic / VPN suggestions on: September 14, 2017, 09:27:17 AM
Something cheap and reliable.

PS: I was using VPN with Shadowsocks and the connection was really fast, I think Shadowsocks is a branch from socks5 proxy, so maybe socks5 is equally fast too.

13  Economy / Service Discussion / question about bctalk account pricer on: September 12, 2017, 03:57:57 PM

I've just checked my account and it says this:

Activity: 196 (Full Member)
Potential Activity: 196 (Potential Full Member)
Weeks to Next Potential Rank: 7
Potential Activity to next Potential Rank: 44
SMAS Blacklisted: No
Trust: Neutral
Estimated Price: 0.03724000

When it says "Weeks to Next Potential Rank" is 7, does it mean that I can potentially move to senior member in 7 week, or am I still stucked with Full member as in "potential activity" I am a "(Potential full member)"

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Questions about DASH on: September 12, 2017, 02:16:27 PM
Hi guys,

I am new to DASH so I'll ask some rudimentary question and hopefully get some answers. thanks in advance.

1. Is DASH both a blockchain and token?
2. Can DASH be burnt as transaction fees?
3. Is it's only difference in terms of governance-aka-hard-to-fork and private?

thanks and appreciate
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Thoughts on SLVR ICO on: September 11, 2017, 07:00:28 AM

What do you guys think about SLVR, I am going to write down the merits:

- bonus to the 50 largest token holders for a paid trip to Mexico. Hmm, I wonder if if this goes to from anywhere in the world.
- The daily production is 600 - 1000 tons per day
- The Belem Mine has 12,000,000 ounces in proven certified reserves

And from their WP, the verbatim language:

- "supply of SLVR is initially limited to 7 million tokens for 5 years, after which point and when the reserves are in excess of 100%, new SLVR can be minted by the team according to the amount of excess silver in reserve. The maximum supply of SLVR after 5 years will be 14 million, after 10 years the maximum supply will be 19 million. Finally, after 15 years the SLVR team will be able to mint and sell the remaining supply of SLVR up to 23 million."

I am super excited about this project, if any I am just worried about timeline and if someone who has knowledge about the management of this team, that will be super helpful.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Kin ICO from Kik on: September 10, 2017, 11:19:01 AM
Hi guys,

I've applied for the token sales and got into the white list. Does anyone have anything to say about this ICO?

Kik is one of the very few with proper products, you know their Kik chat app.

But I want to know about other downsides about this ICO, one I heard was that they were gonna distribute only 10% of tokens to the public. Is that true?

What other deal breakers.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is pegging precious metal to a cryptocurrency a good idea? on: September 08, 2017, 07:30:34 AM
I am looking at Slvr and like their project so far (as apparent from my signature), especially by pegging precious metal to it.

Precious metal == safe haven, preserving value
Crypto = high risk high return

Is combining both getting the best of both world?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How can USDT be pegged to Dollar? on: September 07, 2017, 08:40:55 AM
Do they take in USD notes and release USDT 1:1, just like acting as the federal reserves?

How else would they be able to peg it.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What is Ethereum's contract address? on: September 07, 2017, 08:38:23 AM
Hi guys,

What is the contract address in Ethereum blockchain? Is it the "place" where the first smart contract format is stored and in programming it is the "interface" for other smart contracts created from it?

20  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / What does signing a bitcoin address do? on: September 03, 2017, 12:56:59 PM
I've been asked to sign my address so that Byteball wallet can verify it. While on the outset it looks very safe as I am just linking a message(byteball address) to my bitcoin address and sharing the signed signature to Byteball wallet.

Can I just check if this is 100% safe? Is there any chance of compromise?
