I love mining this coin, any suggestions on how to minimize the amount of Rejected shares/blocks? I've got fast internet and the RPC port forwarded and no firewall and no internet security preventing any connection. but I'm still getting tons of Rejects.
I assume you are solo mining EXC, is your wallet and miner on the same computer or at least on the same local area network?

Version 1.5 is going to be release in the next couple of days, possibly sooner and will have the Kimoto Gravity Well integrated into it.
This will stabilise the difficulty and make it more resistant to multipools.
Good work Capt - looking forward to version 1.5

How do we get in on this coin and mine it? I don't get this coin, its weird
Your best bet is to solo mine it - as the block reward is now so small I doubt there will be any pools that pop up any time soon. When and if the price exploded this may be a different matter but until then look up how to solo mine a coin and get hashing There seems to be a bit of a push to invest in rare coins at the moment. Hopefully some whale will swoop up a nice pile of EXC and get it back in the public eye...

wow...the new website design feels like 2 steps back. I could see that work with black, grey and white but the blue is just...almost random...why that awful blue ?
I think the website needs a color scheme change, keep the light theme but chuck the blue pastel colors. The website needs to be simple and uncluttered, it needs to deliver a clean profecinal look that is intrinsic to a high wealth comodoty. A good example would the Apple.com homepage. No frills, just clean lines and clear facts about what it is they offer.

Go to the console and try the repairwallet command.
That did it - nice and simple (and quick!) cheers budz

This is all looking good - now we need get generate some media buzz around EXC to get people investing and mining. - A good starting point may be a website overhaul (drop the black theme?) combined with an increase in twitter presence perhaps?
- Give away threads are now outlawed on BCT, does EXC have any faucets?
- What is the current status of EXC in relation to Cryptsy? Have they outright said no that wont add it or have they just not responded to add requests?

I had install problems on 3 different computers.
Can you elaborate on said issues?

any HW comparison? what is the best to use?
Fast CPU with as many cores as possible - the top of the range intel zeon processor will net you around ~200 xrp

CGB is Nice!
Indeed, CGB is a little jem amongst the stones - at some point in the not too distant future it is going to sky rocket like a speeding bullet stuck in the back end of a bat out of hell

...So I pulled my Starcoin wallet.dat out of cold storage, downloaded the latests qt application and spent 2 days syncing the block chain. I should have around 7000 coins but my balance shows zero currently. The transactions show up in the transaction list tab, but still my balance is still zero. Any suggestions? There are no outbound transactions, only inbound and interest. The wallet it fully synced now... Ballance: Transactions:

Fix is released and website updated, all looking good Can we have a dump of EXC network stats? (global hash rate, difficulty, total blocks and an idea of transaction times etc...) as PoolWarz's diff. value looks to be incorrect and my wallet is inaccessible to me for the next 24 hours...

Glad yo see EXC is progressing. Whilst I understand the drive to keep the fix simple will multipools end up pushing the difficulty way up when the coins becomes profitable to mine again? What did you conclude on the addition of the KGW?

we're getting coordinated to properly launch/moderate our own forum. And new website to keep things fresh will be released very soon.
This is excellent news, I have high hopes for CGB and I'm glad to say they are looking very well founded indeed

Longer and slower difficulty increase?
I would have a good read up on Megacoin and its diff. algo. the Kimoto Gravity Well. 12 other coins have adopted it since it's release and it works like a charm.

Excellent news If you can build a little momentum behind EXC (coupled with its rareity) I would easily expect the price to hit $1 and upwards after the client fix. People are looking to invest in the next coin that will make big gains, EXC has only just been added to Coinmarketcap (and as you say its not on Cryptsy) There are thousand of potential investors who have not heard of EXC before - waiting in the wings to grab a slice of a rare coin on the verge of shooting up.

CaptChadd where is it?
+1 You are sitting on a potential gold mine and its slowly bleeding away due to (self imposed) missed deadlines and buggy slow software. Update the website, release the fixed client, keep regular contact with YOUR community and EXC might not fade into obscurity. I'm getting really tired of developers making promises and time and time again not delivering.
