1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [OFFICIAL] mcxNOW Final Investment Round. 6700BTC already invested on: November 01, 2013, 04:20:31 AM

mcxNOW.com Final Investment Opportunity.
Visit the BUYMCX page to buy one mcxFEE which represents 0.001% of all revenue (no costs taken from it) for a very reasonable amount of 0.4BTC . You get paid every 6 hours in a 1:1 direct fashion, the more mcxFEE you own the more you get paid.

Read more about mcxNOW from yahoo finance. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/bitcoin-digital-currency-exchange-mcxnow-085503878.html

mcxNOW is a bitcoin and altcoin currency exchange coded in c++. It is the fastest and most reliable exchange in the digital currency sector, with an uptime over 99.999% , no hacks and no security breaches in over 6 months of operation.

mcxNOW is going to be branching into gaming and gambling whilst remaining strictly fiat free to avoid unnecessary regulations. We expect gaming/gambling fees to be over 50% of mcxNOW fee volume in a few months, more than doubling current revenue and giving all investors an extremely desirable daily return.

mcxNOW.com has seen explosive growth since the complete site overhaul and relaunch of "mcxNOW.com 2.0" on the 11th of
September 2013 (AEST).  One of the most important things that tends to be forgotten in every valuation people have attempted
to make to date, is revenue growth potential.  The growth of mcNOW.com in the seven weeks since the site relaunch has been
phenomenal; below is some important information to factor in when attempting to calculate the value of mcxFEE units or
mcxNOW.com in general, and when making your decision upon purchasing further mcxFEE.

Key features, aims and general information regarding mcxNOW.com exchange;

  Since 11/09/2013 (AEST), mcxNOW.com has redistributed over 195 BTC back to users (this amount takes into
consideration not only BTC, but the alternative (“alt”) coin amounts converted to BTC value). At current rates, that is
over $41,340 USD in less than 8 weeks. See notes 2/3.

  Current yearly dividend percentage return for a single unit of mcxFEE is over 14% per annum (this valuation is taken
from the last 5 days average payout amounts). See notes 2/3.

  Pre-update monthly exchange revenue was, on average around $10,000 USD. For October 2013 mcxNOW made over $100000 USD in fees.

  RealSolid is committed to bringing more and more innovative and original ideas to the exchange.  He will actively look
towards making mcxNOW.com the home of next generation crypto currency / commodities (such as Microcash) and
look to more unique and profitable ways to generate income for users; see current examples below.

  Paid bans - This is a perfect example of one of the innovative and original ideas that will become the norm for
mcxNOW.com.  Since inception this unique feature has generated over 100 BTC in straight revenue, which means over
31 BTC went straight back into the hands of users.  After this mcxFEE tranche two release that amount would increase
to 76 BTC! See notes 3/4/5/6.

  Pro trader - This feature costs 0.05 BTC per 14 days, offers numerous advantages for traders, and is paid for by roughly
2-3% of traders currently. As features are added, it is naturally anticipated this number will rise alongside the increase in
users, making for a constant revenue earner.

  Lotto - Another unique feature is the hourly lotto. This is currently paying back users with 1000 mcxFEE allocated to its
pool by Admin (out of the Admin’s 50,000 share).  Entries are granted (max of 1 entry per Lotto) by buying any coin or
mcxFEE.

  Interest on deposits - Yet another unique and innovative feature is the current allotment of 25,000 of Admin’s shares to
pay interest on deposits for all coins - straight out of the revenue!  This has been a steady earner for many, and
although the interest rate can vary due revenue generation spikes, it generally is paying more than enough to
encourage many customers to keep their crypto-wealth stored at mcxNOW.com instead of anywhere else.  This is a
completely authentic (and legal) interest system that can be self-audited by any depositor to reassure any concerns
anyone might have. See note 2 for revenue details.

  The user account tally has grown by over 40% since the launch of mcxNOW.com 2.0, closely relating to the massive
increase in revenue.

  Average online user counts have grown by over 350% since the launch of mcxNOW.com 2.0.

  Both of the above figures are as of this date, and these increases are continuing daily.

  BTC on deposit at mcxNOW.com has gone from an 800 BTC average pre-update, to over 9300 BTC as of this date - a 10x
increase. See notes 2/3.

  A commitment towards more innovative, original, exciting and unique paid features to maximise revenue (and
therefore increase mcxFEE dividend streams) and user experience.  Gaming or even gambling of some kind has been
suggested as a potential earner.  Both paid bans and pro trading accounts have shown the earning power paid features
hold when compared with standard trading fees.

  A potential 25% increase in trading fee revenue can be achieved with a trading fee increase as small as 0.05% (making a
0.25% trading fee, so 0.5% in revenue per total standard trade including the buy and sell order (mcxFEE trades would
still be 0.25% total since no commission is charged on the mcxFEE portion).  There is also room for further small fee
increases considering mcxNOW.com is currently charging well under most competitor prices per trade.

  When making any calculations please remember, that with this fast paced growth, trading volume could easily double,
triple (and beyond) in a very short span of time.  The world of crypto currencies / commodities is very new, and
expanding at an exponential pace.

  Once the 45,000 mcxFEE offering is filled, 76% of all site revenue will be going straight back into the hands of its users.
This is taking into account lotto and interest on deposits in their current form, which is subject to change.

  mcxNOW.com is operating completely legally under Australian law (where it is operated from).  Bitcoin is currently not
deemed money or any type of e-currency (under Australian law) so provided the exchange does not deal in fiat
currencies (USD/AUD/etc) there is no legal risks involved and all funds are safe.

  The potential for future voting rights of some variety for mcxFEE holders.  This could be easily implemented whilst
Admin would still retain 100% exchange ownership.  An example of voting matters, would be the next feature, or even
coin to be added.

Note 1: Each mcxFEE currently entitles the bearer to 0.001% of the total pre cost revenue generated by mcxNOW.com, each "dividend payment" is made on a 6
hourly basis.  Ownership of mcxFEE does not consist of any share in mcxNOW.com company ownership itself, nor does it currently carry any voting rights.
Note 2: Data obtained from https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AioqMMSVIC5tdFplWndsdmZuaGxyN01xemxtNWYxVGc#gid=0
Note 3: All data accurate as of 11am AEST, 28/10/2013 (Mt Gox USD last price $207.00).
Note 4: Data obtained from http://mcxchart.com/chatstats
Note 5: Interest and Lotto taken into account, currently 1,000 of Admin's mcxFEE go towards hourly lotto’s, and 25,000 go towards interest payments.

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] mcxNOW.com : Deposit. Earn Interest. Trade. on: October 17, 2013, 04:19:44 PM
Nice, but it is bad that there is no way to recover a missing password automatically

It's so much easier if you just don't forget it in the first place. Manual resets are more secure, but more work for me.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] mcxNOW.com : Deposit. Earn Interest. Trade. on: October 17, 2013, 02:10:07 PM
Just did an update today. New features include

*) Javascript performance improvements ranging from 6x to 20x faster. Should be much better for low power devices and pro traders now
*) Chat highlighting when name is mentioned
*) Some improvements to web proxies to increase connection capacity

I'm doing another update soon which will allow pool payments (and now BTC-e which is also using them) to be fully automated and the removal of 2FA using an existing 2FA device.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Price manipulation and market frontrunning at mcxnow.com on: September 27, 2013, 03:21:33 PM
I haven't seen any pump or dump activity in the freakbin (not that I monitor it 24 hours a day). The freakbin is meant for REGULAR users of the exchange who have views that are typically offensive. It gives them an outlet which doesn't disrupt regular users and is in some ways a reward for being loyal members for so long. It's an attempt to make the exchange more professional. An attempt! I think with the recent payban introductions people have been self moderating fairly well.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ripple has failed. on: September 19, 2013, 02:44:03 PM
One reason Ripple will likely fail in my opinion is this concept of allowing USD to be shifted "anonymously" among accounts. At least their marketing spin said you could do this. The recent laws about transfering USD around will mean this will likely be restricted or stopped.

I'm actually interested in what their source code will bring to light because their marketing claims are pretty big. And from the early structures I looked at it looks like it's going to be less efficient than Bitcoin their transaction engine. But wait and see!

You make some good points about the web of debt and such that is also another issue.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: mcxNOW adds PPCoin (PPC) trading - Get interest on your PPC deposits on: September 19, 2013, 02:27:28 PM
great stuff. more coins is pretty much the only thing mcxnow still needs, rest is already top notch imho.
especially a good initiative to start rebranding it to Peercoin instead of peepeecoin.

i would love to see mcxnow only add coins that somehow added some innovation... if i look at all the gutter filth at coinchoose only these few tingle my memories for doing something inherently new:

megacoin (bitcoin client code for scrypt coin, new difficulty adjustment algorithm)
anoncoin (tor stuff)
florin was the first that added transaction comments (I think!) but that function was quickly stolen / added as well by others

freicoin was the original demurrage coin I guess, but not sure if that should count.

just new algos, but again, not sure how innovative that actually is (i.e. primecoin is a nicer gimmick):
sifcoin (and not quark/secure/cthulucoin) used the mixed cpu algo first.
yacoin used scrypt-jane first

please correct me if you have some better knowledge for some of them. but if I am not mistaken all the other coins are more or less the same poop - some of them are just "better" than others because of the dev's ability (and motivation) to add new stuff, more services, better name, marketing, and fairer launches. But still rather boring.

At the moment I'm just looking at adding the most traded coins. I already have a pretty high policy in regards to what coins are accepted at mcxNOW.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] mcxNOW.com : Deposit. Earn Interest. Trade. on: September 19, 2013, 12:50:02 PM
RealSolid or someone else: is it possible to unlock the device I use
with mcxNow for Google Authenticator? For example, if I change my cell phone and
I want to lock mcxNow with another device.

I ask because I couldn't find a way to disable Google Authenticator and use it with another
device.

Thanks.

Yes this feature will be coming soon. I've spent a long 2 months working on some rather involved features at mcxNOW so I'm going to slow my pace now to recoup some energy. But it shouldn't be too long away.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / mcxNOW adds PPCoin (PPC) trading - Get interest on your PPC deposits on: September 19, 2013, 12:47:56 PM
https://mcxnow.com/exchange/PPC

25% of all PPC exchange fees are given back to users in the form of interest payments. Simply holding a positive PPC balance at the exchange will see you get interest on it. Now your trades will contribute to more money back to you. The same is true for Bitcoin, 25% of fees fund interest payments.

Read more about interest and how you can also get a fixed percentage of PPC fees through the feeshares on the exchange.

https://mcxnow.com/features.html

Currently I'm not doing PoS mining to get the 1% interest that PPCoin itself has within the chain. But I plan to eventually also pass this on into the feepool so everyone can benefit. Thanks.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NOTICE] mcxNOW had a 3rd party leaked database run against the login system on: September 18, 2013, 04:01:08 PM
The recent update to mcxNOW actually improved the handling of google auth 2FA. I'm a bit more lenient with 2FA devices that have wrong time. Seems many are 30 seconds behind or in front of "reality", so it should be a lot smoother with current update.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] mcxNOW.com : Deposit. Earn Interest. Trade. on: September 18, 2013, 03:58:14 PM

How the hell are you gonna tell me I can't have a space in my password?

I've allowed the full ASCII set in password as of the current update. There was no particularly valid reason I was restricting it.

You have changed it to 12 characters now. I just joined.  Cheesy

Yeah the new error message should say 12 characters too Tongue
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] mcxNOW.com : Deposit. Earn Interest. Trade. on: September 18, 2013, 08:44:44 AM

EDIT: And current LTC rate is 3.25%, not 1700%

no doubt there is a bug in the system...

but i have my numbers for my ltc-deposit - for the last 2 days:

14.09.2013: 10.99 % annual interest
15.09.2013:   6.21 % annual interest

please check your numbers again - 3.25 % annual interest for ltc-deposit is definitely wrong!

The old system was 360x off, this was because I was calculating it every minute instead of every 6 hours whilst testing and forgot to decrease it when it went live. It's only an estimate so it's not _that_ important but the estimate will be much more correct within a few days.

It was possible with some simple math to figure out the real interest rate but at least now the estimator will be much more accurate (in a few more payment cycles).

The first update to mcxNOW v2.0 has gone live. Some improvements made on user feedback and some small fixes.

* Show current and total confirmations needed on incoming transactions
* Fixed issue with QR code scanning on chrome browser
* Fixed issue with QR code scanning when the dark theme was enabled
* Better error messages on account page when updating your account settings fails for some reason
* Improved https://mcxnow.com/features.html to better explain feeshares and interest payments (thanks Necom, bidji, eeharris)
* Improved main + news page
* Log price with every trade
* Click on nickname highlights chat box
* General chat and exchange page fixes
* Estimated interest rate will now be correct (once a few more interest cycles occur)
* Full ASCII range now allowed in password, and must be a minimum of 12 characters.

If you have any problems seeing your account page it's likely because your browser is caching some old javascript files, so try CTRL+F5 to force it to update.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NOTICE] mcxNOW had a leaked database run against the login system on: September 16, 2013, 08:24:12 AM
One simple thing could have prevented it that many other exchanges have already implemented.

Withdrawals only through email verification

Or 2FA. The problem is these people who use the same user/pass at every site typically don't care about enabling extra security features either.

But why do you unlike other exchanges not require email verification?

Its a major security step the "most secure" exchange should probably have

I believe emails are an invasion of privacy of my users. I've removed them from the site and now will only support offline second authentication methods such as google auth.
