1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Bitcoin cash lost? First time successfully, second time the coins are gone :-/ on: August 20, 2017, 02:56:36 PM
Hello,

i would like to ask about BCH/BCC claim via Electron Cash. I have done this one time already successfully few days after the fork, but when trying to do it again now, it shows me some outcoming transactions and that balance is emtpy.

So to explain, first i have moved my BTC out of the paper wallets, then i have downloaded the newest Electron Cash 2.9.2 from their "official" website http://www.electroncash.org/

I have run the .exe file, imported BIP38 decrypted private keys and it has worked...the BCC/BCH were there, i have sent it to the exchange and sold it. I have left some more paper wallets unclaimed thinking that BCC/BCH could have some big pump, which kind has now...So i tried to add new wallet on the Electron Cash, i have added the 2 decrypted BIP38 private keys and it has imported, BUT there immediately apperead some outcoming transactions but i didn't send any coins anywhere...It was almost immediately after i have imported the private keys...

I don't know if that could be some virus or more a bug, because if it would be virus, why would it work for me in the first time??? I don't get it :/

I had 10 and 10 BTC separated on 2 paper wallets, so there should be also 10 and 10 BCC/BCH...these are the addresses:

1F1KAdCQsFpZTG6DQeg1QSvD7v3tMYHGuL

127iJueRDoffxKKbfTBktDLsbRYXpobR1d

I don't get it why it would have to work 1st time and 2nd time it would be malicious? I didn't update it, nothing

Please is there any way to restore the BCH/BCC coins?

Thank you for help
2  Bitcoin / Project Development / Bitcoin table tennis tournaments on: June 07, 2016, 03:28:38 PM
Hi guys,

i got an idea, where i could promote Bitcoin, but don't know where to try to crowdfund it. I am one of the TTSTAR SERIES 2016 promoters - these are tournaments in table tennis in Czech republic.

We are organizing 24 tournaments this year and we made 10 tournaments so far.

We are working together with the biggest betting company in Czech republic, named Tipsport...(similiar as bwin etc, but mostly for Czech and Slovakia republic).

The deal is, the tournaments are live streamed on the Tipsport betting website and people are betting on the matches, sets, balls etc. It is quite big website and they have hundreds of thousands visitors daily.

The idea would be, if we would get some budget from bitcoin community, we would name it BITCOIN TTSTAR SERIES 2016 and we would promote Bitcoin in the livestream, on their website, in our videos on Facebook etc...most of our highlights videos have around 3 000 watches, one had also 13 500 views...and we are growing interest for table tennis and i would like to add Bitcoin to it Smiley

What do you guys think about the idea? I can't do it for free, because there are some offers from private companies, that they would like to use the name of their company in the touraments series, but it wasn't that interesting offers so we waited little bit more before choosing the sponsor of the tournament series.

Do you have idea where we could place crowdfunding campaign like that or perhaps can we find someone here? I looked at most of the bitcoin crowdfunding websites, but it looks like they have no visitors / pledgers any more...

the webiste of the tournaments is:

http://www.ttstar.cz

the fb website is:

https://www.facebook.com/ttstarseries/

In the tournaments are participating best players of the Czech, Slovakia, Italy, Hungary, Croatia, Belarus, Russia and other countries...so the tournaments are for professional table tennis players, most of them are around 100-300 in the world ranking

My idea would be also to make them t-shirts in the grand final (last tournament) with Bitcoin as a sponsor Wink

Please let me know if it is total nonsense or you think there is a chance, that we would find some crazy bitcoin sponsor / sponsors here or anywhere else :-)

Thanks

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Paper wallet vs bitcoin-qt on: November 17, 2013, 09:57:15 PM
Hello guys,

i would like to ask for your help. I would like to transfer my bitcoins from bitcoin-qt wallet to paper wallet but i am not sure how the BIP38 Encrypt works and if this is more secure way than standard paper wallet....? I had my bitcoins for a while on bitstamp, i didn't feel confident about it, now i have it on the bitcoin-qt wallet, but i don't feel much confident about it either, even when i have it encrypted and i have backups. I am afraid of keyloggers and malware (but also for the paper wallets, because they can see it while i am printing it). Maybe i am paranoid, but i just don't want to lose my bitcoins.

I read also about deleting whole bitcoin wallet from pc (while having back ups on more usb sticks) - would it make some difference and is it safe for long time storing?

So the questions:

1. How the BIP38 exactly works? And how is it different from non BIP38 encrypted paper wallet?
2. Would you recommend more encrypted paper wallet or bitcoin-qt? If bitcoin-qt, will deleting it from pc help?

Thank you very much for your help

7  Bitcoin / Project Development / Bitcoin social network on: October 13, 2013, 02:55:22 PM
Hello guys,

i am thinking about creating social network with similar features like FB, but the social network would be only (well not only, but especially) for Bitcoin users. What do you think? Do you think it is stupid idea or would you join this kind of network? I saw there were some websites similar to this idea, but it didn't work out (or at least what i know) from some reason...I don't know if bitcoin users would want to upload some personal photos and details about themselves, when i consider most bitcoin users are trying to stay anonymous...But anyway, i have an idea, i know how it could be done, but i would like to ask you here guys what you think about it.

Thanks for your comments

Regards

8  Economy / Speculation / Where to invest 25,000 USD - LTC or BTC? on: July 13, 2013, 03:09:56 PM
Hello guys,

as the title says - i would like to know your opinion on where to invest 25,000 USD? What would you buy for short term period - <1 year? Litecoin or Bitcoin? I don't want to look like 100% pure speculator, i have ecommerce with self defense products accepting bitcoin and if it would be possible, i would accept Litecoin too. I am using bitcoin almost every week to buy or sell goods for some time.
However, now I would like to make investment of 25,000 USD into cryptocurrency - ltc, btc or these 2 together. I know all the risks and i accept the fact i can lose all my money - but of course i would rather not to  Wink

I am thinking about diversify this money into LTC and BTC - but where to put bigger part? And why? And when you think will be the "best time" to invest?
Am I wrong if i think, that right now ltc has bigger potencial to rise in the short time period because mtgox is planning to accept LTC in near future (or at least they claim so)? I believe in BTC generaly, but now i am afraid, that miners with new ASICs will push the price down for some time selling almost immediately every BTC they mine until they break even...? I would like to know your opinions and see the reasons why to invest into BTC or LTC. I will make the final decision on my own, but i will appreciate every (reasonable) opinion of yours. I will try to write here how i decided and provide a report on the results.

Thank you
