121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot - new top ten member on: August 23, 2020, 07:48:02 AM
I think it's just a bug from CMC, currently Polkadot New is at Rank 2155. I didn't follow Polkadot but for a moment I was shocked when Polkadot was in the Top 10 position, I didn't follow Polkadot. And for Polkadot members/hodlers, hope you find success there.

I am not following its price action closely but Polkadot (New) being at #2155 does not mean it is actually at this rank, it means that its circulating supply is not yet known/entered (at least on CMC). But as I see on Coingecko, it is in fact at #9, so it was not a bug on CMC. I expect DOT being in the top 5 in the future, its a huge project.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where Are You Next 5 Years? on: August 22, 2020, 12:07:44 PM
I have no clue to be honest. I remember that in 2017 I said to myself that I will exit the crypto space (at least financially) by 2020, but I am still here and I doubt I will give up on it anytime soon. I am not sure if I am mentally prepared to survive another 2+ year bear without taking any profits, so I will probably be better prepared than I was in 2017.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What were your biggest plays of Uniswap DeFi market? 10x - 100x gains! on: August 22, 2020, 12:01:21 PM
Props for your high returns, most of the people got burned when they hopped on the obscure Uniswap DeFi trains. I tried to make couple of flips on Uniswap right at the listings, but I was always left behind by bots and folks who used bigger slippage than me. I am still in profit, but nowhere near the OP's numbers, impressive.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your thought about New projects? on: August 22, 2020, 11:57:05 AM
Right now its basically almost impossible to familiarize yourself with every project that others may perceive as "promising" as there is a constant torrent of new DeFi projects that are popping up left and right. I try to weed out the ones with a low market cap, a working product and a solid team, so I lower the chances of being dumped on after the initial hype subsides.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All hope is lost?? on: August 22, 2020, 11:50:34 AM
Heh, being part of the DIA's signature campaign is a great first step towards recovering OP's funds as DIA has definitely a bright future ahead of it. Other than that, right now its quite simple to enrich your starting position if you take advantage of the present DeFi hype, just dont pick obscure projects and you should be fine. Maybe even search for channels via which you could participate in the pre-sales of low market cap projects and flip your investment right at the listing.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coins for bounty hunters on: August 22, 2020, 11:43:59 AM
I think its pretty simple in fact, folks that are making a living via bounty hunting would probably prefer being paid in stable coins as this form of payment is more stable and provide them a much better financial security, but others, who perceive bounty hunting as a hobby and an investing opportunity would prefer being paid with project's tokens as they have a potential to dramatically rise in worth.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinmarketcap's New Feature "Earn" on: August 22, 2020, 11:35:51 AM
An interesting idea and a solid incentive for people to learn more about specific crypto projects and about the blockchain technology itself. The prize of 10$ in Band is actually quite big if you take into account the amount of people that will/could take the quiz, but I guess the spots are limited. Eager to see in which currency will be the next payment.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee Has Left His Own Privacy Asset Project on: August 21, 2020, 04:51:15 PM
I dont know why people are still following this individual as he proved himself as a very shady and immature character. I would understand if folks would follow him for the purposes of entertainment, but taking financial advises from him and investing in projects with his involvement is just insane to be frank. Maybe for a short term to ride the hype wave, but not for any longer ffs.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: (GUIDE) How to trade on uniswap correctly on: August 21, 2020, 04:45:14 PM
There is also a necessity to "approve" tokens before being able to make a swap. People should be aware of it because it can be a negative surprise if you are in a situation of dumping/buying a newly listed token and time is of the essence. Also the slippage settings can be important in some situations, but I guess this guide is more about how to identify the correct ETH contract.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoronaCoin More drama, third exit scam and discord deleted on: August 21, 2020, 04:30:56 PM
I dont know why anyone of a lucid mind would invest in these kind of shitcoins when you have a ton of low market cap gems out there right now. Did they think that the name of the coin will attract wider community into adopting it or would it become kind of a meme coin, I just dont get it, but its not that surprising as more and more stupid money flows into the crpyto space right now.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best protfolio tracker on: August 21, 2020, 03:30:41 PM
At the moment I am using Delta and I am more than satisfied with its performance. On moments it can be a bit laggy, maybe because of its in-app ads, but hey, its free of charge so I cant complain. A year or so ago I was originally using Blockfolio, but I think I prefer Delta, either way, both of them are top tier choices.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VIP telegram channels...is it worht it on: August 18, 2020, 07:50:03 AM
I would say some of them are worth it if you are early to the party. Quite a few of these kind of groups created their own token as well which then mooned hard. I heard a lot of them have airdropped their tokens to their early members so for them the membership was completely free. There are also VIP channels where you can access exclusive pre-sale deals via them, so those would probably have the best value.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good project Vitalik! on: August 17, 2020, 10:10:56 AM
If you are here for the long run, it would be silly to sell ETH now, even if you bought it at sub 200 levels. I expect ETH to crush its old ATH next year and go on a path of much higher price discovery. I know that crypto "influencers" tend to overhype everything, but I think that 10K per 1 ETH at the peak of the upcoming bull run is more realistic than it may seem at the first glance.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quality Projects Revival on: August 17, 2020, 10:04:52 AM
Many 2017 projects went bankrupt because of their poor fund management, just remember the ICO craze back then, projects were successfully raising tens of millions just because of their shiny websites and decent whitepapers. But if their short-sightedness resulted in bankruptcy because they failed to foresee a relatively long crypto winter, its on them. Maybe they could achieve their goals with additional funding now, but I doubt people will invest in half-dead projects as the market is full of vibrant new projects that provide a much better investing opportunity.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons Why am I adding as many Ethereum bags as possible? on: August 17, 2020, 09:55:21 AM
The OPs post looks like a badly constructed shill post, but hey, I agree with the sentiment that ETH will perform very well in the upcoming bull market, so for a while now my plan has been to increase my ETH holdings as much as possible, mostly on backs of the current DeFi hype. DeFi bubble may burst in the coming months, but ETH will stay here for good, so its a no brainer.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to decide on: August 16, 2020, 09:33:35 AM
I really hope you did not dump your precious RSRs, right now its going insane and I believe this is only the beginning. Not a fan of Flexa, but other coins in your portfolio are definitely solid picks. Back to RSR, right now its basically listed only on one big exchange, imagine when others list it and provide a ton more liquidity. Its still a long term hold, but I think it will blow up in the coming months.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Gas transactions price is about to hit 300 on: August 16, 2020, 09:25:34 AM
I feel like paying 4$ for a single ETH/ERC20 transaction has become a new normal, I dont even flinch anymore when I see a 5$ fee in MetaMask, or a 15$ fee on uniSwap or Kyber. Its really getting ridiculous, but hey, we are in a bull market, or at least preparing for one, so people are less sensitive and they are more often prepared to overlook the insanely high transaction costs.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uniswap Listings on: August 16, 2020, 09:19:00 AM
Jumping on this UniSwap train is the same as gambling. There has been numerous recent projects that attracted a ton of "get rich fast" people with decent Whitepapers and websites, but they failed to sustain the hype and became forgotten pretty fast, or even worse, their contract got hacked, they exit scammed etc. I would play around with this scene only with your "throw away" money tbh.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what new coins are promising? on: August 16, 2020, 09:12:10 AM
I strongly agree with the above statement, right now its probably your best bet to invest in promising new DeFi projects (the ones with a low market cap) if you want to take a certain amount of risk and a chance for a massive ROI. And I am talking only about short/mid term investments, dont marry those DeFi bags as you wont know when the DeFi party will be over for most projects in the DeFi sphere.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you trade if you won't leave your coins on exchange on: August 16, 2020, 09:05:54 AM
Leaving your funds on an exchange for prolonged periods of time is my last resort solely in situations when my hardware wallet does not support a specific coin that I am holding. And I have in mind only tier 1 exchanges not some shady ones, I would never trust my funds with the latter. The answer to the asked question is, dont day trade and stick to swing trading, that way it is less likely that you will get rekd in the short term and you will as well avoid the risk of keeping your funds on the exchange.
