1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: June 12, 2017, 06:01:22 PM
someone have an example of zcash .bat suprnova configuration ? really dont understand what to put where...

"EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner
miner.exe --server zec.suprnova.cc --user suprnova.1 --pass x --port 142  --cuda_devices 0 1 2 3 "

when i change password or user it's dont work...

thanks!

1) Hopefully you don't have "'s spanning the two lines.  that might cause problems.

2) Did you create an account profile on zec.suprnova.cc ?  You have to have an account for each currency, so even if you created one for another currency, you have to go back in specifically for zec.

3) You don't have to specify cuda_devices (if you want to use all).

4) I think the help text has an error - I believe you want to use port 2142, not 142 (but I could be wrong)

Anyone use mining pool hub with EWBF miner on Linux?

I do not know if mining pool hub will return no work, or disconnect to for an autoswitch.

I do not know if we can configure EWBF to exit if it gets a 'no work' response from a mining pool.

Thanks !

hmmm.. maybe I'm wrong.  Last I went looking sgminer either didn't support Linux or Nvidia .. but it seems there is support.. so maybe I just couldn't find it before.

Would anyone be interested in an 'auto-switcher' for Linux?

The first revision would require the user to do a bit of upfront configuration (point to all miners, set up wallets, all using editing on the Linux processors).

I have messed with curl / whattomine's json interface enough to parse which coins are the most profitable, by how much difference, and I know enough to find/kill processes and restart new miners.

I already have a script which can easily switch what 'coin' to mine - even supporting multiple pools for a single coin.

I could probably interface with most pools to figure out if your rig is underperforming at the pool and switch to the next.

The question is - does anyone care?

There are already auto-miners on Windows (nicehash/minersgate).  There might be one for Linux that I haven't found yet.

Thoughts?  Features desired before you'd be interested?

Is there a way to get the coins result from the front page and add in skein to the html results?

I tried hacking in skein but with no results.

Any chance the download instructions could include a linux command line to download the miner?

example:

wget "https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0B9EPp8NdigFiLVVnZDhjc2Vyc3c" -O zecminer_0.3b.tar.gz
gunzip zecminer_0.3b.tar.gz
tar -xf zecminer_0.3b.tar

It would be nice if I could point people to those instructions to pick up and run your miner - if they are using Linux (I now have the instructions, but think they belong in the main page so people trust the instructions..)

Thanks !
