1  Bitcoin / Mining / BTC mining on raspberry pi zero (running on solar power) on: April 19, 2022, 11:36:31 AM
are there any projects that run BTC mining on Raspberry PI zero with solar power?  I'm wondering if thats a worthy idea?  to decentralise bitcoin mining, one of the biggest barrier is electricity cost, but if we can have a small device that can run with solar power, effectively this can make the bitcoin network stronger.  Its not about profitability but strenthening bitcoin network
2  Bitcoin / Mining support / S9 psu starting after long delay post voltage surge on: January 09, 2022, 05:32:27 AM
I have S9i with a Chinese psu 2300 watts? during night my voltage surges to 265v and I turn off miner at mid night and turn it back on in the morning when voltage is normal but for some reason it takes long for psu to start back and sometime I keep it switched on for few hours and ultimately miner will start running.. is this is a known thing?? I?m getting a voltage stabiliser soon with output range of 200v-240v, hopefully that you solve this for good

4  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / bitcoin home mining opportunity cost! on: December 01, 2021, 11:04:23 AM
Would be glad to be proved wrong but unless you can recover your investment in short span of time you may never earn back the amount of bitcoins you could have bought with the initial investment in the miner…

Eg S9 was available for usd 195 (0.058 btc) in December 2018… from that date to till date if you had mined bitcoin for everyday when it was profitable and shut it down when it wasn’t profitable to mine you would only have earned back 0.041 btc @ 7 cents kWh.

Btw in USD terms you would in profit of 600+

I used historical btc data from coin metrics.io and miner price from kaboomracks market place on telegram
