In terms of consistency, I think Ball will win the ROTY award, I guess there are betting odds available now already and I believe Ball is the heavy favorites. When all healthy there is no way Dallas will not be in the playoffs. They will also be way higher then on 8th spot. Last 10 games their ratting is 8/2. That is only behind the Nets. And Mavericks were the team that give only loss to Nets in last 10 games. Only if healthy. We have to remember that the Nets that night were playing without Irving and Durant, while Mavericks just got KCP back in the line up. A healthy Nets also is hard to beat but I'm not underestimating the Mavericks as they've been playing so great in the last 10 games. Very serious, I think they are gambling on this year. I mean they got everything and hopefully that the big 3 will be healthy at least for this season, (although Durant is still resting). And to cap it off getting Griffin for insurance policy (yes he is also prone to injury but he can still contribute night in, night out.
Because they know that the big 3 is also ageing, prone to injury, so they might as well shoot everything this season and then see how it goes after that.
Letting KD rest for the big fight ahead.  I am not really a fan of Griffin but this could be his big break. Might as well give everything he got while the chances are high to get a ring. Harden can facilitate and I think Griffin will shine again if Harden will keep on feeding him even just for outside shots. Let's see how it will affect their chemistry which I think was getting better before they acquired Blake. I wish it wont be in a bad direction. I honestly think that griffin wants to have a ring before he retires, we thought that clippers years will bring a ring for them, but fail miserably, and I think he purposely underperform to leave the previous team because he knows that top teams are looking for a backup center, he has saved a lot of money over the years and the only thing that is missing is a ring, that's my opinion, and its a force under the basket. |
