8-bit-party, can you get a github repo and slack or discord channel going?
I'm a coder and can help out with this coin if you need it.
There is already a slack: go8bit.slack.com But with slack you have to invite people with email now, probably because of all the spam in last months thanks for the link yes it is saying invite required, do you know who is admin of the group? can they send out an invite? can someone invite me too ??

I don't know the performance from xptminer to xptminer2. But i tested both, xptminer2 in riepool, and xptminer in ublock. Definitely better profits in ublock. I transfered all my hashrate there. I can 100% report the same thing - the closedsource xptminer2 on Riepool reports better hashrates than the opensource xptminer on ublock. But I did about 2 weeks on Riepool before growing frustrated that my own miners were solving blocks at a much higher rate than that at which I was getting rewarded. The difference was significant, too - not just a function of the margin of error. On ublock, even though the opensource miner reports much lower hashrates, I'm actually earning a great deal more, and my miners are getting rewarded appropriately for the number of blocks they solve. This leads me to believe that either the closedsource miner's hashrates are being artificially inflated or Riepool is suffering from too many block-withholding attacks. i can confirm the same. i tested xtpminer2 at riepool for about two days. despite the fact that it shows bigger hashrates the earnings are much less than ublock.it with xtpminer(1). since it has been discussed here before i guess its because of the many block-withholding attacks.

i like this dev. he is clearly delusional and has humor. Both are signs of a genius. he didnt reply that often in the previous months so i'm glad he is alive and in addition he gave us some infos at his latest posts...so, i guess, you whether take the risk with him or you can dump and leave. i also wanted the windows wallet fixed cause i have coins for like 10 mns and atm i run only one....but whatever...i like it as a linux coin. It made me research and remember stuff again. i might actually try to configure 2-3 mns on the linux machine if i find some time. we believe in you 8-bit-party. dont game over like atari did.

If anyone's considering setting up multiple mns on a system in the future I HIGHLY recommend using Ubuntu 16.04 Server, rather than Desktop. Huge resources are conserved this route. On my system I was only able to run 6 instances of 8bitd through ubuntu desktop, and even then one or more mn would drop out every couple days. With ubuntu server I am now up to 8 mns, I think I could get one or 2 more going even, and I only have 8gb ram installed right now, plenty of resources left over to do other stuff. It is running 100x more stable than with ubuntu desktop, it feels like, I'd feel comfortable not checking this for weeks at a time. I'll check back in in a few days.
I'm considering it and i guess you are right, especially if your ubuntu machine is on old hardware. i have coins for a few more mns but i cant imagine my ubuntu running more than 3 instances. i might actually format and install ubuntu server to see how it goes

guyyysss youuuu guyyyyyyyzzz chill
since we count facts in this topic.
Its a fact that crypto world have a lot of scammers Its a fact that 4 months for a coin is nothing. 0 time. Its a fact that devs scam/run away and people/new devs/community take over in many coins. Its a fact that some people are going to become insane if they dont chill out. Its a fact that this topic is insane. Its a fact that i, personally, enjoy it, it has eveeerrrathing.
I cannot understand some of you...i mean, if you believed that you re gonna invest into something and its gonna profit 1000% in 4 months, then its a fact that you are insane. I mined this coin for about two weeks...so i dont really care and anyway i m a HODL fan. i cannot imagine how much you might have lost in order to have 4 posts on every page.
Still you can point all your rage and energy to the people that "might" (i cant prove if they are, so far facts show some of the core devs might actually be scammers) be the actual scammers and you have their names and faces.
If epicyclic and the community want to take over this project, they can. no? Such this happen all the crypto time. I m not saying that they're going to successfully make it and revive this project.....but they can try. no?
Anyway, its friday. Go smoke good stuff, drink, chill and enjoy life people. Dont invest more than you can take...thats my suggestion but it should be a fact.
