No users founds were affected, project is still very early so it's quite easy to get enough hash power to attack it but attacker couldn't liquidate the assets due to lack of liquidity on exchanges anyway. If there was enough liquidity he wouldn't be able to perform the 51% attack in the first place because likely the hash power required to perform a 51% attack would be impossible to get as you can't use asics and the total hash power would be much higher.

This project is very underrated IMO

Why total mined sum differs so much on scan.idena.io website from one epoch to another?

Example:
for epoch #0011 (10/08/19 - 10/12/19, 4 days) total mined is 363,101.98 DNA
for epoch #0013 (10/16/19 - 10/20/19, 4 days) total mined is 247,992.00 DNA

Other epochs also differ significantly from each other. Why is that? I thought that this sum is easy to calculate for any epoch of 4 days:
51840 x 4 = 207,360.00 DNA.

it differs on the number of blocks mined during those epochs

for epoch #0011 Block Mined - 30 256
for epoch #0013 Block Mined - 17 299

There could be 1 possible scenario, there are not enough node running/mining on epoch #0013 to move the blockchain faster like epoch #0011

i am not yet on that epoch so i don't know if an update was introduce to greatly reduce the emission after epoch #0011

I'm also not yet on Idena that time, there are a lot of complaints on Idena channel about wasted invitations one guy even go to the extent of selling his invitation code, so people who got the code will verify and it will not be wasted I don't think it's a good idea even if they promise that they will give back the money if they verified, why if the newbie fails the test, it's too early to monetize the code, we need more people coming in.

You can't monetize invitations because the guy that sells you the invitation could take the money and then kill your identity and also steal your stake during the first 3 epochs

Are there any bounties for this?

There is no bounty now. Team is focused on developing and testing to prepare for mainnet. Just download client and node and be part of the network. You will be one out of 200 first nodes. Thats enough to mine ~200 coins per day (3.2 $ taking 200 sat as current OTC price).

Yeah if you don't get scammed, OTC offers are full of scammers wait for exchanges, also you will avoid to sell at 120k marketcap to this guy who will probably sell them for 3-5x easily. (if you have the chance to get early why sell your coins for nothing, you will have time to sell what you mine for 1$ a day later anyway)

is the coin already in the exchange?

i'm wondering if it can be mine just by a laptop, why not a phone as well. seem like it doesn't require much resources to generate heat. if it can provide a dapp for us to mine using just out phones it would be a cool idea to start collecting this as well. i'm just not very positive when it comes to listing this on exchange which cost a lot today.

Not listed on exchanges yet. You can use an old laptop to mine it doesn't require your cpu power or gpu only some bandwith, and for  smartphones it's in the roadmap.

Well after 8/8 successful validations i have some insights that would be worth discussing.
1- add an option that will allow cropping graphics from google - sometimes only part photo is useful in flip. It will make creating quality flips much easier.
2- 2 min is sometimes not enough. In fact after 8 validations I've never had 2 min. 1 min 4* sec that's my time since validation loads for 10-20 seconds. I think that 3 min will still not be enough to validate more than 1 account constantly (maybe once per 5 validations having 10 easy flips and this will not increase amount of validated accounts (3 successful validation before dead from 2 wrong)).
3- Big issue in my opinion are wasted invitations. I've sent 5 of them and only 1 succeed. I always send them before short interview (Do you have your node synchronized. Will you take part in validation. Do you know when it is. etc.). How about my invited user miss validation the invitation will come back so I could use it to invite 2 users for next epoch?

Most people, including me can validate 2 nodes easily already, more time and I will have time for 3. I agree that the team should burn his premine down to 10-20% they even get rewards from the network for funding, it is only affecting future value IMO as people will never buy if the team can dump and drag the price to 0 at any moment, especialy if they are anonymous the risk is even higher. Because when you read the website they talk about a few whales owning all the coins with ethereum and bitcoin etc. and how Idena is different but this is exactly the same, even worse. After like 10 years their premine will still be 50% of the supply... I think it's better to have only 10% and real value and growth potential than all the cake worth nothing because the market is smarter now and nobody will buy this if they know how huge is the pre-mine. It is also impacting the rate of the network growth as a lot of people don't even care about the free coins when they see this.

So is this CPU or GPU mining? Satoshi did Bitcoin in the same way and only in several years people made Asics for mining. So here also would be able to mine with asics in some time... whats sense in this coin?

Satoshi did Bitcoin based on 'one CPU=one vote' principle. Idena introduces 'one person=one vote' rule. There is no GPU/Asic mining.
Idena blockchain is driven by a proof-of-person consensus. Every validated participant has an equal voting power in the network to produce blocks and validate transactions.

Well, but there are a lot of CPU mining coins in crypto space. Anf how do you be sure that only one prson will be able mine here? For example I can have 3 copmuters/laptops and mine with 3 PCs etc.  Huh

It is not CPU, you can mine it with a raspberry Pi and you will get the same amount of coins as the guy with a 2k gaming computer. Maybe you should try it or spend 5 min reading the FAQ or whitepaper.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: December 05, 2019, 05:43:04 PM
36 million premine to 0.1$ price at this moment(i asked to buy from team and they offer me DNA to 0.1$) means 3,6 million . I think is too much for a project like this. So it is a sign of scam for me. DYOR!

Bullshit I bought it for 0,015$ OTC, people should stop screaming scam to everything just because they are salty they lost it all investing in scam ICO's or they feel the need to call everything they are not invested in a scam like there is not enough money, it's not even trading on an exchange yet, you can mine them for free, you don't even spend any more electricity you just run it on the background so what do you want more. And the 2k euro at 0,1$ you can mine it in 2 months right now and show a proof when you call people scammer or shut up.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: December 05, 2019, 05:41:00 PM
I read in the IDENA FAQ that the total supply of IDENA is not limited. Why do you make IDENA coins is not limited? wouldn't it be better if the total supply was limited.

There are constant of 51 840 IDENA coins being distributed daily. Current circulating supply is equal to 44 934 700 what gives us 52k x 365 / 45M = 42% inflation annually ... pretty much but let's take a look at that after 10 years.

circulation supply 234 150 700 and still the same 52k coins daily what gives us 8% inflation. It's still not what average crypto enthusiast is looking for BUT ...

1-" Miners get 10% of transaction fees, 90% of the fees are burnt. "
2- ~5-20% of minted coins are being burned due to mining penalty, stake loss due to 2 wrong validations in a row
3- even more coin will be burned due to penalties (f.e shitty flips) and due to IDENA showing its real world value:
"100% of ad payments will be burnt"

So IDENA supply is not limited but if project will succeed I believe that it will reach max supply one day and due to amount of coins being burned the total supply will start to decrease.

There is also a lot of people who mined a lot early and lose it.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: November 29, 2019, 01:20:35 PM

The problem with this kind of premine are forks and clones.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Idena idea and implementation, and I think devs should be paid. This is a work. And Idena is really original and is working now. It is not a concept.
But soon (when the alt community react to this great coin) I predict someone will fork the project with 0 premine. And this will be a challenge for Idena.

Other solution would be implementing a DAO with the nodes as a masternodes and some percentage of the reward of the blockchain for development. This would be the ideal solution IMO.

It will not because who wants a copy instead of the orginal? How well are those bitcoin, monero, ethereum forks doing. It would only be very bullish to see forks of Idena in the future.

got scammed 1.49 btc, no answer from support waiting for a week now
14  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cubits.com - Scam on: December 01, 2018, 05:50:46 PM
I purchased 1.49 btc because I never had any issue with them but this time when I tried to withdraw the btc it was not processed when contacted the support the only answer was "for large withdraws we must do some security checks before, we can't give you an estimate about the time" now it's day 5 still haven't got my btc or money and they don't even answer to support requests anymore, I don't know anything about the "security issue" i'm fully verified and they don't ask me for anything. Second time they answered me they told me they are going to escalate the problem to financial team and that it could take several days.

I don't believe it's because of too much work, hype has died and when I used cubits last time it was at peak of fomo with probably thousand of costumers being registered each month and no issues for me to buy.

1.49 btc is not a large withdrawal, lots of people seem to complain lately (contacted one guy that was complaining on their twitter he said took a week to receive his money and told me to press on them). I asked them to contact me by phone or just give me the money back to my bank account, no reply.
15  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***Cubits Bitcoin Platform (Official Thread)*** on: November 28, 2018, 08:53:01 AM
They just scammed me 1.49 btc I think or they are trading against me and waiting that btc dumps to give it to me because it went up like 7% just after I bought... they tell me they are doing security checks and can't give me an estimate for almost 24hours now and don't answer tickets anymore. Be careful

seems they are enabled already

NO nothing works, you can't withdraw anything. Also password reset doesn't work either.

Can't withdraw my tokens from their website it says "withdraw for currency wtt blocked by administration" so they are keeping you from withdrawing so they can control the price on exchanges now ? Also why do I have to pay 0.003 (16$) to withdraw 15$ of btc especially now that you can move your bitcoins for like 3 cents? Your ico was a big fail already do you really want the last people who use your plateform to keep talking bad about you everywhere? I was thinking about buying one of your miner forget it now I won't buy a premium on the mining hardware wait 12 months to have it running and then pay more fees than the 5$ per year I make to withdraw... OK you can make  eggs but don't kill the chiken idiots ! also where is support ? where are the news about your mining facilities ?? communication also 0 ! I can't witrdraw because you ask for HUGE FEES and I can't withdraw my tokens to sell them ? whatamagonnado ?
