1  Economy / Economics / Would you still use bitcoins if the price would be stable? on: March 10, 2018, 08:41:50 AM
I am pretty much interested to know how many people here uses bitcoin because of it's system, because of the anonymous and the security it provides, and because of the fact that it is really easy to transact over the internet, and there's no one who can just block your account(unlike paypal, a platform that provides an easy way to pay over the internet, but you rely on PayPal to keep your account open).

So, are you guys using bitcoin because of it's nature, or because it's a financial tool of making money?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Notification about Ethereum Classic Hard Fork on: March 03, 2018, 12:55:22 PM
Most of you didn't notice that Ethereum classic upcoming hard-fork will not be supported at most of the exchanges, and the only known major exchange to support the airdrop would be Binance.
Those who holds etc at other exchanges, I would recommend you to either transfer the coins to binance or to a cold wallet so you will later be able to recover the airdrop tokens.
I think that the recent positive trend in ETC's price that was drove by the fork wasn't right at all and soon we are going to see a price correction.
3  Economy / Marketplace / Visa Confirms That Coinbase Wasn't Fault For Overcharging Customers on: February 17, 2018, 07:59:58 PM
Pretty nice to see that Coinbase wasn't fault for the issue after all, people were jumping for conclusions without even investigating the case.
The main bug was that Visa duplicated charges for some reasons, but they now refunded all the charges that were made in wrong, and those who had any problems are going to see the money back in their account in the next few days.

I think it's a lesson for us to learn, never jump for conclusions, because when it comes to the crypto market, nothing is wrote in stone.

Would like to hear opinions from people who lost money in the bug.
4  Economy / Speculation / Psychologically- When Bitcoin Goes Up Everybody Thinks It Will Last Forever on: February 17, 2018, 10:11:11 AM
Have you also noticed that when bitcoin goes down everybody thinks that it is going to last forever and says good words about bitcoin, and about it's techonology that is going to change the whole world.
But when the opposite thing happens, and bitcoin goes down, everybody says something about "bubble explodes".
I think that it's all in the head, and it's the same thing as someone who is in a bad condition and thinks that it will last forever, and someone who is in a high, and thinks that it will never stop.
Why do think it happens?

5  Economy / Marketplace / OpenBazaar- Overrated Market Place Or A Good Choice To Buy From? on: February 17, 2018, 10:03:54 AM
I am pretty sure that all the veterans here heard the buzz about OpenBazaar at the middle of the last year.

Everybody said that it is going to be something that changes the world- a decentralized marketplace, where you don't need to pay high fees for listing items, and the fee you pay goes directly to the community.
Soon after OpenBazaar went out it had a high amount of users, and a high amount of transactions were happened within the network, but a month later, the usage rate went low dramatically.

I think it was just a cool gimmick, OpenBazaar has a lot to improve before we can actually use it at a large scale, beginning with the UI system, to the actual settling system, there's no seller that would like to suffer this headache just for selling an item.

For those who don't know what I am talking about, visit here:

What do you think about OpenBazaar, is it a market that worth using or the buzz was just for nothing?
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Has Bitcoin already hit the mainstream? on: January 19, 2018, 01:47:59 PM
It has been on almost every news platform and television channels, you could even hear your neighbor talking about it at the BBQ, or maybe your post man tried to convince you to invest in litecoins.
Bitcoin has been really gone into the people heads during the last few months and some people assume that it has been gone mainstream already, and some believe that it is not even close to mainstream.

I think that we can consider bitcoin as mainstream because a very large precent of people have already heard about bitcoin atleast one time, it doesn't necessarily mean that they own bitcoin or know what it does, but it means that they know about the coin, something we could only dream of few months back.
What do you think?
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / CME Now approved, bitcoin future markets will be available from 18 December on: December 01, 2017, 04:46:09 PM
Now approved that the CME exchange received the approval from the USA regulators, and will start maintaining Bitcoin future market starting at 18 December this year.

How do you think that it is going to impact bitcoin price?

I think that it's going to be tough for bitcoin as it will make shorting it much more easily.

8  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin Goes Up while volumes stay constant, is it a bubble? on: November 27, 2017, 12:51:21 PM
Seems like the price goes up but the volume at the exchanges almost remain the same.

All it comes to show that most of the people just hold the bitcoins and won't sell it at any price, seems like a religious thing.

Bitcoin goes up and nobody releases it, less bitcoins in circulation, volume stays constant, and price keeps going up, BUT what is going to happen if bitcoin will start going down, will all the people who hold it will decide that maybe it's the time to sell and we will see an huge decrease in price?

A very red alert is that volumes remain so low, what do you think?
9  Economy / Gambling / Looking for a sportsbook on: July 30, 2017, 08:13:07 AM
Hi.
I am looking for a sportsbook like dircetbet.eu used to be(now closed)
Where you send your funds to a specific address and if you win it is being sent back to an address you filled once placing the bet, without the need of withdrawing or creating an account.

Does somebody know about such a sportsbook?
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / What do you guys think about Casino and dice games? on: May 14, 2017, 08:31:03 AM
Hey.
I was just wondering to myself, do you guys believe that online casinos are totally legit, or do you also believe that some of them are rigging outcomes.
One of the reason I prefer to bet on sports and not on dice games or at online casinos is that I can't actually know if the casino is paying me as they should, or they tell me that I lost while I was supposed to be a winner.

Does the small house edge(compared to sports betting) worth the chance of the casino rigging the outcomes, making you lose sometimes while you were supposed to be the winner?
