don't be stupid. not accurate at all.

Who exactly claimed it is an accurate price? Don't be an asshole on the back of your own assumptions. We're happy because it got listed.

It's not really listed is it? Only on HitBTC

We are happy that it got listed at CoinMarketCap. That was the point. We were not claiming that it is an accurate price or anything along those lines.

Alright, I agree!

Iemand hier ervaringen daarmee?
1403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My Ether Wallet on: June 19, 2017, 06:41:12 AM
Hi,

Somehow I just don't catch on MyEtherwallt security features.

I wonder if MEW is save enough, because I read at their help center e.g. "Please be sure that you are carefully and accurately typing your private key. A single wrong character will open a different wallet than is yours". Wow, I can open another one's wallet (by off chance) and withdrawal easily his amount because no additional (personal) password is requested then? For which reason I must set this "strong password (at least 9 characters)" at wallet creation, if this password isn't needed anymore later? Not very trustworthy... why I can unlock my wallet just with my private key only? Wouldn't it be much more secure if I must additionally input the correct, related ETH address or personal password - and wallet stays locked if the key and address/password doesn't match?

Also, why there is no "logout" button, resp. "lock wallet again"? I always have a bad feeling if I close the browser window while wallet is unlocked. Atm I´m uncertain if I really should store a higher ETH amount there. Thanxx for some thoughts/explanations and sorry for my rookie English.

Fair questions. Would also love to hear answers from more experienced members.

I've got another question: hoe does the "Gas" work? Do I need to store Ether on MEW in order for me to transfer tokens? How much Ether is needed?
1404  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is it safe to hold coins in your Kraken account? on: June 19, 2017, 06:39:16 AM
When I store my coins on my Kraken account they hold the private key?
Yes they do. They only give you a public address so you can deposit on their wallets and use that balance on their website to sell/trade Bitcoins. Therefore, you don't really control the coins you have on their exchange.

I also have a wallet from MyEtherWallet, from which I do have a private key. The downside is that it seems that there are some coins that I can not hold in that wallet. Do you have multiple wallets for multiple coins? Seems so confusing..
Every coin has their own wallet. In your case, MyEtherWallet can only hold Ethereum coins and ERC-20 tokens.

If you want to store Bitcoins you will need to find and download a proper wallet for BTC. You can find the most recommended ones in this page: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet. (I recommend you to try Electrum - https://electrum.org)

If you don't want to download one wallet for each coin you have, there are a few wallets that let you manage multiple coins in a single software. If you are looking for this and have multiple coins to store, Exodus (https://www.exodus.io) is a good choice.

They support those coins atm: Bitcoin, Augur, Dash, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Golem, Litecoin, and are planning to support more in the future.

Thanks a lot for your help! Where can i find what tokens are ERC-20 tokens? Is there a list?
Yes, there's one on github.

Note:  I would feel safest using a hardware wallet along with MyEtherWallet or taking other precautions for security.

How does that work? I can either store coins on MEW or on a hardware wallet right, not both?

When will it be known on what exchanges BNT will be released?

No infos on that to avoid speculation. But you will be able to buy BNT via smart contract when it goes live in the next days.

Exchanges can add any token/coin they want.
But Bancor is not actively pursuing relationships with them. (Means that they not really gonna request this exchanges to put BNT inside)

Whether the devs did request or not is not confirmed, they give  no info regarding this to avoid speculation.

How will you know what your BNT tokens are worth?
1407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] [WGR] | Wagerr | The Betting Blockchain | Bounties on: June 18, 2017, 08:33:37 AM
In terms of investment, on what term do you guys expect the value of a Wagerr token to exceed the ICO price? At the moment there doens't seem to be an overwhelming interest, otherwise the ICO would have been long completed (like when BAT and BNC had their ICO).

Is this a mid/long term investment?

I'm thinking of joining the ICO.

Hi,

1410  Local / Alt Coins (Nederlands) / Re: [ANN] Gulden [NLG] Gulden.com/nl on: June 18, 2017, 07:15:07 AM
Kan je de Gulden ook in de MyEtherWallet houden?

Nee dat kan niet, Gulden staat los van alle coins

Waar kan je die het beste in bewaren?
1411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] [WGR] | Wagerr | The Betting Blockchain | Bounties on: June 17, 2017, 07:05:38 PM
Can I send my BTC directly from Poloniex to the ICO address?

Also, what Wallet can I use to hold te tokens?

Yes, you can. Just make sure you send the right amount.

Myetherwaller will work for holding tokens.

Great, thanks for replying!

1413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to store ICO tokens? on: June 17, 2017, 04:21:32 PM
So where can I store ICO tokens that are built on Ethereum ERC20 Tokens

I know of Myetherwallet but its confusing to me.

I know you can send the ErC20 tokens to any Ether wallet, but where would i see the breakdown of how many I have in a wallet?

Some tokens can be sroted in some ETH wallets. I usually use MyETH wallet to store my tokens because I can get access to my wallet everywhere as long as I remember my password and store my UTC file online

Is it smart to store you UTC file online? Isn't it easy for hackers to hack your wallet?

I've looked at Exodus but they only support the coins that are more or less established. For instance, BNT can not be held in Exodus. I will keep that coin in MEW.

Low amounts of cryptocurrency (between 0 and 100 USD) I will keep at Poloniex or Kraken. If they screw their users over, the damage is limited
1415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to store ICO tokens? on: June 17, 2017, 01:12:05 PM
MEW, like most people. I never had problems with MyEtherWallet.

Thats true, but there are some coins that can not be stored in a MEW wallet right? Like ripple and stratis?

I was thinking I just keep those coins on my Kraken account.
1416  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is it safe to hold coins in your Kraken account? on: June 17, 2017, 01:08:15 PM
It will never be 100% safe to store your coins/money in any exchange or web wallets.
What you want to do is be sure to hold and fully control your private-keys, so you can do whatever you want with your Bitcoins.

When you don't own the private keys for the wallet holding your coins, the exchange that does can do anything they want with your Bitcoins, like: Freezing your account, run with your money, don't let you withdraw or let your coins be stolen by a hacker.

You should only use exchanges to do transactions between btc/altcoins/usd and withdraw afterwards. Never use them for long-term storage.
Just remember that what happened to Mt. Gox and multiple other web wallets and exchanges can easily happen with any exchange you use...

1417  Economy / Exchanges / Is it safe to hold coins in your Kraken account? on: June 17, 2017, 12:44:40 PM
Hi,

Some people have Wallets to keep their coins, but some just keep their coins in their Kraken account.

Is it safe to keep coins (100 - 500 dollars) in your Kraken account?

Kind regards,

Dvd1989
