3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Using Wester Union to sell BTC? on: January 03, 2014, 04:22:49 AM
Hi all, I am currently looking to sell some of my BTC but it turns out to be quite a hard task Tongue
As I currently live in South America, most money transfer options used to trade BTC is not possible.
As far as I see I only have two options:
1. International bank transfer
2. Western Union

(1.) being quite difficult as I hardly find any one selling for International bank transfer
Now I found out about Western Union and it sound like a super simple way, just go to the local WU agent and pick up the money.
Is there any draw back when using it? Any one have experience with them, any pros and cons ?
Thanks in advanced!
4  Economy / Service Discussion / Verifying a account at bitstamp with bank statement, is it safe ? (Solved) on: December 20, 2013, 12:18:51 PM
Hi I have a question, I wonted to  verify my account at bitstamp and the easiest would be a to use a bank statement.
Now I talked to some people and they sad that one should never give away the bank statement, as it could lead to identity theft.
Is that true? Can I blank out my bank account number when sending them the statement and would that make it safe?

Thanks in advanced!

6  Local / Trading und Spekulation / BTC-e EURO via Sepa Überweisung abheben on: December 06, 2013, 07:43:44 PM

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [WTS] 100k Nxt for 0.1 BTC on: November 26, 2013, 06:18:22 PM
Selling 100k Nxt for 0.1 BTC

What is Nxt?

Quote
Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin

Nxt uses brand new software.  It’s not a fork of Bitcoin source code.

Nxt is the first 100% Proof-of-Stake (PoS) currency.  Coins are earned solely by charging transaction fees.

Nxt improves different features of Bitcoin, removes some disadvantages (e.g. bloated blockchain) and resolves a big environmental issue.  Time between blocks is one minute.  This increases the rate of orphaned blocks but makes it more convenient for the users.

Nxt doesn’t use so-called “scripts” aka predicates.  This simplifies and accelerates transaction processing.  Advanced features like multisig will be created on top of the core as 3rd party services.

Nxt will have the following distributed features integrated into the client:
- Currency Exchange
- Stock Exchange
- Colored Coins Implementation (This allows Nxt accounts to function as Gateways for other currencies.)
- Marketplace
- Messaging

13  Other / Beginners & Help / [Mining] Am I solo mining corectly? on: May 19, 2013, 01:00:51 PM
Yesterday when the new Nibble lounched I thought I would test and see if my solomining works, so that when the MC2 (Netcoin) is being released I can start solo mining with (hopfully) no problems.
I miened with cgminer and cudaminer at the same time.
Here are the results I got:

Is this how it should look like? What I notice, cgminer says "No suitable long-poll found for LocalHost:9991", is that normel when solo mining?

As it seems, CudaMiner has finaly found a block....problem is that it never showed up in my Nibble-qt client Sad
Any Idea why?

Thanks in advanced!!!
