I don't think that Bitcoin will ever replace fiat as a currency. In the first place, Bitcoin failed to function as what the creator intended it to be. Instead of being the lead of digital currency as a alternative to fiat, It became more of an asset, a piece for investment and home for manipulations. Bitcoin has a very long way to be able to function as what is intended for even within 20 years. Fiat has a more established foundation and has been the medium of transaction since the rise of civilization. Bitcoin is very volatile for a currency too. What I can see for now is that Bitcoin and fiat co-exists together.

I think the OP doesn't want to use USDT as a trading coin. He was asking about making the right move during this bearish market. He's having second thoughts about converting to USDT to save his asset and then buy back when it becomes more lower. You have a point nonetheless. USDT is never a money making coin since it's value is constant. USDT is only good to save your money while the market continues to fall down.

The only factor of those 5 mentioned that obviously affected the Bitcoin's price is the series of rejection by SEC on ETF proposals for Bitcoin. This has caused a massive decline and created a commotion within the community. It is as if the future of Bitcoin relies on the ETF. Again and again, ETF is better but not needed right away.

Investors like me who participate in the Jibbit sale will support the platform of Jibbit and help revolutionize the cannabis market globally and promote its legalization. he concept and purpose of this project is very good. I find Jordan Belfort's comment about SEC not gonna put their hands on Bitcoin has a sense. The government will never allow a digital currency to threaten their ways so I can understand that. That's also the reason why SEC has been rejecting the ETF so far. Though I wouldn't agree that they can phase out Bitcoin. Bitcoin has established a big community for a few years already.

I agree with you, there will still be waves of downtrend even during in BER months. The ETF has been causing the community to be shaken. I don't see SEC accepting the proposal of ETF's. I don't even think it is a good time to propose ETF for Bitcoin yet. I was just shock with your price speculation of ETH and BCH though. Isn't it not normal for them to crash like that?

Hoping for the best possible outcome is not bad. After all we're all just speculating it. Personally, I've always believe in Ethereum's potential. ETH is one of the most massively adopted platform aside from BTC. Given more time, ETH will always bounce back everytime it falls down. This time, I think what's pulling ETH up is the effect of BTC starting to go up. There is no specific event yet that is directly influencing the uptrend of ETH.

You need to make thorough research and gather information on existing platforms that are currently doing a great job in the crypto world. Consider if it is a versatile platform or a long term platform that can pass any obstacle that it might face. For sure there are potential platform that are better than Bitcoin in terms of it's features. Think about a platform that can be utilized and adopted worldwide. Think about a platform that can change the crypto world for the better.

First thing that comes into mind is the wrong impression on cryptocurrencies especially about Bitcoin. The scam around Bitcoin is what really hinders an ordinary person to engage into cryptocurrency. Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency in general has been used as a medium for scam and theft crimes. Though statistics say that there has been less crime related to Bitcoin before compared to now. Other factors are lack of knowledge about cryptocurrency, misleading fuds, lack of interest and etc... Most of the people is afraid of change. They want to stick to traditional currency and can't apprehend the future that lies into cryptocurrency.
