1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to study trading and technical analysis? on: August 05, 2017, 03:46:57 AM
Many ways to learn trade, you can read in this forum or read other articles. Watching videos on youtube is also not bad.
Or ask a friend who has had a trade experience. It is highly recommended, you will get real guidance and experience.
That's a right way to learn through the forum activities as well learning from the words of people who are successful in trading. Here the successful people have their own way of profit making. So it's our responsibility to experiment and find the reality to understand it in a better way.

Once you know some of the basics for technical analysis, experimenting is really the only way forward.

You can put in 0.01 btc or something small, even the small amount you get from a signature campaign to test out and develop your own technique before putting in and risking the big cash.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin penetrate the price of 3500 USD at the end of 2017 this? on: August 05, 2017, 03:45:23 AM
With the rise in bitcoin prices now when I made this topic has reached the price of 2769 USD, my hope can be translucent 3500 USD until the end of the year.

How do you respond about it, can or not bitcoin will reach that price?

I believe this can happen. See now bitcoin prices are already at 2900USD rates, stay waiting for a few more days to break through 3000USD and then 3500USD price will keep increasing bit by bit over the last 4 months. Later this year instead I predict that bitcoin can exceed 3500USD, see a lot of positive development going on and even now bitcoin has been more valuable than gold.

I agree it's going to happen too. But I think it can go a bit father, possible $4000 by the end of this year, would be amazing. At this moment BTC price is increasing and LTC is having a nice rise too, I don't know why...

But very soon BTC will hit $3000, I think it's not the challenge anymore, the challenge is $4000, an interesting conquest.
As the price heads near to $2900 we have got increased chances of reaching $3000 in a short time period. Along with the ongoing price we need to think about the past where price reached few dollars away to $3000 and fell back below $2000. Hope the same won't happen again.

Wow, look at the price now. We were here talking about BTC price hit $3000 and after one hour or so the price reached to $3109! Big pump happening right now, let's see how farther will the price... If it's a big pump we can reach to $3500 or very close, but I think it's early to say yet. Hold your Bitcoins, the roller-coaster is going up!

Yeah I think we will pass $3500 within the next few days and even if it has a correction it is quite sure to reach it well before the end of the year. I think $5000 is a more appropriate end of year target.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Too many choices, Confused what to buy on: August 05, 2017, 03:43:41 AM
Since you are asking for suggestions I'll give you my 2 cents.

Waves is a great investment and a great platform with many tokens using it. Also check out some promising ICO like the one in my signature Shadowtoken, it has already gone up 2x in price since the first day of its ICO and their product is already completely finished.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: New all-time high on: August 05, 2017, 03:41:58 AM
Yikes I hadn't even noticed this price spike!!!

$4000 here we come. Its going to keep pumping in the coming days, fasten your seatbelt everyone.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? on: August 05, 2017, 03:40:39 AM
I don't really see a point of those type of people trying to use Bitcoin to purchase whatever they want since they're already rich. Bitcoin does not have any weight to it when showing somebody the amount of coins they would have, if they show how many paper money that they have then people will get jealous and is more than likely to be controlled by the holder.
I agree. They have sufficient amount to spend to satisfy their needs. What's the point of getting bitcoins if they have much money which much more convenient to use for daily transactions? Another thing is why they have to risks their profit if they can obtain that in their own jobs or businesses with assurance. Besides the risks, These type of people have no time to spare, i think they can't afford to lose time in this kind of business
I think not all bitcoin holders are rich, some are very dependent on bitcoin to meet their daily needs and maybe they only earn from bitcoin and have no other business at all

The question was not if bitcoin holders are rich it was if rich people invest in bitcoin, I think you missed the point of this thread.

And I agree to an extent with the people you replied to that rich people don't have much time to focus on bitcoin and its related businesses, they simply don't need it.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason that keeps me from investing in bitcoin on: August 05, 2017, 03:38:18 AM
Well I have had all my transactions in the last few days confirmed with 1 sat/byte fees, so I think fees are no longer a relevant reason not to invest. Once segwit locks in over the next few weeks I can only see the transaction fees going lower, perhaps even to the point blocks are never full.

Now is a great time to invest.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-e Users Currently Signing Petitions to the Department Of Justice on: July 30, 2017, 12:11:26 PM
Sorry to sound unsympathetic, but there's more likelihood of the DoJ prosecuting you for being financially involved than there is in you getting any of your bitcoins back.  You may well be law-abiding, but that's not what they will naturally assume.  The way they see it, your petition is basically saying "I've been helping fund this suspected criminal you just arrested and I'd like my money back, please".   Roll Eyes

I'm not saying they were right to seize the funds or anything (Team America: World Police, etc).  I thought this exchange was based in Bulgaria, just ever so slightly outside of US jurisdiction.  But seriously... how likely do you think it is they're actually going to hand over the bitcoins?  Not just because they aren't going to see it from your perspective, but also because they simply don't care.  America isn't "the land of the free".  It only counts as freedom when it suits them and I can assure you this particular matter of freedom doesn't even show on their radar.  You have no rights here as far as they're concerned, which is awful, I know, but that's just how it is.  You need to learn and accept that if you leave your funds in the control of an exchange, they can vanish at any point and you are more than likely to get nothing in return.

Rule #1 of Bitcoin is that if you don't have control over the private keys, you don't have control over your bitcoins.

That is not how it works, if you have done nothing illegal then they have no legal basis to confiscate your coins.

However I haven't seen any statement regarding if or how many coins they managed to seize and think it is likely still in the possession of the owners.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ShadowToken for the highly rated Shadow Era TCG on: July 30, 2017, 12:09:15 PM
10,000,000 tokens, with starting price at $0,05. Does this mean that all tokens are sold for $0,05 per token untill they are all sold, or what does the "starting price" means?

Total token for sale is 10 million token with a starting price 0.05 usd so maybe after for example token already solded 1 million token , the price will raise up to 0.1usd then price will raise again after got some target,

course this my opinion , if u asked from who i got this info.

They haven't specified how much they will raise the price or at what intervals so it's hard to say how it will go but for sure I think this ICO is worth 5 million+
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-e joint refund group on: July 30, 2017, 12:04:22 PM
i hate to say this and i hope im wrong but more than likely the remaining admin just moved all the coins to a wallet he controls so he can cash them out and move to some tropical beach somewhere in peace.

BTC-e had two owners. The first one was Alexander Vinnik, who is about to be deported to the United States, where he is going to spend the rest of his life behind bars. The second owner is another Russian guy called "Aleksey", who is in some country which is outside the US jurisdiction. He has taken control of all the coins and gone in to hiding. Now this may be a strategy to protect these coins from being confiscated by the authorities.

Or more like he is running off with the coins now that their criminal activities have come to an end.

I don't believe the US will confiscate bitcoins from anyone who hasn't committed any illegal act as that would be illegal on their part.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: localbitcoins.com and Bitcoin cash on: July 30, 2017, 11:59:40 AM
I haven't seen any official statement released from localbitcoins about BCC, in the absence of a statement you should assume you won't get the coins on your account.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash! Dead on Arrival? on: July 30, 2017, 11:58:29 AM
It seems from the look of things, all exchanges are not ready to support Bitcoin Cash in any way.

Most of the exchanges I makes use of for now, except bittrex has sent me an email stating they will not in anyway be supporting bitcoin cash and have asked users who wish to make use of bitcoin cash to please withdraw their cash before the fork day.

So my question is, does this mean bitcoin cash is dead on arrival? Does this spell doom for the forked currency already? From your point of view, do you think there may be a chance in the future for bitcoin cash?

Even if it survives the few first days after the fork, will you be converting your BCC to BTC immediately or will you leave it hoping the value will eventually be worth the keep?

Doesn't matter how many or few exchanges support it, what matters is how many people will dump and this is where it looks really bleak. I personally will try to dump before the price is too low.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ChronoLogic - Proof-of-Time token on Ethereum on: July 30, 2017, 11:57:04 AM
Sound maybe it can be popular so i will try investing some ether in this project
13  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: July 29, 2017, 10:41:06 PM
If btc-e are still in control of coins they cannot turn them into cash because fbi will have easy job to trace them.

But if they allow users to withdrawal their coin they can put a limit of 100-200 USD a day and a different address each time and they will be able to withdrawal their own coins.

Think about it more than 100,000 users with multiple addresses each will be the biggest mixer of all time.

Considering that hackers won't keep coins in a exchange for long because they want to cash out asap then 99% of users funds are legit so if fbi will try to verify each address and each user will cost them more than they will be able to confiscate.

But if the owner has been detained then they won't have the opportunity to cash out to pay back their users even if they have kept the private keys hidden.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Question about BTC, BCC And Exchanges on: July 29, 2017, 10:36:45 PM
From what i understood bitfinex going to support BCC,
My question is, if i will upload BTC to Bitfinex, and then return the BTC to my local wallet, will the BCC stay on the exchange?

 Huh
Thanks

The same thing also felt, any sense I felt
I want to deposit some of my btc on exchange, to get bcc
But there is a fear of missing his btc

Isn't simpler just to keeep Bitcoins on wallet, where you got access to private keys if you want to get BCC after fork? If you are worried, I think it's safer way to keep bitcoins, especially if you don't have 100% trust in exchange.

Some people are unsure of how to do the split, exchanges are the best option for those who don't know enough about the process.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to Alts is like Human to Ants on: July 29, 2017, 10:34:54 PM
And prior to bitcoin going up and alts down it was the other way around, alts shot up much faster than bitcoin. In fact most altcoins have done much better than bitcoin over the last 6 months even after recent falls.

Actually I'm not really sure what the point of this thread is.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BAT, Tezos, EOS, PrimalBase, Civic, SONM — a digest of passed ICOs on: July 29, 2017, 10:33:22 PM
Among the list I think Civic is the only one that is a guaranteed winner and the ICO process went much more smoothly than any other despite some delays.
17  Other / Meta / Re: [WTF] MY ACCOUNT GOT BANNED AFTER JOINING WAVES CAMPAIGN on: July 26, 2017, 11:41:42 PM
It's not because of the waves campaign,  it's because of that other "pay to keep the thread on top" thing that you participated in.  Theymos gave all of those people bans, and rightly so.   That's the worst type of shitposting incentive I've ever seen here, much worse than typical sig campaigns.

Most campaigns until yesterday had rules of posting in the main thread at least once a week or similar. It seems the mod has locked all threads until the rules were remade to avoid this.

I'm actually surprised it went on for so long though.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Getting Altcoins - Airdrops etc. on: July 26, 2017, 11:37:24 PM
Has anyone ever made any significant amount from free coin giveaways or airdrops?
For me it just seems like a waste of time, but I'd love to hear from some other people who have some succes stories... Smiley

So far I've doubled my bitcoin holdings with Byteball. Also, Decred was another coin that the airdrop would be worth around 4 btc today if held. I think it was 1 btc worth at the time of airdrop as well, so of course most people took that and ran.

4 btc from an airdrop? I'm relatively new here and all I've seen are worthless airdrops. Do you think there will be others of value again in the future?
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee: Bitcoin will go above 500k $ in 3 years on: July 26, 2017, 11:27:27 PM
This is compltely crazy, and even the craziest man from the crazy men gang would not think about it. Moreover he is not to be trusted as he is praising for Bitmain's toy fork.

I saw this news couple days ago and I couldn't belive what I saw. This is crazy, and his bet is idiotic, how to take this guy seriously? I don't know how to process his statement about dick eating, this very stupid statement and I hope that this guy is joking.
Many comments about this, like others I also think that price can't go high so much in so short period of time. This guy will lose his money and his dick, I don't understand why he needed promotion like this one, he could try to be more reasonable in his prediction. But what to expect from the fool, we will see for 3 years what will happen and how close his prediction will be.
It sounds crazy, this is a publicity stunt or what? I don't understand what is he trying to proof. 500k is a huge amount and if he is predicted it in the coming three years to be the value so he must be gone through some working on it, I am astonished what kind of working will it be? There are plenty of things going in my mind to defend this 500k but nothing works on it seriously. He must be high at the time he said such a huge price and is also accepting bets about it. This is strange, he is going to be in a great mess...

That John McAfee is just an elder freak. He is also a good friend of the biggest manipulator Jihan Wu. That's why they try to claim these ideas over the community. So that they push the people for bitcoin or forked new type bitcoin.

Well I won't go into conspiracy theories but John McAfee does seem like a bit of a crazy person anyway.

It's great that he has so much faith in bitcoin but ultimately it doesn't mean much.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: August 1st vs Hard fork in November discussion on: July 24, 2017, 11:27:37 PM
The FUD will certainly be bigger because this time there isn't complete consensus on a hardfork where as segwit was eventually locked in with more or less 100% of mining power.

This creates uncertainty and a much higher chance of a chain split meaning much higher chance of extreme FUD as it happens.
