VISA has banned prepaid debit cards for many bitcoin providers.
He has mentioned Mastercard, not Visa. Don't know if that is by mistake or it's realy MC. In latter case it should be functioning. Anyway, if the provider is Wave Crest they have broken their partnership with Visa and all Bitcoin debit cards are suspended so you can't order a card. Try with Advcash or Mistertango they are still working. The provider is Wave Crest and this might be a related issue. Advcash and Mistertango use Mastercard? Advcash cards re dead too. |

Just got my advcash. Took 9 days, sent on the 10th of jan using their free shipping option. Is a mastercard, issued in gibraltar.
Will use in a couple of days, you're supposed to load it with bitcoin. Can't keep bitcoin on advcash wallet and load it at a later time, they don't have a btc wallet there, only usd, gbp, brl, eur.
Interesting. So Wave Crest is still operating as usual but now offering MasterCard instead? I remember Visa killed their partnership with Wave Crest earlier this month. If you got this MasterCard from Gibraltar and the issuer is Wave Crest, then it looks like there is still hope out there. What I liked about Wave Crest's cards was the tri-currency feature and the high spend limits. Their fees were very reasonable, especially if you compare it to other cards (WageCan, to name one). Online bin checker doesn't say wavecrest specifically, but seems like it. 531169 GIBRALTAR MASTERCARD DEBIT PREPAID Paid like 15$, got 5 credited to account. Sure beats that other mastercard with a 230$ issue fee lol Waiting for the xmlgold.eu card to get here also. Supposedly it's a visa that still works. Will see when it comes and post, maybe compare the two , fee loading wise. If you ordered XML.Gold.eu, can you please ask them who issues their cards? Due to mentioned reasons with Wavecrest and VISA, I d like to differentiate. If Wavecrest provides Mastercard, it would be smart to get VISA from Wirecard issuer. I think Mistertango provides their card but due to my personal issues with their support, I d like a more reliable provider. Simply cant believe these large card companies are so slow and have been so unprepared and relied to only 1 provider. Thanks for this update. Not sure what's happening behind the scenes. Probably flooded with registration requests now that Wave Crest died. I better load my Mistertango account with small BTC amounts only. I would hate to be stuck with unresolved issues for days or weeks without help from their support. Still no reply from Mistertango and I think I ll be definitely not ordering a card from them. I can understand they re swamped with users but 4 days no reply is big NO. On the other hand, Advcash support s been lighting fast, I m talking responding in just hours after I d ask a question. |

If anyone uses Mistertango, I would be interested on how the funding of the card goes, since I've read that funding Bitcoin has huge fee. Or maybe there's another solution (funding from 3rd party exchange?) I don't know of.
